The Overseeing Mother: Revisiting the Frontal-Pose Lady in the Wu Family Shrines in Second Century China
Located in present-day Jiaxiang in Shandong province, the Wu family shrines built during the second century in the Eastern Han dynasty (25–220) were among the best-known works in Chinese art history. Although for centuries scholars have exhaustively studied the pictorial programs, the frontal-pose female image situated on the second floor of the central pavilion carved at the rear wall of the shrines has remained a question. Beginning with the woman’s eyes, this article demonstrates that the image is more than a generic portrait (“hard motif ”), but rather represents “feminine overseeing from above” (“soft motif ”). This synthetic motif combines three different earlier motifs – the frontal-pose hostess enjoying entertainment, the elevated spectator, and the Queen Mother of the West. By creatively fusing the three motifs into one unity, the Jiaxiang artists lent to the frontal-pose lady a unique power: she not only dominated the center of the composition, but also, like a divine being, commanded a unified view of the surroundings on the lofty building, hence echoing the political reality of the empress mother’s “overseeing the court” in the second century during Eastern Han dynasty
On the Higher Power Sums of Reciprocal Higher-Order Sequences
Let {un} be a higher-order linear recursive sequence. In this paper, we use the properties of error estimation and the analytic method to study the reciprocal sums of higher power of higher-order sequences. Then we establish several new and interesting identities relating to the infinite and finite sums
Data-driven innovation in university library management and service models
With the rapid development of the data and information age, the digital-driven library has become an inevitable trend of library development. In this paper, through the Apriori association rule algorithm, the digital-driven library model for the influence factors of information mining, combined with data mining influence factor information to build a data-driven library management system, through the data library lending system optimization and book scheduling optimization to optimize and improve the overall optimization. Finally, it is verified through empirical analysis of association rule analysis and the scheduling effects of data-driven libraries. Through empirical analysis, it can be seen that the staff management efficiency of the management system lending system, and library circulation scheduling enhancement degree are 5.103 and 6.103, both greater than 1. The length of the reader queue and the percentage of reader loss of the data-driven library are between 5~15 and 0%~17%, respectively, and the efficiency of the data-driven library is superior to that of traditional libraries. Combined with the above, this paper based on the data-driven university library management service model can effectively solve the book scheduling problem, improve the management and service efficiency, so that readers have a better experience, and provide a guarantee for the innovative development path of the data-driven library management service model
The relationship between quantitative epicardial adipose tissue based on CT and coronary artery disease: A protocol for systematic review and meta-analysis
Background: Epicardial adipose tissue (EAT) is a kind of visceral adipose tissue with close proximity to coronary artery and myocardium, which can secrete cell factor, and influence the physiological function and pathophysiological process of myocardium and coronary artery. Clinical imaging diagnosis showed that the volume and thickness of epicardial adipose tissue exists a certain relevance with coronary artery disease, but it lacked evidence of evidence based medicine. The research on the implementation of this program will systematically evaluate the relationship of CT quantitative epicardial adipose tissue and coronary artery disease.
Method: The English databases (Embase, PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science) and Chinese database (CNKI, Wanfang, China biomedical database, VIP) of computer retrieval has collected the case control clinical study of relationship between epicardial adipose tissue and coronary artery disease from the establishment of the database to October 2020, which was conducted extraction and quality evaluation by two researchers independently for data included in the study, and was conducted Meta analysis for the included literature by adopting RevMan5.3 software.
Result: The research evaluated the correlation between epicardial adipose tissue and coronary artery disease through the epicardial adipose tissue thickness, epicardial adipose tissue volume and other indexes.
Conclusion: The research has provided reliable evidence-based evidence for the correlation between CT epicardial adipose tissue quantification and coronary artery disease
Knowledge Creation Process and Sustainable Competitive Advantage: the Role of Technological Innovation Capabilities
This study examines the relationship between the knowledge creation process and technological innovation capabilities, and analyzes their effect on a firm’s sustainable competitive advantage using a knowledge-based view theoretical framework. We conduct structural equation modeling analyses using survey data from 315 Chinese industrial firms to test the direct and indirect effects of the knowledge creation process on sustainable competitive advantage. Technological innovation capabilities—operationalized to reflect the dimensions of process innovation capability and product innovation capability—are used as the mediating variable for explaining the relationship between the knowledge creation process and sustainable competitive advantage. The results indicate that the knowledge creation process does not have a significant direct effect on sustainable competitive advantage. Rather, the knowledge creation process can only influence the sustainable competitive advantage through the mediating effect of technological innovation capabilities completely. Consequently, the knowledge creation process favors the development of technological innovation capabilities for processes and products, because processes and products can lead to a sustainable competitive advantage
