Controllable Goos-H\"{a}nchen shifts and spin beam splitter for ballistic electrons in a parabolic quantum well under a uniform magnetic field

The quantum Goos-H\"{a}nchen shift for ballistic electrons is investigated in a parabolic potential well under a uniform vertical magnetic field. It is found that the Goos-H\"{a}nchen shift can be negative as well as positive, and becomes zero at transmission resonances. The beam shift depends not only on the incident energy and incidence angle, but also on the magnetic field and Landau quantum number. Based on these phenomena, we propose an alternative way to realize the spin beam splitter in the proposed spintronic device, which can completely separate spin-up and spin-down electron beams by negative and positive Goos-H\"{a}nchen shifts.Comment: 6 pages, 6 figure

Transmission of doughnut light through a bull's eye structure

We experimentally investigate the extraordinary optical transmission of doughnut light through a bull's eye structure. Since the intensity is vanished in the center of the beam, almost all the energy reaches the circular corrugations (not on the hole), excite surface plasmons which propagate through the hole and reradiate photons. The transmitted energy is about 57 times of the input energy on the hole area. It is also interesting that the transmitted light has a similar spatial shape with the input light although the diameter of the hole is much smaller than the wavelength of light.Comment: 3 pages,4 figure

Optimal measurements to access classical correlations of two-qubit states

We analyze the optimal measurements accessing classical correlations in arbitrary two-qubit states. Two-qubit states can be transformed into the canonical forms via local unitary operations. For the canonical forms, we investigate the probability distribution of the optimal measurements. The probability distribution of the optimal measurement is found to be centralized in the vicinity of a specific von Neumann measurement, which we call the maximal-correlation-direction measurement (MCDM). We prove that for the states with zero-discord and maximally mixed marginals, the MCDM is the very optimal measurement. Furthermore, we give an upper bound of quantum discord based on the MCDM, and investigate its performance for approximating the quantum discord.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, version accepted by Phys. In the complex anion of the title compound, (C5H14N2)[SbCl4]Cl, the Sb atom is tetracoordinate within a saw-horse configuration. The cation adopts a chair conformation. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular N—H⋯Cl hydrogen bonds

The Effects of Transformational Leadership on Employee’s Pro-social Rule Breaking

The construct of pro-social rule breaking occupies an important, but largely neglected position within exi-sting frameworks of organizational deviance Pro-social rule breaking (PSRB) is a form of constructive de-viance characterized by volitional rule breaking in the interest of the organization or its stakeholders.Usi-ng survey data collected from 252 employees in different organizations in China, the researchers empirically examines the relationship between transformational leadership and employee’s pro-social rule breaking and the mediating role of job autonomy. Results indicate that transformational leadership is positively rel-ated to pro-social rule breaking, job autonomy fully mediates the relationships between transformational le-adership and employee’s pro-social rule breaking. Theoretical and practical implications are discussed. A set of future research directions are offered
