    Fuzzy Filter Spectrum of a BCK Algebra

    The notion of fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded BCK-algebra is introduced. We discuss the relation between fuzzy s-prime filters and fuzzy prime filters. By the fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded commutative BCK-algebra X, we establish a fuzzy topological structure on X. We prove that the set of all fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded commutative BCK-algebra forms a topological space. Moreover, we show that the set of all fuzzy s-prime filters of a bounded implicative BCK-algebra is a Hausdorff space

    Boundary Proposal Network for Two-Stage Natural Language Video Localization

    We aim to address the problem of Natural Language Video Localization (NLVL)-localizing the video segment corresponding to a natural language description in a long and untrimmed video. State-of-the-art NLVL methods are almost in one-stage fashion, which can be typically grouped into two categories: 1) anchor-based approach: it first pre-defines a series of video segment candidates (e.g., by sliding window), and then does classification for each candidate; 2) anchor-free approach: it directly predicts the probabilities for each video frame as a boundary or intermediate frame inside the positive segment. However, both kinds of one-stage approaches have inherent drawbacks: the anchor-based approach is susceptible to the heuristic rules, further limiting the capability of handling videos with variant length. While the anchor-free approach fails to exploit the segment-level interaction thus achieving inferior results. In this paper, we propose a novel Boundary Proposal Network (BPNet), a universal two-stage framework that gets rid of the issues mentioned above. Specifically, in the first stage, BPNet utilizes an anchor-free model to generate a group of high-quality candidate video segments with their boundaries. In the second stage, a visual-language fusion layer is proposed to jointly model the multi-modal interaction between the candidate and the language query, followed by a matching score rating layer that outputs the alignment score for each candidate. We evaluate our BPNet on three challenging NLVL benchmarks (i.e., Charades-STA, TACoS and ActivityNet-Captions). Extensive experiments and ablative studies on these datasets demonstrate that the BPNet outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.Comment: AAAI 202

    Effect of PPARγ agonist (rosiglitazone) on the secretion of Th2 cytokine in asthma mice

    AbstractObjectiveTo explore the effect of PPARγ agonist (rosiglitazone) on the secretion of Th2 cytokines and the proportion of immune cell subsets in asthma mice.MethodsOvalbumin (OVA)-sensitized mice were used to build asthma models. Those mice were divided into the normal control group, model group and rosiglitazone group. Differences of the changes in lung histopathology of mice in the three groups were observed through hematoxylin and eosin (HE) strain, and the numbers of the total cells, eosinophils and neutrophils in BALF of mice in the three groups were compared. ELISA and real-time PCR were employed to detect the protein levels of interleukin (IL)-5, IL-13, IL-4 and IL-10 and mRNA level, respectively. Flow cytometry number was implied to analyze the proportion of immune cell subsets in peripheral blood of mice.ResultsCompared with the mice in the control group, and mice of the model group, the infiltration of inflammatory cells in BALF increased, bronchial smooth muscle became thickened, a large amount of collagen deposited, the secretion of Th2 cytokine increased significantly, the ratio of regulatory T cells (Treg) decreased, the ratio of T17 cells rose distinctly; while in mice of the rosiglitazone group, the changes of their lung histopathology were improved obviously, the number of infiltration of inflammatory cells declined, the thickened smooth muscle relieved, the deposition of collagen decreased, the secretion of Th2 cytokine was inhibited, the ratio of Treg went up, and the increased of the ratio of T17 cells was inhibited but still not return to normal level.ConclusionsRosiglitazone can regulate the proportion of Treg and Th17 cells and inhibit the secretion of Th2 cytokines, which inhibit the airway inflammatory response for asthma mice effectively

    Induction of mast cell accumulation, histamine release and skin edema by N49 phospholipase A2

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>It has been recognized that phospholipase A<sub>2 </sub>(PLA<sub>2</sub>) is a crucial component of snake venom, which contributes greatly to snake venom induced inflammation in man. However, the mechanisms through which N49 PLA<sub>2 </sub>provoke inflammation remain unclear. Recently, a N49 PLA<sub>2</sub>, TM-N49 from <it>Protobothrops mucrosquamatus </it>crude venom was characterized in our laboratory. Since the purification procedure developed is able to supply us with relatively large quantity of highly purified TM-N49, we investigated the ability of TM-N49 in induction of inflammation.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>The results showed that TM-N49 provoked a dose dependent increase in microvascular leakage in the skin of rats. The potency of TM-N49 in induction of skin edema appeared similar potency of bradykinin and histamine. Pretreatment of rats with compound 48/80 diminished TM-N49 induced skin reaction and reduced mast cell numbers in rats. Ginkgolide B and cyproheptadine, but not terfenadine and quinacrine, inhibited TM-N49 elicited microvascular leakage when they were co-injected with the stimulus to rat skin. Moreover, TM-N49 was found to induce histamine release from human colon, lung and tonsil mast cells, and both metabolic inhibitors and pertussis toxin were capable of inhibiting TM-N49 elicited histamine release. TM-N49 induced mast cell accumulation in the peritoneum of mice, which was inhibited by co-injection of ginkgolide B, cyproheptadine and terfenadine. Intravenous injection of monoclonal antibodies against CD18, ICAM-1 and CD11a also blocked TM-N49 induced mast cell accumulation.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>TM-N49 is a potent stimulus for skin edema, mast cell activation and accumulation.</p

    EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF TWO LARGE-SCALE MODELS’ SEAKEEPING PERFORMANCE IN COASTAL WAVES

    Actual sea waves and vessel motion are an unsteady nonlinear random process. The currently adopted test to simulate wave impact of vessel models in tank can\u27t fully reveal the impact of real sea waves on vessel swing motion. In this paper the buoy wave height meter is adopted to carry out measurements and analyses of the coastal wave environment. The correlation between the coastal wave spectra and the ocean wave spectra is analyzed. The test system is established for remote control and telemetry self-propelled vessel models suitable for the experiment conducted in the coastal areas. The seakeeping performance test is conducted for the same tonnage of round bilge vessel model and the deep-V hybrid monohull of large-scale vessel model under the coastal wave conditions. The experimental results are compared with the test results of small-scale vessel model in the towing tank. The experimental results show that the seakeeping performance of the deep-V hybrid monohull is improved by a wide margin in contrast to that of the round bilge model, and there is a marked difference between the motion characteristics of large-scale vessel models in the coastal wave environment and that of small-scale vessel models in tank

    EVALUATION OF WIND AND WAVE ENVIRONMENT ADAPTABILITY OF SHIPS

    The environment adaptability especially integrated sailing performance in rough sea of ships is very important. In this paper the evaluation index system and method of wind and wave environment adaptability were proposed. Then the relative importance of the given indices was analyzed, and the weighting coefficients of the indices were given by estimation matrixes. Besides this the evaluation equation was built. And the AHP method and the method based on fuzzy theory were used for evaluating the environment adaptability of a hybrid monohull and a round bilge monohull. Furthermore, the effect of different models and weighting coefficients given by different matrixes for evaluation results were analyzed. The research indicated that the choice of evaluating parameters had great influence on the evaluation results, and the weighting coefficients were the difficult point but critical point for environment adaptability evaluation of ships
