Testing Hypothesis of Customer Satisfaction Factors by Statistical Method

    Get PDF
This paper is a part of evaluation and development of customer satisfaction factors for the Peter Stott Center Gymnasium research paper written by a group of graduate student in summer 2001. The purpose of this paper is analysis the information after developed hypotheses, (7 hypotheses), and collected the data. We use the statistic method (Regression Analysis Method and Microsoft Excel 2000 software) for testing and figuring out which hypotheses or factors are significant and relate with customer satisfaction. Some of data in this paper are referred to the evaluation and development of customer satisfaction factors for the Peter Stott Center research paper. Therefore, this paper do not mention on how to develop questionnaires and compare with literature review. For the results, after we analyzed the data from questionnaires, we found that at 90% confident level ( a=O. l 0) sport equipment, facility scheduling, and information providing factor are influence on customer satisfaction. At 95% confident level (a=0.05), sport equipment and facility scheduling are effect on customer satisfaction. Also, we try to figure out the relationship between the personal information (Gender, Age, Status and Locker owner) and customer satisfaction. From regression analysis, we found that personal information such as gender, age, status, and locker owner are not impact or influence to the customer satisfaction of the users

Insomnia is a common problem among the elders and it directly affects their health. The mattress is one factors influencing sleeping efficiency. The developed pressure at the sleeping surface during sleeping will to cause body discomfort, leading to sleep problem. The developed pressure depends on the density of bedding materials and body mass. The present research aims to study the effects of the mattress density and body mass on the elderly sleep efficiency. The sleep data was collected from 6 volunteers: 3 male and 3 female at the age group of 60 – 79 years. The experiment was done on mattresses with densities of 24.6 and 60 kg/m3 and 4-inch thickness. The volunteers randomly slept on each mattress for three nights. Sleep data was recorded by sleep tracker (Jawbone up24), calibrated with Polysomnography. The study revealed that sleep efficiency on the 60 kg/m3 density mattress was more than 90 percent while those on the 24.6 kg/m3 density mattress were in the range of 78-84 percent. Moreover, sleep efficiency of the volunteers with the body mass index of 22.22 - 23.74 kg/cm2 was significantly different from those of volunteers with the body mass index of 24.61-24.92 kg/cm2 when they slept on the 24.6 kg/m3 density mattress. Additionally, the pressure test revealed that a pressure at shoulder may affect sleep efficiency

Molecular Diversification and Phylogeny of Mangifera (Anacardiaceae) in Indonesia and Thailand

Phylogenetic relationships among 19  Mangifera L. species of Indonesia and Thailand were analyzed by comparing sequences of maturase-K gene of chloroplast genome. Phylogenetic analysis using parsimony method revealed that the gene could clasify Mangifera into three major groups. Although this classification system is different with the previous system, it can provide a new information about Mangifera taxonomy. Results further exhibited that DNA sequences of the matK of two Mangifera species (M. laurina dan M. macrocarpa) are different between Indonesia and Thailand specimens

Promotes Positive Knowledge, Skills, Attitudinal, Fitness, and Desirable Behavioral Changes in Pre-Service Physical Education Teachers

Alternative assessment is a nontraditional, holistic way to assess students. It is beneficial, in physical education training, for the instructor to apply a variety of appropriate assessment tools. The purpose of this research was to study pre-service physical education teachers’ perception of skills, attitude, knowledge, fitness, and other desirable characteristics by using swimming logs (SL) as assessment tools. Participants were 19 males and 11 females (mean age =18.07), all of whom were pre-service physical education teachers at Kasetsart University. Participants recorded their swimming distances outside of class for 6 weeks, with a goal of 1,500 meters. After 6 weeks they provided learning, behavioral and attitudinal self-perceptions via a reflection form. Quantitative data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, while qualitative data were analyzed via content analysis. The qualitative findings identified five pertinent domains of physical education instruction. The results suggest the potential of SL as an alternative assessment that can positively enhance learners’ selfconcept, motivation, and skill development

Although originally related to literature, Helen of Troy transits between all the arts. From painting to cinema, music, theatre and, of course, poetry, the transcendental nature of the Homeric character confirms her complexity and the fascination she produces in the general public, whether reader or spectator. The questions about her ambiguous attitudes still cause endless discussions nowadays, which have made Helen one of the most emblematic figures of Western culture. However, the romantic approach to the relationship between the Spartan queen and the Trojan prince is the most common bias reproduced by the American film industry: passionate woman, loyal to her feelings and thread of a plot full of passionate elements culminating in the transcendental and mythological Trojan War

The use of mean platelet volume for distinguishing the causes of thrombocytopenia in adult patients

    Get PDF
Establishment and analysis of mean platelet volume (MPV) may be helpful in the discrimination between underproduction or over-destruction of platelets as the causes of thrombocytopenia. The primary objective is to find the cut-off point of MPV for distinguishing causes of thrombocytopenia. The secondary objective is to validate the cut-off value of the MPV by using bone marrow examination. Thrombocytopenic patients were enrolled in a training set and a receiving operating characteristics (ROC) curve was plotted to obtain the cut-off value of MPV. A validation set of patients was recruited to validate the cut-off value. The training set included 240 patients. Half with with underproductive (n=120) and half with over-destructive thrombocytopenia (n=120). The best cut-off value of MPV was 8.8 fL. The validation set included 119 patients in total, again in 2 groups, those with underproductive (n=84) and those with overdestructive thrombocytopenia (n=35). The sensitivity, specificity, PPV and NPV when MPV â‰Ĩ8.8 fL indicating over-destructive thrombocytopenia were 77%, 89%, 89% and 77%, respectively. MPV is useful for differentiating the cause of thrombocytopenia. The value of MPV â‰Ĩ8.8 fL has acceptable sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of over-destructive thrombocytopenia
