Cicurina japonica (Araneae: Dictynidae) - eine nach Mitteleuropa eingeschleppte Kräuselspinnenart

This paper presents the first two European records for the dictynid species Cicurina japonica (Simon, 1886), originally distributed in East Asia. The many specimens caught in the former freight railway station of the "Deutsche Bundesbahnen" (DB) in Basle allow us to present some ideas about the ecology of the species.Die ersten beiden Nachweise der ursprünglich ostasiatisch verbreiteten Kräuselspinnen-Art Cicurina japonica (Simon, 1886) für Europa werden vorgestellt. Kürzlich ist ein weiterer Band der Reihe „Beiträge zur Araneologie“ veröffentlicht worden, der sechste. Der erste Band dieser Reihe ist vor zwanzig Jahren erschienen; er behandelte die Spinnen der Makaronesischen Inseln. Der Titel des neuen Bandes ist mit dem letzten Band – Fossil and extant spiders – nahezu identisch. Der neue Band enthält 23 Teile. Diese sind sehr unterschiedlich hinsichtlich ihres Umfangs und ihres Inhalts. 18 davon sind wissenschaftliche Arbeiten, Jörg Wunderlich ist Autor von 17 Beiträgen, einer wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit Christa Deeleman-Reinhold erstellt. Die übrigen 5 Teile sind in gewisser Weise technischer Art: (1) Einleitung, Methode, Danksagung, Material betreffend den gesamten Band; (2) Berichtigungen zu Band 5; (3) Liste supragenerischer Taxa von Band 6; (4) Liste der Bücher des Joerg-Wunderlich-Verlags und (5) die Farbfotos. Moebelia berolinensis comb. nov., a rarely collected bark dwelling spider species in Central Europe (Araneae: Linyphiidae: Erigoninae)

The genus Araeoncoides Wunderlich, 1969, containing a single species A. berolinensis Wunderlich, 1969, is revised and transferred to the genus Moebelia Dahl, 1886 (nov. syn.). The female is described for the first time. All six known records are reported. Distribution, habitat and phenology are discussed. Until now, records are known exclusively from Germany

Enoplognatha serratosignata (L. KOCH 1879) (Theridiidae) and Cheiracanthium gratum KULCZYNSKI 1897 (Clubionidae) are recorded for Germany for the first time

C. gratum is not regarded as a synonym of C. angulitarse SIMON 1876, and is revalidated. Both sexes are described, the female is described for the first time.Bei Untersuchungen der Spinnenzönosen von Binnendünen im norddeutschen Tiefland (MERKENS in Vorb.) wurden an zwei Lokalitäten am Talrand der Elbaue Enoplognatha serratosignata, auf einer Binnendüne an der Oder Cheiracanthium gratum erstmalig in Deutschland nachgewiesen. Bisher war E. serratosignata aus Ungarn, China, Sibirien und der Schweiz bekannt (BOSMANS & VAN KEER 1999), Männchen von C. gratum sind in Ungarn gefunden worden (CHYZER & KULCZYNSKI 1897)

The Arthropoda fauna of Corvo island (Azores): new records and updated list of species

Con la inclusión de la literatura disponible, se citan 175 especies y subespecies (11.43% son comunes a las otras islas de las Azores), repartidas per 16 órdenes y 83 familias, de las que 32 son nuevas citas para la isla de Corvo. Phaneroptera nana Fieber (Orthoptera: Tettigonidae) se cita por primera vez para las Azores.ABSTRACT: The arthropod fauna (phylum Arthropoda) from the island of Corvo, Azores archipelago, was surveyed during four sampling days (26 July 1999; 11-13 September 2002). In the present contribution 32 species and subspecies of arthropods are listed as new records. Phaneroptera nana Fieber (Orthoptera: Tettigonidae) is also new to Azores. The preliminary checklist for Corvo island includes a total of 175 species and subspecies (11.43% are common endemics to the Azores), belonging to 16 orders and 83 families

Calicioid lichens and fungi in amber : Tracing extant lineages back to the Paleogene

Calicioid lichens and fungi are a polyphyletic grouping of tiny ascomycetes that accumulate a persistent spore mass (mazaedium) on top of their usually well-stalked ascomata ('mazaediate fungi'). In addition to extant forms, six fossils of the group were previously known from European Paleogene amber. Here we report nine new fossils and analyze the preserved features of all fossils to assess their applicability for dating molecular phylogenies. Many fossils are extremely well preserved, allowing detailed comparisons with modern taxa. SEM investigation reveals that even fine details of ascospore wall ultrastructure correspond to those seen in extant specimens. All fossils can confidently be assigned to modern genera: three to Calicium (Caliciaceae, Lecanoromycetes), five to Chaenotheca (Coniocybaceae, Coniocybomycetes), six to Chaenothecopsis (Mycocaliciaceae, Eurotiales), and one to Phaeocalicium (Mycocaliciaceae, Eurotiales). Several Calicium and Chaenotheca fossils are assignable to specific lineages within their genera, while the Chaenothecopsis fossils demonstrate the extent of intraspecific variation within one such lineage. Some features in the morphology of Chaenotheca succina nov. sp. seem to be ancestral as they have not been reported from modern species of the genus. (C) 2018 Elsevier Masson SAS.
