Abstract.Laundryservice shop customers are presently confronted with several service options, qualities, and features. This is due to the inconsistent operational management of these organizations, in delivering maximum satisfaction. These problems often lead to the unsatisfactory level of customers, as they begin to search for better laundry service alternatives, which consumes much time and effort. The studies on laundry service shopbusinesses have also been widely carried out, as they are found to only focus on the ease of management due to delivery to one shop, which is equipped with features of comfortable services and payments. However, it has not been able to handle the demand of customers and various items, which needs to be sent to different laundry shops. Based on these studies, the laundry business concept should be developed to improve service qualities, with customers having the option to distribute their laundry items to desired laundry service shops, through the placement of one order. According to the development of this system, a sequential simplification from multi to single orders was observed, as the marketplace concept was also used. Furthermore, the manager handled and simplified the multi-order process, which was carried out by distributing orders to several shops, arranging the pick-up and delivery procedures, as well as receiving and transferring payments to all laundry services. The result showed a comparison between the mobile-based laundry businessand traditional systems, respectively. This new system result is saving more time and shipping costs, as it handled simple to complex laundry needs with a single click on the application, compared to the old traditional laundry business that involved multi orders. It concludes that this marketplace based application new system is saving more time and cost. Because of that, the customer satisfaction on laundry business impacted to be improving also

This study aims to identify and characterize receptor binding sites (RBS) and antigenic sites (HVR-I and II) of the S1 gene fragment of the infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) isolated and propagated from commercial chickens in Java Region to monitor recent circulating virus. The samples in this study were the organs which indicated infectious bronchitis infection. The stages of this research consisted of making virus suspensions, isolation, and propagation, as well as molecular detection and characterization of viruses. Virus isolation and propagation were carried out on chicken embryonated eggs aged 11 days via the allantoic route. Culture confirmation was performed by RT-PCR of the S1 gene fragment, followed by sequencing and bioinformatics analysis. The 168-hour propagation was observed in both dwarfed and curled embryos of two isolates from 11 isolates detected as IBV-positive. Phylogenetic tree construction resulted in all isolates being grouped as GI-19 genotype (QX-like). Amino acid identity among QX-like strains was calculated at 87–100%. A total of 210 predicted amino acid residues were observed, including 31 substitutions and 2 deletions. Conclusions of this study were identified and characterized as GI-19 genotype (QX-like) IBV with amino acid changes on S1 fragment from breeder, broiler, and layer chickens in Java Region

Numerical experiments demonstrate that the neural-based method is accurate and well-suited for fitting large volume of data. IEE

Quantitative Spectral Data Analysis Using Extreme Learning Machines Algorithm Incorporated with PCA

    No full text
Extreme learning machine (ELM) is a popular randomization-based learning algorithm that provides a fast solution for many regression and classification problems. In this article, we present a method based on ELM for solving the spectral data analysis problem, which essentially is a class of inverse problems. It requires determining the structural parameters of a physical sample from the given spectroscopic curves. We proposed that the unknown target inverse function is approximated by an ELM through adding a linear neuron to correct the localized effect aroused by Gaussian basis functions. Unlike the conventional methods involving intensive numerical computations, under the new conceptual framework, the task of performing spectral data analysis becomes a learning task from data. As spectral data are typical high-dimensional data, the dimensionality reduction technique of principal component analysis (PCA) is applied to reduce the dimension of the dataset to ensure convergence. The proposed conceptual framework is illustrated using a set of simulated Rutherford backscattering spectra. The results have shown the proposed method can achieve prediction inaccuracies of less than 1%, which outperform the predictions from the multi-layer perceptron and numerical-based techniques. The presented method could be implemented as application software for real-time spectral data analysis by integrating it into a spectroscopic data collection system

Work-in-progress - Embedding cross-cultural humorous and empathetic functions to facilitate language acquisition

    No full text
Despite the growing attention paid to conversational chatbots, there is a lack of research in either offering culturally related empathetic strategies when English as additional language learners encounter emotional discomfort or simulating a sense of humour in language acquisition. This paper aims to propose a multivariate normal distribution model for cross-cultural class, BERT for humour detection and response, and NRC VAD to compute empathetic intensity values. The novel algorithm will contribute to significant and long-term outcomes of language learners when exposed to new cultural, cognitive and psychological experiences
