    Get PDF
This research paper aims at solving the gap of information related to cloud security alliance top twenty critical controls. By reviewing the controls against the major cloud providers. Most organizations are adopting cloud for their business-critical applications. To make it secure, they need to understand the security controls they have access to and how they can perform cloud audits to assure the organization is secure in the cloud environment and complaint. To counter this predicament, Information technology professionals need to review the cloud security measures in AWS, Google Cloud, Azure against CIS top 20 controls, which will help security professionals identify the right cloud vendor for their business needs. This paper provides additional information to the reader who wants to understand the role of security controls in cloud environment and how they address the cloud security risk. Cloud users, cloud architects and cloud consumers will be able to understand how various cloud providers offer tools which assist in maintain the security controls. This research paper provides the base layer information and will help future research in cloud security controls

Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan for Information Security

    Get PDF
Business continuity planning and Disaster recovery planning are the most crucial elements of a business but are often ignored. Businesses must make a well-structured plan and document for disaster recovery and business continuation, even before a catastrophe occurs. Disasters can be short or may last for a long time, but when an organization is ready for any adversity, it thrives hard and survives. This paper will clearly distinguish the difference between disaster recovery plan and business continuity plan, will describe the components of each plan and finally, will provide an approach that organizations can follow to make better contingency plan so that they will not go out of business when something unexpected happens. This paper will put forward a list of recommendations that an organization can follow to maintain enough strength and resources to react and come out of the crisis successfully

X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) depth profiling for evaluation of La2Zr2O7 buffer layer capacity

Lanthanum zirconate (LZO) films from water-based precursors were deposited on Ni-5% W tape by chemical solution deposition. The buffer capacity of these layers includes the prevention of Ni oxidation of the substrate and Ni penetration towards the YBCO film which is detrimental for the superconducting properties. X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy depth profiling was used to study the barrier efficiency before and after an additional oxygen annealing step, which simulates the thermal treatment for YBCO thin film synthesis. Measurements revealed that the thermal treatment in presence of oxygen could severely increase Ni diffusion. Nonetheless it was shown that from the water-based precursors' buffer layers with sufficient barrier capacity towards Ni penetration could be synthesized if the layers meet a certain critical thickness and density

The purpose of the RSA Responsive Response Model (RSA) and Historical Background Information (THA) is to simplify RC building construction and structural design implementation using IS 13930 equivalent static analysis and time data analysis. Three types of defects were considered as multivariate analysis, statistical modelling, and regression model geometry. According to our observations, the measure of shear strength obtained was better for the first floor and decreased under the upper floor in all cases. Larger regulation structures are observed to produce larger shear bases than similar conventional structures. Three types of defects were evaluated as multivariate analysis, statistical significance, and regression model geometry. It has been observed that larger, unorganized structures produce larger shear bases than similar conventional structures. A non-standard scissor set with low weave and many slippery surfaces. Significant changes have been made throughout the history of engineering, grammar modeling in each section is found to be more than those typically created for lofts but incrementally as we move through narrative changes in planning. Both are transformed. Low guest governments appear in high changes on the hottest news

Case report on hydatid cyst of the liver progressed to the lungs

Hydatid liver disease is commonly found in sheep farming areas. Hydatid cysts are confined to the liver and lungs in common. Many reports on hydatid cysts of liver and lungs were reported individually. Here, we report a case of hydatid cyst of the liver leading to the development of cysts in the lungs. The patient had previously underwent surgery for the removal of hydatid cysts in the liver but chemotherapy with albendazole was neither initiated immediately nor continued for 3 to 6 weeks after initiation. Later she presented with shortness of breath and cough along with fever and chills, for which she was diagnosed to have pleural effusion confirmed with pleural fluid analysis showing increase in ADA (Adenosine deaminase) and protein levels and USG (Ultrasonography) demonstrating loculations. Inspite of specific therapy, pleural effusion was not relieved and she was advised for CT chest which revealed multiple cysts in the lung. Suspecting for the liver cysts, USG abdomen was advised and it confirmed the presence of hydatid cysts in the liver. This helped to draw a conclusion that failure of earlier surgical intervention i.e excision of hydatid cyst of the liver lead to the development of cyst in the lungs that presented as pleural effusion. This case highlights the importance of chemotherapy along with surgical intervention before and after the surgery

Metathesis of 9-octadecenoic acid methyl ester: diversity and mechanism of product formation at various Grubbs’ catalyst concentrations

    Get PDF
Self-metathesis of 9-octadecenoic acid methyl ester was carried out with varying the concentration of Grubbs’ second generation catalyst from 0.03 mmol to 0.18 mmol at 40-45 °C for 36 h. Only two products (9-octadecene 30%, and dimethyl-9-octadecene-dienoate 23%) resulted when 0.06 mmol of catalyst was employed, while at other concentrations four metathesized products were observed. 9-Octadecene generated at 0.03, 0.06 and 0.12 mmol completely disappeared and dimethyl-9-octadecene-dienoate (64%) was observed in major amounts at 0.18 mmol concentration
