    Registration of atmospheric neutrinos with the Baikal neutrino telescope

    We present first neutrino induced events observed with a deep underwater neutrino telescope. Data from 70 days effective life time of the BAIKAL prototype telescope NT-96 have been analyzed with two different methods. With the standard track reconstruction method, 9 clear upward muon candidates have been identified, in good agreement with 8.7 events expected from Monte Carlo calculations for atmospheric neutrinos. The second analysis is tailored to muons coming from close to the opposite zenith. It yields 4 events, compared to 3.5 from Monte Carlo expectations. From this we derive a 90 % upper flux limit of 1.1 * 10^-13 cm^-2 sec^-1 for muons in excess of those expected from atmospheric neutrinos with zenith angle > 150 degrees and energy > 10GeV.Comment: 20 pages, 11 figure

    The article is about a phenomenon of Theatre of two actors as a special form of a stage performance. L. Zorin wrote the play “A man and women” especially for M. Mironova and A. Menaker’s theater, basng on their actor’s individuality, and gave M. V. Mironova the opportunity to play eight roles. A family subject, a problem of mutual understanding between a man and a woman are the main in the performance and the key subjects in M. Mironova and A. Menaker’s creative work. The name of the play is an allusion to the French movie of C. Lelouch “A man and a woman” released in 1966. The performance of Theatre of two actors “A man and women” was staged in 1971. Development of technical capabilities of television by the end of the 1970th promoted the emergence of a televersion version of the play in 1978. The teleplay had two exposition parts. The first, “reading of the new play”, is performed by the actors out of images. Right at the beginning the music from the French movie plays, which seems has no relation to the performance, however it makes reference to the movie about love and indicates the main subject. A. Menaker names the playwright L. Zorin, calls a play genre (“the comedy -sketch in 16 episodes”). Menaker lists eight M. Mironova’s heroines with precise and witty epithets. In the second exposition part Menaker’s hero tells about an initial event of all story: once he needed an inquiry that he was not a patient of a psychoneurological clinic. Instead of a conventional attitude to the problem, he is angry and perceives obtaining the inquiry as a personal insult. Throughout all teleplay we can see the editing of sots: general, long, middle, close-up. The general shot shows the stage divided into some locations: “house” of the main character, “work”, “office of a doctor”, “compartment of a train”, etc. Everything here is extremely conventional: on one set there is a room of a Moscow apartment, on the next—the coast of the Black Sea. All sets are round, located around that allows to speak about life symbolics as “circulation”. Thus harmonious synthesis of variety and theatrical origins, peculiar to Theatre of two actors, wasn’t lost during the work in the genre of a teleplay, unusual for them. On the contrary—individuality of actors could reveal more stoutly thanks to cinema means of expressiveness. Речь в статье идет о феномене Театра двух актеров как особой формы эстрады. Л. Зорин написал пьесу «Мужчина и женщины» специально для театра М. Мироновой и А. Менакера, отталкиваясь от их актерских индивидуальностей и предоставив возможность М.В. Мироновой сыграть восемь ролей. Семейная тема, проблема взаимопонимания мужчины и женщины — главная в спектакле и ключевая во всем творчестве М. Мироновой и А. Менакера. Название спектакля — аллюзия на вышедший в 1966 году французский фильм К. Лелуша «Мужчина и женщина». Спектакль Театра двух актеров «Мужчина и женщины» вышел в 1971 году. Развитие технических возможностей телевидения к концу 1970-х годов способствовало появлению в 1978 году телеверсии спектакля. Телеспектакль имел две экспозиционных части. Первая, «читка новой пьесы», исполняется актерами вне образов. В самом начале звучит музыка из французского фильма, которая вроде бы не имеет никакого отношения к спектаклю, однако отсылка к фильму о любви указывает на главную тему. А. Менакер объявляет драматурга Л. Зорина, называет жанр пьесы («комедия-шутка в 16-ти эпизодах»). Имена восьми дам, героинь М. Мироновой, Менакер перечисляет вместе с ёмкими и остроумными эпитетами. Во второй экспозиционной части герой Менакера повествует об исходном событии всей истории: однажды ему понадобилась справка, что он не состоит на учете в психоневрологическом диспансере. Вместо формального отношения к проблеме, он раздражен и воспринимает получение подобной справки как личное оскорбление. На протяжении всего телеспектакля идет периодический монтаж планов: общий, крупный, средний, детальный. Общий план демонстрирует сценическую площадку, разделенную на несколько локаций: «дом» главного героя, «работа», «кабинет врача», «купе поезда» и т.д. Здесь все предельно условно: на одной площадке — комната московской квартиры, на соседней — побережье Черного моря. Все площадки округлой формы, расположены они тоже по кругу, что позволяет говорить о символике жизни как «круговорота». Словом, гармоничный синтез эстрадного и театрального начал, свойственный Театру двух актеров, при работе в несвойственном для них жанре телеспектакля не был утрачен. Наоборот — индивидуальности артистов смогли раскрыться полнее благодаря кинематографическим средствам выразительности

    Investigations of fine particles concentrations in the atmospheric air near highways

    This paper presents the results of the experimental determination of particulate matter PM 2,5 , PM 10 mass concentration and total suspended particles up to 15 microns (TSP), which are the priority components of air pollutants near the highways. The measurements were made during the year 2016 using a laser analyzer of aerosol DustTrak 8533. The study shows the dependence of the particulate matter concentration from the time of day and the traffic congestion. The sampling (N = 67) was performed due to brief program on the basis of the route monitoring station, which is located on the road junction with heavy traffic – up to1,200 vehicles per hour on the test sites. The single concentrations of the suspended substances reached the levels of the Maximum permissible concentration (MPC) of 1.5. During the study period, the exceeding of the established average daily MPC for fine particles PM 2.5 and PM 10 fractions near the highways have not been identified. The significant linear relationship between the number of diesel vehicles on stops and the concentrations of particulate matter PM 2.5 , PM 10 , TSP (correlation coefficient from 0.62 to 0.65; Fisher's criterion of 14.2 to 38.0; p <0.05) has been established and parameterized, what allows to predict the level of air pollution by diesel vehicles when braking and accelerating. It is recommended to fulfill continuous monitoring of the average daily and single MPC of the fine suspended particles near the roads with traffic load of 769 – 1270 or more the diesel vehicles per every 20 minutes. The obtained data may be used in evaluation of the risk to public health induced by the transport emissions as well as in the estimation of the fine particles PM 2.5 , PM 10 concentrations on the sites close to the highways of the large industrial center
