Synchronization in the BCS Pairing Dynamics as a Critical Phenomenon
Fermi gas with time-dependent pairing interaction hosts several different
dynamical states. Coupling between the collective BCS pairing mode and
individual Cooper pair states can make the latter either synchronize or
dephase. We describe transition from phase-locked undamped oscillations to
Landau-damped dephased oscillations in the collisionless, dissipationless
regime as a function of coupling strength. In the dephased regime, we find a
second transition at which the long-time asymptotic pairing amplitude vanishes.
Using a combination of numerical and analytical methods we establish a
continuous (type II) character of both transitions
Even and odd symplectic and K\"ahlerian structures on projective superspaces
Supergeneralization of \DC P(N) provided by even and odd K\"ahlerian
structures from Hamiltonian reduction are construct.Operator which
used in Batalin-- Vilkovisky quantization formalism and mechanics which are
bi-Hamiltonian under corresponding even and odd Poisson brackets are
considered.Comment: 19 page
rho(omega)-> pi^0 pi^0 gamma, rho(omega) -> eta pi^0 gamma decays in the local quark Nambu--Jona-Lasinio model
The branching ratios and photon spectra of the rare processes rho(omega)->
pi^0 pi^0 gamma, rho(omega) -> eta pi^0 gamma are calculated in the framework
of the standard local quark Nambu--Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model. Three types of
diagrams are considered: the quark box and the pole diagrams with scalar
(sigma,a_0(980)) and vector (rho, omega) mesons. The obtained estimations for
the widths of the processes rho(omega)-> pi^0 pi^0 gamma are in satisfactory
agreement with existing experimental data. Predictions are made for the widths
of the processes rho(omega) -> eta pi^0 gamma.Comment: 6 pages, 5 figure
Energy Resolved Supercurrent between two superconductors
In this paper I study the energy resolved supercurrent of a junction
consisting of a dirty normal metal between two superconductors. I also consider
a cross geometry with two additional arms connecting the above mentioned
junction with two normal reservoirs at equal and opposite voltages. The
dependence of the supercurrent between the two superconductors on the applied
voltages is studied.Comment: revtex, 7 pages, 8 figures. accepted by Phys. Rev.
Gaussian modeling and Schmidt modes of SPDS biphoton states
A double-Gaussian model and the Schmidt modes are found for the biphoton wave
function characterizing spontaneous parametric down-conversion with the
degenerate collinear phase-matching of the type I and with a pulsed pump. The
obtained results are valid for all durations of the pump pulses, short, long
and intermediately long
Carrier drift velocity and edge magnetoplasmons in graphene
We investigate electron dynamics at the graphene edge by studying the
propagation of collective edge magnetoplasmon (EMP) excitations. By timing the
travel of narrow wave-packets on picosecond time scales around exfoliated
samples, we find chiral propagation with low attenuation at a velocity which is
quantized on Hall plateaus. We extract the carrier drift contribution from the
EMP propagation and find it to be slightly less than the Fermi velocity, as
expected for an abrupt edge. We also extract the characteristic length for
Coulomb interaction at the edge and find it to be smaller than for soft,
depletion edge systems.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figures of main text and 6 pages, 6 figures of
