Research on 2×2 MIMO Channel with Truncated Laplacian Azimuth Power Spectrum
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) Rayleigh fading channel with truncated Laplacian azimuth power spectrum (APS) is studied. By using the power correlation matrix of MIMO channel model and the modified Jakes simulator, into which with random phases are inserted, the effect of the azimuth spread (AS), angle of departure (AOD) and angle of arrival (AOA) on the spatial correlation coefficient and channel capacity are investigated. Numerical results show that larger AS generates smaller spatial correlation coefficient amplitude, while larger average AOD or AOA produces larger spatial correlation coefficient amplitude. The average capacity variation is comprehensively dominated by the average AOD, AOA and AS
On the duality relation for correlation functions of the Potts model
We prove a recent conjecture on the duality relation for correlation
functions of the Potts model for boundary spins of a planar lattice.
Specifically, we deduce the explicit expression for the duality of the n-site
correlation functions, and establish sum rule identities in the form of the
M\"obius inversion of a partially ordered set. The strategy of the proof is by
first formulating the problem for the more general chiral Potts model. The
extension of our consideration to the many-component Potts models is also
given.Comment: 17 pages in RevTex, 5 figures, submitted to J. Phys.
SNE: Signed Network Embedding
Several network embedding models have been developed for unsigned networks.
However, these models based on skip-gram cannot be applied to signed networks
because they can only deal with one type of link. In this paper, we present our
signed network embedding model called SNE. Our SNE adopts the log-bilinear
model, uses node representations of all nodes along a given path, and further
incorporates two signed-type vectors to capture the positive or negative
relationship of each edge along the path. We conduct two experiments, node
classification and link prediction, on both directed and undirected signed
networks and compare with four baselines including a matrix factorization
method and three state-of-the-art unsigned network embedding models. The
experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our signed network
embedding.Comment: To appear in PAKDD 201
Weak-Light, Zero to -\pi Lossless Kerr-Phase Gate in Quantum-well System via Tunneling Interference Effect
We examine a Kerr phase gate in a semiconductor quantum well structure based
on the tunnelling interference effect. We show that there exist a specific
signal field detuning, at which the absorption/amplification of the probe field
will be eliminated with the increase of the tunnelling interference.
Simultaneously, the probe field will acquire a -\pi phase shift at the exit of
the medium. We demonstrate with numerical simulations that a complete 180^\circ
phase rotation for the probe field at the exit of the medium is achieved, which
may result in many applications in information science and telecommunication
Combinatorial interpretation of Haldane-Wu fractional exclusion statistics
Assuming that the maximal allowed number of identical particles in state is
an integer parameter, q, we derive the statistical weight and analyze the
associated equation which defines the statistical distribution. The derived
distribution covers Fermi-Dirac and Bose-Einstein ones in the particular cases
q = 1 and q -> infinity (n_i/q -> 1), respectively. We show that the derived
statistical weight provides a natural combinatorial interpretation of
Haldane-Wu fractional exclusion statistics, and present exact solutions of the
distribution equation.Comment: 8 pages, 2 eps-figure
