Agronomic performance of the super-early common bean cultivar BRS FC104 in response to co-inoculation.
The common bean is one of the most produced and consumed species in Brazil, but the productivity of the crop is still low. The use of new technologies has increased the performance of the production system and allowed greater flexibility in the management of the production system. The use of super-early cultivars combined with co-inoculation with bacteria has become a promising alternative for the production system. Thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the agronomic performance of the super-early common bean cultivar BRS FC104 in response to co-inoculation of Rhizobium tropici and Azospirillum brasiliense. Three field experiments were conducted in Santo Antônio de Goiás (water 2018/19 and winter 2019) and in Abadia de Goiás (winter 2019). A randomized block design was used in a 2 x 3 factorial scheme for all experiments, being two common bean cultivars (BRS Notável and BRS FC104 cultivars) and three nitrogen sources (co-inoculation with R. tropici + A. brasilense; nitrogen fertilization and untreated control). The co-inoculation with Rhizobium tropici and Azospirillum brasilense resulted in grain yield equal to that of the nitrogen treatment. The super-early cultivar BRS FC104 showed equivalent productivity as the normal cycle cultivar BRS Notável. Considering that N-fertilizers are a threat to the environment and intensification of sustainable production is a pressing need, the cultivation of the super-early cultivar BRS FC104 under co-inoculation is a recommendation for the sustainable production of the common bean
Numerical Ricci-flat metrics on K3
We develop numerical algorithms for solving the Einstein equation on
Calabi-Yau manifolds at arbitrary values of their complex structure and Kahler
parameters. We show that Kahler geometry can be exploited for significant gains
in computational efficiency. As a proof of principle, we apply our methods to a
one-parameter family of K3 surfaces constructed as blow-ups of the T^4/Z_2
orbifold with many discrete symmetries. High-resolution metrics may be obtained
on a time scale of days using a desktop computer. We compute various geometric
and spectral quantities from our numerical metrics. Using similar resources we
expect our methods to practically extend to Calabi-Yau three-folds with a high
degree of discrete symmetry, although we expect the general three-fold to

Fixação biológica de nitrogênio em germoplasma silvestre de feijoeiro comum.
A fixação biológica de nitrogênio é uma tecnologia capaz de fornecer parte o N necessário ao desenvolvimento das plantas, assim como de contribuir para a redução de impactos ambientais, tais como a contaminação do solo e redução da emissão de gases do efeito estufa. Contudo, na cultura do feijão esta tecnologia ainda é muito pouco explorada, principalmente em função da baixa eficiência apresentada. A avaliação desta característica em genótipos silvestres pode fornecer materiais com alta eficiência, podendo ser utilizados em programas de melhoramento da cultura. Dos 75 genótipos silvestres avaliados neste trabalho, 15% e 7% deles apresentaram maior número de nódulos e massa específica de nódulos que as testemunhas. Além disso, 7% dos genótipos apresentaram a mesma quantidade de N-Total acumulado na parte aérea
Perfectionism, achievement motives, and attribution of success and failure in female soccer players
While some researchers have identified adaptive perfectionism as a key characteristic to achieving elite performance in sport, others see perfectionism as a maladaptive characteristic that undermines, rather than helps, athletic performance. Arguing that perfectionism in sport contains both adaptive and maladaptive facets, the present article presents a study of N 5 74 female soccer players investigating how two facets of perfectionism—perfectionistic strivings and negative reactions to imperfection (Stoeber, Otto, Pescheck, Becker, & Stoll, 2007)—are related to achievement motives and attributions of success and failure. Results show that striving for perfection was related to hope of success and self-serving attributions (internal attribution of success). Moreover, once overlap between the two facets of perfectionism was controlled for, striving for perfection was inversely related to fear of failure and self-depreciating attributions (internal attribution of failure). In contrast,
negative reactions to imperfection were positively related to fear of failure and self-depreciating attributions (external attribution of success) and inversely related to self-serving attributions (internal attribution of success and external attribution of failure). It is concluded that striving for perfection in sport is associated with an adaptive pattern of positive motivational orientations and self-serving attributions of success and failure, which
may help athletic performance. In contrast, negative reactions to imperfection are associated with a maladaptive
pattern of negative motivational orientations and self-depreciating attributions, which is likely to undermine athletic performance. Consequently, perfectionism in sport may be adaptive in those athletes who strive for perfection, but can control their negative reactions when performance is less than perfect
