Exploring Digital Nudging on Customer Emotions and Attitudes: Implications for Socially Responsible Consumption Behavior in the Cosmetics Field

Get PDF
Trending in online shopping, businesses frequently employ digital nudging to stimulate consumer purchases. These mechanisms include monetary incentives, such as providing discount information; messenger effect, harnessing the power of opinion leaders to guide consumer purchasing decisions. However, past research has predominantly focused on whether consumer behavior changes, while omitting the emotional and attitudinal factors that drive these changes. In today\u27s society, there is a strong focus on appearance, leading to the widespread use of beauty products. Regrettably, these products pose a certain environmental threat, sparking concerns about social responsibility. Therefore, this study is grounded in social contagion theory and aims to investigate the positive or negative emotions and attitudes that consumers may develop under the influence of digital nudging. Additionally, we will explore how these emotions and attitudes affect subsequent socially responsible consumer behavior. We plan to combine quantitative and qualitative research methods to gain a deeper understanding of the fundamental reasons shaping consumer behavior, which may be related to product characteristics or marketing strategies. This research will aid future businesses in making more informed choices when crafting marketing plans

Decay Constants of Pseudoscalar DD-mesons in Lattice QCD with Domain-Wall Fermion

Get PDF
We present the first study of the masses and decay constants of the pseudoscalar D D mesons in two flavors lattice QCD with domain-wall fermion. The gauge ensembles are generated on the 243×4824^3 \times 48 lattice with the extent Ns=16 N_s = 16 in the fifth dimension, and the plaquette gauge action at β=6.10 \beta = 6.10 , for three sea-quark masses with corresponding pion masses in the range 260−475260-475 MeV. We compute the point-to-point quark propagators, and measure the time-correlation functions of the pseudoscalar and vector mesons. The inverse lattice spacing is determined by the Wilson flow, while the strange and the charm quark masses by the masses of the vector mesons ϕ(1020) \phi(1020) and J/ψ(3097) J/\psi(3097) respectively. Using heavy meson chiral perturbation theory (HMChPT) to extrapolate to the physical pion mass, we obtain fD=202.3(2.2)(2.6) f_D = 202.3(2.2)(2.6) MeV and fDs=258.7(1.1)(2.9) f_{D_s} = 258.7(1.1)(2.9) MeV.Comment: 15 pages, 3 figures. v2: the statistics of ensemble (A) with m_sea = 0.005 has been increased, more details on the systematic error, to appear in Phys. Lett.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OVER-ARM THROWING PATTERN AND THROWING PERFORMANCE

Throwing is a common movement among the upper extremities activities. This study examined the relationship between throwing patterns and throwing distance. Eighty-five age 21 years old students (m =29, F =56)voluntarily participated in the study. Each subject threw a tennis ball as hard as they could straightforward for three trials. A video camera at subjects' right hand side was used to record the subjects' motion. The Burton's (1992) amendment of DSOT table was used to quantify the throwing patterns. Data collected was examined by Pearson correlation(p < .05). The results were as follows: 1. the trunk rotation was found to associated with throwing distance for the male SUbject, 2. the backswing and trunk rotation were associated with throwing distance for the female SUbject

Stationary Light Pulses in Cold Atomic Media

Stationary light pulses (SLPs), i.e., light pulses without motion, are formed via the retrieval of stored probe pulses with two counter-propagating coupling fields. We show that there exist non-negligible hybrid Raman excitations in media of cold atoms that prohibit the SLP formation. We experimentally demonstrate a method to suppress these Raman excitations and realize SLPs in laser-cooled atoms. Our work opens the way to SLP studies in cold as well as in stationary atoms and provides a new avenue to low-light-level nonlinear optics.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figure

The Evaluation And Using Intention For Digital Teaching Materials Of Penghu Basalt

The Bureau of Culture of Penghu County produced the Penghu Basalt Digital Teaching Materials, which are supplementary teaching materials for local curriculums in elementary and middle schools in Penghu County. But just what are the teachers’ and students’ opinions of the said teaching materials? Are they willing to use them? Are they suitable? These questions are, indeed, worth further research. The questionnaire survey was conducted to gather the opinions of 142 teachers and 151 students of elementary and middle schools in Penghu County. In addition, using the quasi-experimental and experimental teaching methods, after comparing the pre-test and post-test results to the control group, the learning effectiveness was determined. The results indicate that teachers and students have the highest evaluation for the interface design aspect of this teaching material. The teachers’ evaluation for the teaching materials is significantly higher than the students’. Furthermore, the teaching materials are evaluated highly in terms of attracting attention, generating interest and willingness to use, indicating that the digital teaching materials have potential for promotion in Penghu. After the experimental teaching, only the vocational high school students’ scores before and after the experiment showed significantly improvement, while the scores of the students in the other levels of schools did not. &nbsp

The Trajectory Analysis of Bevel Planetary Gear Trains

Introduction In the theory of Kinematics of Mechanisms, trajectories generated by planetary gear trains form an important family of curves, known as Epitrochoids or Hypotrochoids, depending on whether the gearing is external or internal In this paper, the geometry of trajectories generated by a tracer point on the planet of bevel planetary gear trains is studied. This study serves as a precursor to the workspace analysis of a new class of gear-coupled, three DOF (Degrees Of Freedom), four-jointed wrist mechanisms. Before further discussion, it is helpful to review briefly the trajectories generated by a spur planetary gear train because of the analogy between them
