Multi-frequency imaging of perfectly conducting cracks via boundary measurements
Imaging of perfectly conducting crack(s) in a 2-D homogeneous medium using
boundary data is studied. Based on the singular structure of the Multi-Static
Response (MSR) matrix whose elements are normalized by an adequate test
function at several frequencies, an imaging functional is introduced and
analyzed. A non-iterative imaging procedure is proposed. Numerical experiments
from noisy synthetic data show that acceptable images of single and multiple

Comment on "Spectroscopic Evidence for Multiple Order Parameter Components in the Heavy Fermion Superconductor CeCoIn"
Recently, Rourke et al. reported point-contact spectroscopy results on the
heavy-fermion superconductor CeCoIn [1]. They obtained conductance spectra
on the c-axis surfaces of CeCoIn single crystals. Their major claims are
two-fold: CeCoIn has i) d-wave pairing symmetry and ii) two coexisting
order parameter components. In this Comment, we show that these claims are not

Density Expansion for the Mobility in a Quantum Lorentz Model
We consider the mobility of electrons in an environment of static hard-sphere
scatterers, which provides a realistic description of electrons in Helium gas.
A systematic expansion in the scatterer density is carried to second order
relative to the Boltzmann result, and the analytic contribution at this order
is derived, together with the known logarithmic term in the density expansion.
It is shown that existing experimental data are consistent with the existence
of the logarithmic term in the density expansion, but more precise experiments
are needed in order to unambiguously detect it. We show that our calculations
provide the necessary theoretical information for such an experiment, and give

Protein transduction: A novel tool for tissue regeneration
Tissue regeneration in humans is limited and excludes vitals organs like heart and brain. Transformation experiments with oncogenes like T antigen have shown that retrodifferentiation of the respective cells is possible but hard to control. To bypass the risk of cancer formation a protein therapy approach has been developed. The transient delivery of proteins rather than genes could still induce terminallydifferentiated cells to reenter the cell cycle. This approach takes advantage of proteintransducing domains that mediate the transfer of cargo proteins into cells. The goal of this brief review is to outline the basics of protein transduction and to discuss potential applications for tissue regeneration

Korean art and the avant-garde dilemma
The thesis covers Korean avant-garde art history and the dilemma that faced Korean artists at the end of the Japanese Colonial Period (1910-1945). Current literature adequately details avant-garde as progressive fine arts; however, there is limited literature on Korean art in this period. This thesis suggests the term avant-garde dilemma to indicate Korean artists‘ difficulty in style selection to follow a traditional aesthetical trend or progressive socio-political attitude for the foundation of Korean post-modernism. A salient démarche is found when Korean political avant-garde artists meet this dilemma in the midst of the Korean Demonstration Era (1976-1989) that initiates the decline of aesthetical activism and Demonstrative Art. Several styles of avant-garde dilemma after the Korea War are critiqued in the avant-garde evolution; subsequently, there arise hybrid styles between socio-political avant-garde and aesthetical avant-garde styles in Contemporary Korean Art. The examples included are Nam-Jun Baik‘s Video Art (a combination of art and technology), Do-Ho Suh‘s combination of meticulous sculpture with installation to satire Korean neo-capitalist society, Doo-Shik Lee‘s combination of oriental color with western gesture, and Suk-Chang Hong‘s free calligraphy to combine still-life, landscape, calligraphy, and scribbling
