Highlights of the 2021 Brano Heart Failure Forum

Since 2007, the Branislav “Brano” Radovancevic Heart Failure Forum has been held annually to provide a venue for experts to present and discuss “Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure.” Clinicians and researchers gather yearly in a different Eastern European city to discuss the latest in heart failure diagnostics and therapeutics. The forum was postponed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then resumed in September of 2021 in Graz, Austria. It was attended by over 75 faculty from 13 countries. Due to the ongoing pandemic, 13 presentations were given virtually. Throughout the forum, 17 separate sessions focused on challenges and solutions related to mechanical circulatory support and heart transplantation. Inhabitants and Social Organization in the Villages near Zagreb

Within the ethnographic research of folk culture in the villages near Zagreb: Resnik, Čučerje, Ščitarjevo, Markuševec and Šestine, two themes were investigated: inhabitants and social organization. While researching and recording of the given data the author had in mind the time between the two World Wars. During the research, there was a need for registration of contemporary cultural phenomena. Although the main task was finding out the changes in folk life in these suburban villages near Zagreb between the two World Wars, it was necessary to establish transformation found after World War II up to the date of investigation. During the research of both themes the most interesting questions were those which could clear some of the processes of cutting apart the traditional village and the changes of certain life-values of its inhabitants In investigating cultural phenomena of social organization, the author used questions connected with the village community, family, extented family (zadruga), main forms of collective work..

Since 2007, the Branislav “Brano” Radovancevic Heart Failure Forum (BHFF) has been held annually to provide a venue for experts to present and discuss “Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure.” Clinicians and researchers gather yearly in a different Eastern European city to discuss the latest in heart failure diagnostics and therapeutics. The 2022 BHFF forum was held on the 6th thru 8th of September 2022 in Trieste, Italy. It was attended by over 94 faculty from 14 countries. In addition, participation through online streaming was available. Throughout the forum, 17 sessions focused on challenges and solutions related to mechanical circulatory support (MCS) and heart transplantation. Visualisation of sound collections

Vizualizacija podatkov je interdisciplinarna veda, ki se ukvarja s predstavitvijo podatkov. Zadnji čas se še posebej uporablja na svetovnem spletu, v medijih in drugih raziskovalnih panogah, z namenom da bi širši javnosti na čim boljši način prikazala vzorce v zbranih podatkih. V tem diplomskem delu bomo pogledali trenutno najbolj razširjene programske vmesnike in načine za izdelavo vizualizacij na spletu. Največ pozornosti bomo posvetili knjižnici D3.js. Opisali bomo nekaj tipov bolj kompleksnih podatkovnih vizualizacij ter podali njihove prednosti in slabosti. Dotaknili se bomo tudi standardov in formatov za opisovanje podatkov in grafik. Ker se računalništvo razvija s čedalje večjo hitrostjo in število podatkov narašča, bo njihova vizualizacija dobila vedno večji pomen. Zato smo se odločili da naredimo pregled področja in poizkusimo podati nekaj dobrih praks
