Poster presentation: The pseudo-capacitance of hydrous RuO2 accompanied by mass changes

    Get PDF
Pseudocapacitance reaction of ruthenium oxide was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) measurements combined with electrochemical quartz-crystal nanobalance. RuO2 was synthesized by one-pot microwave assisted hydrothermal method. CV measurements were conducted in H2SO4 and Na2SO4 solutions. The ruthenium oxide electrode as a working electrode was prepared by drop casting the water suspension of RuO2 on Au covered quartz electrode. Beside influence of different electrolyte, the effect of thermal treatment of RuO2 was also investigated since pseudocapacitive behaviour of RuO2 strongly depends on its hydrous form. The obtained results were compared to those of commercial RuO2. The results indicate that during the redox reaction of RuO2, various types of charge occur simultaneously. The mass loss or mass gain depends on the specific potential applied and the electrolyte employed.Poster presentation at Fifth international symposium on corrosion and materials protection, environmental protection and protection against fire proceedings, Proceedings, 26-29. septembar 2023. godine, Bar.Conference paper: [https://cer.ihtm.bg.ac.rs/handle/123456789/7138

Application of GIS in assessing natural conditions for the development of raspberry growing at the territory of the municipality of Å trpce

The paper presents the analysis of natural conditions for the development of the agricultural branch ā€“ raspberry growing in the municipality of Å trpce. The following analyses were carried out using GIS technology: the analysis of pedological cover, terrain aspect and slope, hypsometric conditions, precipitation and land use methods. The paper also presents the materials and methods for obtaining the final evaluation of the conditions and assessing the natural characteristics for the territory of Å trpce. By cabinet work, elimination method, and valorisation method through software packages, the analysis and interpretation of natural characteristics was carried out on all maps individually. In the geographic information systems, one of the most important materials in research is the database, i.e. its availability and scope. The final version of the work is formed by processing all natural conditions through GIS. The final result of the work and research is a synthetic map of the benefits for raspberry growing in the area of Å trpce, with pronounced areas suitable for the development of raspberry growing. The main reason for determining these locations is the uncertain economic stability and insufficiently informed local population due to the unfavourable political situation in the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija

Electrocoagulation removal of heavy metals from wastewater generated by washing a screen printing plate

    Get PDF
The possibility of applying electrocoagulation treatment to remove heavy metals (zinc, copper, and chromium) from wastewater generated during the washing process of the screen printing plate was carried out. The electrocoagulation efficiency is estimated based on reducing the concentrations of detected heavy metals in the screen wastewater at defined process parameters such as electrode material, current density, interelectrode distance, and operating times

Study of the interaction between genotype (G) and year (Y) provides good estimates of genotypes breeding values. In order to investigate the main effects of G, Y and G x Y interactions on yield and quality components of NS soybean genotypes, an experiment with genotypes of different maturity groups was carried out during three-year period. The average yield for all genotypes was 4,716 kg ha(-1). Genotype, year and interaction G x Y had statistically significant effect on the yield, p lt 0.05, p lt 0.01. The highest grain yields per unit area had, on an average, was recorded in genotype Venera (4,962 kg ha(-1)), significantly higher than genotype Vojvodjanka (4,522 kg ha(-1)), p lt 0.05. The highest yield stability was recorded by genotypes of MG 0. The average protein content of all examined genotypes was 37.60%. Year, genotype and G x Y interaction had statistically significant effects on protein content. Genotype Galina had on an average the highest protein content (38.11%), significantly higher than genotypes Trijumf, Valjevka and Venera, p lt 0.05. Significantly higher protein content was achieved during 2008 and 2009 compared with 2010, p lt 0.05, p lt 0.01. Average protein yield for all genotypes was 1,711 kg ha(-1). The highest protein yields had genotype Venera, significantly higher than genotype Vojvodjanka, p lt 0.05. The average oil content for all examined genotypes was 21.51%. The most favorable year for oil synthesis in the test period was 2008 (22.41%). Statistically significantly higher oil content was recorded in 2008 (22.41%) compared to 2010 (20.22%) and significantly higher than in 2009 (21.89%), p lt 0.05. Genotype Valjevka (21.78%) had on average significantly higher oil content than genotype Trijumf, p lt 0.05. The average oil yield for all genotypes was 1,014 kg ha(-1). On average the highest oil yield was recorded in genotype Venera. The yield was negatively statistically significant correlated with protein content, highly negatively significant correlated with air temperature and positively significant correlated by protein yield, oil yield and precipitation. The goal of the breeder was to create highly productive soybean varieties, followed by quality grain. This research can constitute the basis for further soybean breeding

Impact of row spacing and seed rate on the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) and their valorisation

In this paper are shown the results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) cv. `Naki', which grown in rows with different row spacing and seed rate in the agroecological conditions of central Serbia in three successive analysed years. Four levels of two observed factors were used in the experiment: row spacing (12.5; 25; 37.5 and 50 cm) and seed rate (9, 16, 23 and 30 kg ha(-1)). Due to the analyses, the height of the tiller, the length of the spike and the number of spikelets per spike gave better results by sowing in wider rows (37.5 and 50 cm) using lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Seed yield and harvest index responded favourably to sowing in rows at a wider row spacing (37.5 and 50 cm) in combination with a lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)), while shoot dry weight gave better results by sowing in narrower rows (12.5 cm) with lower seed rate (9 and 16 kg ha(-1)). Using the appropriate row spacing in sowing and the optimum of seed rate provides the highest results of the production characteristics of the perennial ryegrass that can be applied to further production

Characterization of the organic load of the waste fountain solution

The qualitative analysis of the organic loads of waste fountain solution (WFS) was investigated in the paper. Two liquid/liquid (L/L) extraction methods were used for WFS sample preparation: L/L extraction with methylene chloride and sequential L/L extraction with n-pentane, methylene chloride and methylene chloride at pH 2. Qualitative characterization of the organic load profile of offset effluent was performed using a gas chromatographic/mass spectrometric method
