Gender and Occupational Mobility in Urban China during the Economic Transition

    Get PDF
This paper examines the gender patterns of occupational mobility in post-reform Urban China using a national representative dataset. The results reveal marked differences between married men and women: women are more likely than men to undergo lateral or downward occupational changes, but are less likely to experience upward mobility. The results also show that the public-sector restructuring has increased the incidence of downward occupational mobility, more for women than men. The analysis suggests that women are disadvantaged in the occupational mobility process by a variety of social and institutional factors.Occupational mobility, Gender, Economic transition, Social networks

Complementary relations of entanglement, coherence, steering and Bell nonlocality inequality violation in three-qubit states

We put forward complementary relations of entanglement, coherence, steering inequality violation, and Bell nonlocality for arbitrary three-qubit states. We show that two families of genuinely entangled three-qubit pure states with single parameter exist, and they exhibit maximum coherence and steering inequality violation for a fixed amount of negativity, respectively. It is found that the negativity is exactly equal to the geometric mean of bipartite concurrences for the three-qubit pure states, although the negativity is always less than or equal to the latter for three-qubit mixed states. Moreover, the complementary relation between negativity and first-order coherence for tripartite entanglement states are established. Furthermore, we investigate the close relation between the negativity and the maximum steering inequality violation. In addition, the complementary relation between negativity and the maximum Bell-inequality violation for arbitrary three-qubit states is obtained. The results provide reliable evidence of fundamental connections among entanglement, coherence, steering inequality violation, and Bell nonlocality.Comment: 11 pages, 5 figure

    Poly[diaqua(μ3-1H-benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxylato-κ4 N 3:O 5,O 6:O 6′)magnesium(II)]

In the title complex, [Mg(C9H4N2O4)(H2O)2]n, the MgII atom is six-coordinated by one N and three O atoms from three different 1H-benzimidazole-5,6-dicarboxylate ligands and two O atoms from two water molecules, forming a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The ligand links the MgII centres into a three-dimensional network. Extensive N—H⋯O and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds exist between the ligands and water molecules, stabilizing the crystal structure

Using Knowledge-based Information Systems to Support Management of Wireless Sensor Networking Systems

Currently, researches on Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) mainly focus on how to efficiently gather sensing data from WSN, but little attention has been paid to how to effectively manage the large amount of collected sensing data. Information Systems (IS) are appropriatetools for data input, storage, processing, and output. Knowledge Management (KM) further transforms useful information into domain knowledge for decision making by domain experts. In this paper, we propose an approach to management of sensing data and transformation of sensing data into valuable knowledge using knowledge-based information systems. Firstly we propose a frameworkfor knowledge-based information systems which deals with internal and external information using intelligent agents to generate domain knowledge with KM methods. Then we definite a model of knowledge-based information system for WSN to implement intensive sensing data storage, knowledge discovery, statistical analysis, sharing, inquiry, decision support. Finally, a prototype system is developed and tested for the aforementioned ideas

On Weak Exponential Expansiveness of Evolution Families in Banach Spaces

The aim of this paper is to give several characterizations for the property of weak exponential expansiveness for evolution families in Banach spaces. Variants for weak exponential expansiveness of some well-known results in stability theory (Datko (1973), Rolewicz (1986), Ichikawa (1984), and Megan et al. (2003)) are obtained

In the title mononuclear complex, [Co(C8H7O2)2(C7H6N2)2], the CoII atom is coordinated by four carboxylate O atoms from two 4-methylbenzoate ligands and two N atoms from two benzimidazole ligands in an octahedral coordination geometry. The molecules are assembled via intermolecular N—H⋯O hydrogen-bonding interactions into a three-dimensional network
