    Design of Wind Turbine Vibration Monitoring System

    In order to ensure safety of wind turbine operation and to reduce the occurrence of faults as well as to improve the reliability of wind turbine operation, a vibration monitoring for wind turbine is developed. In this paper, it analyses the enlargement of all the parts of the structure and the working mechanism, the research method of wind turbine operation vibration is introduced, with the focus being the use of the sensor principle. Finally the hardware design and software of this system is introduced and the main function of this system is described, which realizes condition monitoring of the work state of wind turbines

    Mechanism of tacrolimus in the treatment of lupus nephritis

    Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a complex autoimmune disorder, with more than half of the patients developing lupus nephritis (LN), which significantly contributes to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The treatment of lupus nephritis has always been challenging. Tacrolimus (TAC), an effective immunosuppressant, has been increasingly used in the treatment of LN in recent years. This review aims to explore the mechanisms of action of tacrolimus in treating LN. Firstly, we briefly introduce the pharmacological properties of tacrolimus, including its role as a calcineurin (CaN) inhibitor, exerting immunosuppressive effects by inhibiting T cell activation and cytokine production. Subsequently, we focus on various other immunomodulatory mechanisms of tacrolimus in LN therapy, including its effects on T cells, B cells, and immune cells in kidney. Particularly, we emphasize tacrolimus’ regulatory effect on inflammatory mediators and its importance in modulating the Th1/Th2 and Th17/Treg balance. Additionally, we review its effects on actin cytoskeleton, angiotensin II (Ang II)-specific vascular contraction, and P-glycoprotein activity, summarizing its impacts on non-immune mechanisms. Finally, we summarize the efficacy and safety of tacrolimus in clinical studies and trials. Although some studies have shown significant efficacy of tacrolimus in treating LN, its safety remains a challenge. We outline the potential adverse reactions of long-term tacrolimus use and provide suggestions on effectively monitoring and managing these adverse reactions in clinical practice. In general, tacrolimus, as a novel immunosuppressant, holds promising prospects for treating LN. Of course, further research is needed to better understand its therapeutic mechanisms and ensure its safety and efficacy in clinical practice

    Generation of a recombinant rabies Flury LEP virus carrying an additional G gene creates an improved seed virus for inactivated vaccine production

    The rabies Flury Low Egg Passage virus (LEP) has been widely used as a seed virus to generate inactive vaccine. Here, we established a reverse genetic system for LEP and generated a recombinant LEP virus (rLEP-G) that carries two identical G genes. This recombinant virus showed similar properties to those of LEP with respect to in vitro growth, neurotropism index, and virulence in mice. rLEP-G produced 4.3-fold more G protein than did LEP in BHK-21 cells. The inactivated vaccine generated from rLEP-G induced significantly higher virus neutralization titers in mice and dogs than those produced in response to LEP-derived vaccine. Our results suggest that rLEP-G is an improved seed virus candidate for inactivated rabies virus vaccine manufacture

    Understanding the effects of revegetated shrubs on fluxes of energy, water, and gross primary productivity in a desert steppe ecosystem using the STEMMUS-SCOPE model

    Revegetation is one of the most effective ways to combat desertification and soil erosion in semiarid and arid regions. However, the impact of the perturbation of revegetation on ecohydrological processes, particularly its effects on the interplay between hydrological processes and vegetation growth under water stress, requires further investigation. This study evaluated the effects of revegetation on the energy, water, and carbon fluxes in a desert steppe in Yanchi County, Ningxia Province, northwest China, by simulating two vegetated scenarios (shrub-grassland ecosystem and grassland ecosystem) using the STEMMUS-SCOPE (Simultaneous Transfer of Energy, Mass and Momentum in Unsaturated Soil-Soil Canopy Observation of Photosynthesis and Energy fluxes) model. The model was validated by field observations from May to September of 2016-2019. The evaluation of revegetation effects relied on comparing simulated fluxes between two vegetated scenarios in 2016 and 2019. In both scenarios, turbulent energy was dominated by latent heat flux, which was stronger in the shrub-grassland ecosystem (+7%). A higher leaf area index and root water uptake of C3 shrubs (Caragana intermedia) resulted in increased carbon fixation (+83%) and transpiration (+72%) of the shrub-grassland ecosystem compared to the C3 grassland ecosystem. Accompanied by a marked increase in root water uptake (+123%), revegetation intensified water consumption beyond the levels of received precipitation. These results highlight the critical importance of considering both energy and water budgets in water-limited ecosystems during ecological restoration to avert soil water depletion.</p

    Factors Influencing Appropriate Firing of the Implanted Defibrillator for Ventricular Tachycardia/Fibrillation Findings From the Multicenter Automatic Defibrillator Implantation Trial II (MADIT-II)

    ObjectivesThe purpose of this study was to prospectively examine the role of clinical, laboratory, echocardiographic, and electrophysiological variables as predictors of appropriate initial implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) therapy for ventricular tachycardia (VT) or ventricular fibrillation (VF) or death in the Multicenter Automatic Defibrillator Implantation Trial II (MADIT-II) population.BackgroundThere is limited information regarding the determinants of appropriate ICD therapy in patients with reduced ventricular function after a myocardial infarction.MethodsWe used secondary analysis in one arm of a multicenter randomized clinical trial in patients with a previous myocardial infarction and reduced left ventricular function.ResultsWe analyzed baseline and follow-up data on 719 patients enrolled in the ICD arm of the MADIT-II study. Appropriate ICD therapy was observed in 169 subjects. Clinical, laboratory, echocardiographic, and electrophysiological variables, along with measures of clinical instability such as interim hospitalization for congestive heart failure (IH-CHF) and interim hospitalization for coronary events (IH-CE), were examined with proportional hazards models and Kaplan-Meier time-to-event curves before and after first interim hospitalization. Interim hospitalization-CHF, IH-CE, no beta-blockers, digitalis use, blood urea nitrogen (BUN) >25, body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m2, and New York Heart Association functional class >II were associated with increased risk for appropriate ICD therapy for VT, VF, or death. In a multivariate (stepwise selection) analysis, IH-CHF was associated with an increased risk for the end point of either VT or VF (hazard ratio [HR] 2.52, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.69 to 3.74, p < 0.001) and for the combined end point of VT, VF, or death (HR 2.97, 95% CI 2.15 to 4.09, p < 0.001). Interim hospitalization-CE was associated with an increased risk for VT, VF, or death (HR 1.66, 95% CI 1.09 to 2.52, p = 0.02).ConclusionsThese results provide important mechanistic information, suggesting that worsening clinical condition and cardiac instability, as reflected by an IH-CHF or IH-CE, are subsequently associated with a significant increase in the risk for appropriate ICD therapy (for VT/VF) and death

    Analysis on the Settlement of Adjacent Buildings Caused by the Underpassing Construction of the Biased Tunnel

    Through the simulation analysis of the settlement and deformation law of the surface buildings caused by the construction of the biased tunnel, the following points are obtained: (1) The Peak formula is revised, and the influence range of the biased tunnel is predicted based on the formula. (2) It is concluded that when the tunnel is biased, the position of maximum deformation caused by ground settlement is generally in a parallel area 0.5 times the buried depth from the center line of the tunnel. (3) Through the double-layer verification of simulation analysis and monitoring measurement data, prior to the construction of buildings with similar weak foundations, their foundations should be reinforced in advance. (4) In the process of this simulation, the complicated influence of water pressure on tunnel excavation was not considered, which can be further optimized in the later stage

    Identification and isolation of Genotype-I Japanese Encephalitis virus from encephalitis patients

    Historically, Japanese Encephalitis virus (JEV) genotype III (GIII) has been responsible for human diseases. In recent years, JEV genotype I (GI) has been isolated from mosquitoes collected in numerous countries, but has not been isolated from patients with encephalitis. In this study, we report recovery of JEV GI live virus and identification of JEV GI RNA from cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of encephalitis patients in JE endemic areas of China. Whole-genome sequencing and molecular phylogenetic analysis of the JEV isolate from the CSF samples was performed. The isolate in this study is highly similar to other JEV GI strains which isolated from mosquitoes at both the nucleotide and deduced amino acid levels. Phylogenetic analysis based on the genomic sequence showed that the isolate belongs to JEV GI, which is consistent with the phylogenetic analysis based on the pre-membrane (PrM) and Glycoprotein genes. As a conclusion, this is the first time to isolate JEV GI strain from CSF samples of encephalitis patients, so continuous survey and evaluate the infectivity and pathogenecity of JEV GI strains are necessary, especially for the JEV GI strains from encephalitis patients. With respect to the latter, because all current JEV vaccines (live and inactivated are derived from JEV GIII strains, future studies should be aimed at investigating and monitoring cross-protection of the human JEV GI isolates against widely used JEV vaccines
