Intraday pattern in bid-ask spreads and its power-law relaxation for Chinese A-share stocks
We use high-frequency data of 1364 Chinese A-share stocks traded on the
Shanghai Stock Exchange and Shenzhen Stock Exchange to investigate the intraday
patterns in the bid-ask spreads. The daily periodicity in the spread time
series is confirmed by Lomb analysis and the intraday bid-ask spreads are found
to exhibit -shaped pattern with idiosyncratic fine structure. The intraday
spread of individual stocks relaxes as a power law within the first hour of the
continuous double auction from 9:30AM to 10:30AM with exponents
for the Shanghai market and
for the Shenzhen market. The power-law
relaxation exponent of individual stocks is roughly normally
distributed. There is evidence showing that the accumulation of information
widening the spread is an endogenous process.Comment: 12 Elsart pages including 7 eps figure
Purification and characterization of Aspergillus niger α-L-rhamnosidase for the biotransformation of naringin to prunin
This study was conducted to increase the bioactivity of litchi pericarp polysaccharides (LPPs) biotransformed by Aspergillus awamori. Comparedtothenon-A. awamori-fermented LPP, the growth effects of A. awamori-fermented LPP on Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus were four and two times higher after 3 days of fermentation, respectively. Increased 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity and DNA protection activity of litchi pericarp polysaccharides were also achieved after A. awamori fermentation. Moreover, the relative content of glucose and arabinose in LPP after fermentation decreased from 58.82% to 22.60% and from 18.82% to 10.09%, respectively, with a concomitant increase in the relative contents of galactose, rhamnose, xylose, and mannose. Furthermore, lower molecular weight polysaccharides were obtained after A. awamori fermentation. It can be concluded that A. awamori was effective in biotransforming LPP into a bioactive mixture with lower molecular weight polysaccharides and higher antioxidant activity and relative galactose content
Isopropyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate
In the title compound, C10H12O5, the dihedral angle between the benzene ring is almost coplanar with the attached C(O)—O—C group [dihedral angle = 0.32 (15)°]. In the crystal, two intermolecular O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds make R

A Random Forest and Current Fault Texture Feature–Based Method for Current Sensor Fault Diagnosis in Three-Phase PWM VSR
Three-phase PWM voltage-source rectifier (VSR) systems have been widely used in various energy conversion systems, where current sensors are the key component for state monitoring and system control. The current sensor faults may bring hidden danger or damage to the whole system; therefore, this paper proposed a random forest (RF) and current fault texture feature–based method for current sensor fault diagnosis in three-phase PWM VSR systems. First, the three-phase alternating currents (ACs) of the three-phase PWM VSR are collected to extract the current fault texture features, and no additional hardware sensors are needed to avoid causing additional unstable factors. Then, the current fault texture features are adopted to train the random forest current sensor fault detection and diagnosis (CSFDD) classifier, which is a data-driven CSFDD classifier. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation experiments. The result shows that the current sensor faults can be detected and located successfully and that it can effectively provide fault locations for maintenance personnel to keep the stable operation of the whole system
Tannase application in secondary enzymatic processing of inferior Tieguanyin oolong tea
Background: Inferior Tieguanyin oolong tea leaves were treated with
tannase. The content and bioactivity of catechins in extracts from the
treated tea leaves were investigated to assess the improvement in the
quality of inferior Tieguanyin oolong tea. Results: Analysis showed
that after treatment, the esterified catechin content decreased by
23.5%, whereas non-galloylated catechin and gallic acid contents
increased by 15.3% and 182%, respectively. The extracts from
tannase-treated tea leaves showed reduced ability to bind to BSA and
decreased tea cream levels. The extracts also exhibited increased
antioxidant ability to scavenge OH and DPPH radicals, increased ferric
reducing power, and decreased inhibitory effects on pancreatic
\u3b1-amylase and lipase activities. Conclusions: These results
suggested that tannase treatment could improve the quality of inferior
Tieguanyin oolong tea leaves
Efficient immobilization of agarase using carboxyl-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles as support
Background: A simple and efficient strategy for agarase immobilization
was developed with carboxyl-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles
(CMNPs) as support. The CMNPs and immobilized agarase (agarase-CMNPs)
were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, dynamic light
scattering, vibrating sample magnetometry, scanning electron
microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and
zeta-potential analysis. The hydrolyzed products were separated and
detected by ESI-TOF-MS. Results: The agarase-CMNPs exhibited a regular
spherical shape with a mean diameter of 12 nm, whereas their average
size in the aqueous solution was 43.7 nm as measured by dynamic light
scattering. These results indicated that agarase-CMNPs had water
swelling properties. Saturation magnetizations were 44 and 29 emu/g for
the carriers and agarase-CMNPs, respectively. Thus, the particles had
superparamagnetic characteristics, and agarase was successfully
immobilized onto the supports. Agaro-oligosaccharides were prepared
with agar as substrate using agarase-CMNPs as biocatalyst. The
catalytic activity of agarase-CMNPs was unchanged after six reuses. The
ESI-TOF mass spectrogram showed that the major products hydrolyzed by
agarase-CMNPs after six recycle uses were neoagarotetraose,
neoagarohexaose, and neoagarooctaose. Meanwhile, the end-products after
90 min of enzymatic treatment by agarase-CMNPs were neoagarobiose and
neoagarotetraose. Conclusions: The enhanced agarase properties upon
immobilization suggested that CMNPs can be effective carriers for
agarase immobilization. Agarase-CMNPs can be remarkably used in
developing systems for repeated batch production of agar-derived
oligosaccharides
