The paper deals with business potential analysis based on the data published by Czech Statistic Authority (SÚ). It shows that the infrastructure state of the art even in small Czech companies enables to expand ERP and CRM systems, trading over Internet, Supply Chain Management and other new trends. Internet security is here of greatest importance, however it cannot be seen as major obstacle for new trading methods. The greatest challenge identified is the process and workflow optimization. To streamline workflow the document management supporting nearly seamless integration crossover the functional areas is of greatest importance. Moreover, process optimization can run into difficulties due to cross-organization functionalities of new IT architecture concepts like Service Oriented Architecture, WEB2 concepts and other methods and means. In this paper the value flow approach is shortly mentioned as an alternative to process modeling and workflow approach. Value oriented methods can overcome the process oriented approach limitations.ICT infrastructure; Business processes; Process modeling; Document management; Value chains; Business semantics

In today´s digital 21st century, almost all businesses face intense competition from competitors all around the globe. There are no borders and business area for the all companies is almost unlimited. As the main supports of mentioned fact are globalization and ICT´s development. Influences such as globalization, increased popularity of outsourcing and offshoring have recently combined to produce an environment where ICT graduates need to have up-to-date and industry-relevant knowledge and skills, so that they can be successful in this highly competitive environment. Development of e-business and e-commerce make possible the companies to enter to the global markets. Fundamental prerequisite of the successful company in the global market is well-made corporate strategy and correct source information. Of high account condition of an entry to global markets is an adjustment of the information system to global information and business system management standards. The statistics gained from the Czech market shows, that in spite of enormous Internet proliferation the ratio of e-sales is lower than the ratio of e-purchases. Some possible reasons for these phenomena are discussed at the end of this paper.E-business, e-commerce, global information society, information and communication technology, IT security, IT standards, business strategy, enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management.

The Systematization of Disturbances Act upon E-commerce Systems

There are many processes on Internet, on web servers, in ERP and company running an e-commerce system which can be influenced by disturbances. In order to minimize their impact it is necessary to identify and collect all disturbances, to determine their evaluation metric and to propose necessary remedies. Modifications proposed should be tested by means of modeling taking internal and external environment needs into consideration. Necessary information can be captured using the e-commerce system components monitoring. Particular system environment properties like company structure, system architecture, hardware, software, methods of connection with the supplier´s e-commerce system, customer communication interface are to be taken into account. Important social indicators like legislative and economic development, development of the global information society and others should also be considered. Disturbance and failure models can be designed using various methods like e.g. multi-agents modeling, simulations, fuzzy methods modeling etc. Generic ecommerce system model using control circuit as a fundamental notion can be used as a base for modeling.e-commerce system, disturbances, categorization of disturbances, modeling of disturbances, agent, simulation of disturbances

E-commerce as an aggregation of activities concerning trading and rendering service to customers using internet is important for firms of all size to preserve competitiveness in global markets However, introduction of e-commerce means also introduction of new business models. To incorporate new business models into existing company structure is not easy. The paper deals with principles of e-commerce preparation and introduction in a company. Due to crosscutting impacts of e-commerce deployment a careful analysis based also on value chains leading to business application patterns is recommended. From the actual architecture point of view, an e-commerce portal as general interface between company ERP system and external environment seems to be the best solution. Proposed architecture is illustrated by an example of e-commerce portal connection to Microsoft Dynamics NAV system in a real company.Information system, e-commerce system, e-commerce interface, CRM, ERP

Length of transfer time between connecting trains – is there an ideal value?

    Get PDF
Quality public transport is an essential part of global mobility. In general, there is an effort to ensure that as many transport users as possible use public transport. The public transport subsystems also include rail transport. Nowadays, traveling by train is not only a matter of overcoming longer distances in national and international transport, but also a matter of daily commuting to work, school or service. Suburban rail transport is usually part of integrated transport systems, the principle of which is the possibility to use several types of means of transport in one journey per ticket. An indicator of the proper functioning of these systems is the existence of quality and convenient transfer dates times and reliable transfer links that minimize waiting times and total time spent on transportation. Within these systems, there is no network-specific maximum transfer time, which usually depends on the technical solution of the transfer point, the distance that passengers have to cover between vehicles or check-in technology (for example, front door boarding, turnstiles, etc.). the ideal value of the transfer time in terms of the probability that the passenger will not miss the connection and at the same time represents different aspects of the view of this issue. This is on the specific route Ostrava – Prague, which is the busiest in the Czech Republic. Within it, two reference links will be selected (one for each direction), the mean value of the delay in the stations with connections and other statistical indicators will be determined. Furthermore, a simulation of train delays is created using the Monte Carlo method, from which the probability of a connection is determined and subsequently the degree of dissatisfaction with the route is determined while maintaining the current connections. From which a transfer time is subsequently identified in which the probability of passing is as low as possible, but at the same time in normal situations passengers do not have to wait too long

The book deals with theoretical concepts and ways of practical implementation of information sytems in companies. A successful information system project has to be based on the information strategy of the company. Taking the business strategy into consideration the information system value for the company is discussed. Methods of effective project management and controlling including team management and conflict handling are presented from customers and suppliers point of view. The methods proposed are illustrated by several case studies

Import 26/06/2013Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou, výběrem a návrhem implementace optimální varianty v oblasti telefonie firmy. Hlavním cílem práce je vyřešit požadavek společnosti na zvýšení nedostatečné kapacity současné telefonní ústředny. Přáním firmy je, aby nové řešení přineslo zvýšení počtu připojitelných linek, snížilo pravidelné náklady a otevřelo cestu k budoucímu rozvoji. V práci bylo navrženo pět variant řešení, dvě vycházejí z možností současné digitální telefonie a tři využívají technologii VoIP. Pomocí rozhodovací analýzy byla vybrána varianta pořízení vlastního serveru s instalací Asterisk. Byly popsány výhody tohoto řešení a navržen postup implementace. Práce by měla posloužit jako podklad pro efektivní rozhodnutí firmy. This thesis deals with the analysis, selection and implementation of optimal variants in the area of company telephony. The main goal of this work is to solve a company’s requirement to increase the currently insufficient capacity of its telephone exchange. The company’s objective is to have a new solution with more connected lines and decreased regular costs, which will lead to future development. There are five variants in this work. Two of them come from possibilities which current digital telephony offers and the three other variants use VoIP technology. Through the use of decision analysis the variant of the company buying its own server with Asterisk installation was chosen. The benefits of this solution were described and an implementation procedure was proposed. This work should serve as a basis on which the company can make an effective decision.155 - Katedra aplikované informatikyvýborn
