    Rekomendasi otonomi daerah adalah mempercepat pertumbuhan ekonomi. Cara yang paling efektif dan efisien untuk mencapai hal tersebut adalah mentransformasikan keunggulan komparatif yang dimiliki daerah menjadi keunggulan kompetitif. Kabupaten Belitung memiliki potensi perikanan tangkap yang relatif besar. Sektor ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pilar ekonomi wilayah di masa mendatang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji keunggulan teknologi penangkapan tenggiri dan menentukan peluang USAhanya berdasarkan dugaan nilai potensi dan pola musim tenggiri di Kabupaten Belitung. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama bulan April-Mei 2005 di Kabupaten Belitung dengan menggunakan metode survei. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa kegiatan penangkapan ikan tenggiri (S. commerson) dengan alat tangkap jaring insang dan pancing ulur telah berjalan efektif dan efisien dengan rata-rata faktor teknis produksi telah mendekati nilai-nilai optimum yang disyaratkan. Peningkatan produksi serta upaya tangkap dimasa akan datang masih dimungkinkan dengan peluang USAha yang menjanjikan.     Estimation fishing season of layang (Decapterus spp) was carried out through data catch of layang from purse seine fishing units landed at PPN Pekalongan. The objectives of the research were to analyze the trend of catch per unit effort of layang (CPUE), to estimate the pattern of fishing season and fishing ground of layang. CPUE analysis was carried out by comparing the catch of fishing effort, the estimated pattern of fishing season was carried out by analysis of time series (moving average), and estimates of the fishing ground by ranking the value of the average monthly trip. During 2004 to 2008, the average CPUE of layang is 13.55 tonnes/trip to the range of 1.37 to 39.60 tons/trip. Fishing season layang is in January, February and May to December, peak season in November and off season in March. Potential fishing ground for catching layang was estimated at Lumu-lumu, South China Sea, Bawean, Matasiri and Karimun-Cirebon

    Bycatch problem is a global issue and can be a driver of marine megafauna declines in the world, such as sea turtle, where is the animal's status as endangered species. Green Light Emitting Diode (LED) is known as an innovative technology to reduce sea turtle bycatch without reduce target catch effectively. The use of green LED in order to reduce sea turtle bycatch in gillnet fisheries was carried out in Paloh Coast, West Borneo during August to October 2015. Experiment performed a total of 20 settings with gillnet fleets operate two units simultaneously, ie gillnet control (without LED lights) and gillnet experiment (with LED lights). Turtles caught predominantly were in the juvenile phase as 57.14% and the potential location of capture sea turtle bycatch in station 2 (1˚52' - 1˚56' LU and 109˚14' - 109˚18' BT). The results, showed that the green turtle (Chelonia mydas) were caught of 7 turtles, were captured by control gillnet 6 turtles with an CPUE 0.29 ± 0.03 Turtle/E, while by experimental gillnet 1 turtle with an CPUE by 0,04 ± 0,009 Turtle/E. The used of green LED light was significantly reduce sea turtle bycatch of 85% without decreasing target catch

    Mangrove as one of the bacterial community development area, one of which is a probiotic bacterium. Exploration of probiotic bacteria in the mud of mangrove forest has not been done, especially in the mud in the mangrove forest Wonorejo, Rungkut-Surabaya. This study aims to determine the candidate probiotic bacteria species found in mangrove forests Wonorejo. This research method is descriptive in the form of sludge sampling surveys at five different points area. Sampling points are T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5. T1 is an area of mangrove forest near Wonorejo milkfish. T2 is a region of southern estuarine mangrove forest near Wonorejo milkfish. T3 is a region of northern estuary mangrove forest Wonorejo near sewerage drains Wonorejo citizens. T4 is a region of southern estuarine mangrove forest Wonorejo and T5 is a region of northern estuarine mangrove forest Wonorejo.     Indonesia reveals incommensurate movement between fishing and reproduction as well as growth of sea fishery commodities. This point can lead to overfishing problem so in order to solve it the enrichment program is required significantly, for instance, through aggregating device program. Research was done on October 2012 by drowning two shapes of aggregating device: quadrangular and cylindrical into Bangka Island's waters. The monitoring result after nine months shows that cylindrical aggregating device is more effective to attach the squid eggs than quadrangular one because it is covered and protected well.
