    Tantalate-based Perovskite for Solar Energy Applications

    To realize a sustainable society in the near future, the development of clean, renewable, cheap and sustainable resources and the remediation of environmental pollutions using solar energy as the driving force would be important. During the past few decades, plenty of efforts have been focused on this area to develop solar light active materials to meet the increased energy and environmental crisis. Owning to the unique perovskite-type structure, tantalate-based semiconductors with unable chemical composition show high activities toward the conversion of solar radiation into chemical energy. Moreover, various engineering strategies, including crystal structure engineering, electronic structure engineering, surface/interface engineering, co-catalyst engineering and so on, have been developed in order to modulate the charge separation and transfer efficiency, optical absorption, band gap position and photochemical and photophysical stability, which would open a realm of new possibilities for exploring novel materials for solar energy applications

    DI-Net : Decomposed Implicit Garment Transfer Network for Digital Clothed 3D Human

    3D virtual try-on enjoys many potential applications and hence has attracted wide attention. However, it remains a challenging task that has not been adequately solved. Existing 2D virtual try-on methods cannot be directly extended to 3D since they lack the ability to perceive the depth of each pixel. Besides, 3D virtual try-on approaches are mostly built on the fixed topological structure and with heavy computation. To deal with these problems, we propose a Decomposed Implicit garment transfer network (DI-Net), which can effortlessly reconstruct a 3D human mesh with the newly try-on result and preserve the texture from an arbitrary perspective. Specifically, DI-Net consists of two modules: 1) A complementary warping module that warps the reference image to have the same pose as the source image through dense correspondence learning and sparse flow learning; 2) A geometry-aware decomposed transfer module that decomposes the garment transfer into image layout based transfer and texture based transfer, achieving surface and texture reconstruction by constructing pixel-aligned implicit functions. Experimental results show the effectiveness and superiority of our method in the 3D virtual try-on task, which can yield more high-quality results over other existing methods

    The Development of Biomimetic Spherical Hydroxyapatite/Polyamide 66 Biocomposites as Bone Repair Materials

    A novel biomedical material composed of spherical hydroxyapatite (s-HA) and polyamide 66 (PA) biocomposite (s-HA/PA) was prepared, and its composition, mechanical properties, and cytocompatibility were characterized and evaluated. The results showed that HA distributed uniformly in the s-HA/PA matrix. Strong molecule interactions and chemical bonds were presented between the s-HA and PA in the composites confirmed by IR and XRD. The composite had excellent compressive strength in the range between 95 and 132 MPa, close to that of natural bone. In vitro experiments showed the s-HA/PA composite could improve cell growth, proliferation, and differentiation. Therefore, the developed s-HA/PA composites in this study might be used for tissue engineering and bone repair

    Complexity measures and uncertainty relations of the high-dimensional harmonic and hydrogenic systems

    In this work we find that not only the Heisenberg-like uncertainty products and the R\'enyi-entropy-based uncertainty sum have the same first-order values for all the quantum states of the DD-dimensional hydrogenic and oscillator-like systems, respectively, in the pseudoclassical (D→∞D \to \infty) limit but a similar phenomenon also happens for both the Fisher-information-based uncertainty product and the Shannon-entropy-based uncertainty sum, as well as for the Cr\'amer-Rao and Fisher-Shannon complexities. Moreover, we show that the LMC (L\'opez-Ruiz-Mancini-Calvet) and LMC-R\'enyi complexity measures capture the hydrogenic-harmonic difference in the high dimensional limit already at first order

    Diurnal Variations in Neural Activity of Healthy Human Brain Decoded with Resting-State Blood Oxygen Level Dependent fMRI

    It remains an ongoing investigation about how the neural activity alters with the diurnal rhythms in human brain. Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (RS-fMRI) reflects spontaneous activities and/or the endogenous neurophysiological process of the human brain. In the present study, we applied the ReHo (regional homogeneity) and ALFF (amplitude of low frequency fluctuation) based on RS-fMRI to explore the regional differences in the spontaneous cerebral activities throughout the entire brain between the morning and evening sessions within a 24-h time cycle. Wide spread brain areas were found to exhibit diurnal variations, which may be attributed to the internal molecular systems regulated by clock genes, and the environmental factors including light-dark cycle, daily activities and homeostatic sleep drive.     How Social Support Motivates Trust and Purchase Intentions in Mobile Social Commerce

    Purpose – This study refers to the social support and trust theories to explore what kind of factors affect the users’ intention to adopt MSC. Design/methodology/approach – A total of 207 subjects who had previously experienced or known about MSC were identified and partial least squares were performed to analyse the measurement and structural models. Findings – The results indicated that MSC purchase intentions are affected significantly by four other factors (social support, perceived usefulness, subjective norm, and trust) and trust, in turn, is affected by three factors (social support, perceived usefulness, and subjective norms). Originality/value – First, this study examines the mechanism of trust formation and actions in the MSC context. Second, this study contributes by confirming the important role of social factors in the MSC context. Third, the study expands the social support theory. Finally, our research provides empirical evidence for enterprises that have adopted MSC to support their marketing strategy and programmes

    Dissatisfaction with Local Medical Services for Middle-Aged and Elderly in China: What Is Relevant?

    As violent clashes between doctors and patients in China intensify, patient dissatisfaction has been identified as a major concern in the current healthcare reform in China. This study aims to investigate the main determinants of dissatisfaction with local medical services attributable to middle-aged and elderly characteristics and identify areas for improvement. A total of 14,263 rural participants and 4898 urban participants were drawn from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study in 2018. Dissatisfaction was measured by two methods: binary outcome (1 = Dissatisfaction; 0 = No) demonstrated the risk of occurring dissatisfaction among various characteristics, and continuous outcome (ranges from score 1 to 5) showed the degree. The mean score of dissatisfaction was 2.73 ± 1.08. Sixteen percent of rural participants and 19% of urban participants reported dissatisfaction with local medical services, respectively. The multilevel analyses demonstrated that participants’ utilization of paid family doctor services decreased the risk of occurring dissatisfaction; dissatisfaction was less focused on females; having chronic diseases increased the risk of dissatisfaction. This study suggests promotion of family doctor services can effectively reduce middle-aged and elderly dissatisfaction with the local medical services. In addition, more attention should be focused on males and middle-aged and elderly with chronic diseases in order to decrease dissatisfaction
