Ispitivanje karakteristika sopstvenih i prinudnih oscilacija na terenskom vozilu FAP 2228 sa specijalnom nadgradnjom

The paper presents the testing of free and forced oscillations characteristics on FAP 2228 BS/A-45 off-road vehicle. The testing of free oscillations was conducted according to SORS 9127 (Standard of Defense of the Republic of Serbia) in laboratory conditions. The testing of forced oscillations was conducted in the course of driving on various surface paths - the heath in Deliblatska pescara, gravel at the territory of Fruska gora, on concrete surface at the runway of the Kovin airport, as well as on the asphalt surface of Belgrade-Šid highway. The testing was carried out according to SORS 0318 and ISO 2631 standards, and the results were evaluated according to 2002/44/EC Directive.U radu je dat prikaz ispitivanja karakteristika sopstvenih i prinudnih oscilacija terenskog vozila FAP 2228 BS/A-45. Ispitivanje sopstvenih oscilacija vozila obavljeno je prema SORS 9127 u laboratorijskim uslovima. Ispitivanje prinudnih oscilacija vozila obavljeno je vožnjom po stazi - ispresecana ledina, u oblasti Deliblatske peščare, ravničarski makadam u oblasti Fruške gore, po betonskoj podlozi na pisti aerodroma Kovin, kao i po asfaltnoj podlozi autoputa Bgd - Šid. Ispitivanja su obavljena prema SORS 0318 i ISO 2631, a rezultati su ocenjeni prema direktivi 2002/44/EC

Potential for improvement of comfort parameters in off-road vehicles of Serbian Armed Forces

U radu su prikazani usporedni rezultati ispitivanja parametara udobnosti u kabini terenskog automobila Land Rover Defender. Mjerenja su provedena na dvije varijante vozila 110 GS Hard Top i 110 GS Soft Top – heavy duty. Testiranja parametara udobnosti obavljena su samo na vojnim terenskim vozilima, ili još preciznije, na terenskim vozilima koja su u uporabi u Vojsci Srbije. Rezultati obavljenih testiranja nude neke prijedloge za poboljšanje udobnosti vojnih terenskih vozila koja se koriste u Vojsci Srbije. Uspoređeni su elementi udobnosti s aspekta smještaja posade, buke, vibracija i efikasnosti grijanja. Dio eksperimenta je obavljen u realnim eksploatacijskim uvjetima, prilikom intenzivne vožnje terenskih vozila na tri odabrane opitne staze, kako bi se osigurala ponovljivost rezultata ispitivanja: ispresijecana ledina (Deliblatska peščara), ravničarski makadam (Fruška gora) i asfaltna podloga (dionica autoputa Beograd – Zagreb pored Šida zbog manje frekvencije saobraćaja i kvalitetne podloge). Mjerenja buke i vibracija su obavljena na mjestima vozača, suvozača i članova posade pri strogo definiranim brzinama gibanja vozila. Ispitivanje efikasnosti grijanja u kabini obavljeno je u laboratorijskim uvjetima u hladnoj komori poligona Nikinci pri konstantnoj temperaturi okoline od -16 °C.The paper presents the comparative results of comfort parameter testing inside the cabin of Land Rover Defender off-road vehicles. The measurements were carried out on two vehicle models – 110 GS Hard Top and 110 GS Soft Top Heavy Duty. Tests on comfort parameters were performed only on the military off-road vehicles, or to be more precise on the military off-road vehicles used by the Serbian Armed Forces. The results of the performed tests offer some suggestions for the improvement of comfort of military off-road vehicles used by the Serbian Armed Forces.The comfort elements have been compared from the aspect of accommodation of the crew, noise, vibrations and heating efficiency. A part of the experiment was performed by intensive driving of these off-road vehicles in real world conditions, on three pre-selected types of terrain surface, in order to ensure the repeatability of the testing results: heath, gravel and asphalt base (a portion of the Belgrade – Zagreb highway at the territory near Šid was used due to its less frequent traffic and surface quality). Noise and vibration measurements were carried out at the driver’s seat, co-driver’s seat and other passenger seats under strictly defined vehicle speeds. Testing of the heating efficiency inside the cabin was carried out under laboratory conditions in the cold chamber of the artillery range at Nikinci at a constant ambient temperature of -16 °C

Work-related diseases and injuries on an oil rig

The analysis of diseases and injuries in the workers on an American oil rig, operating in the Mediterranean Sea, was done in the period of one year, from 1 May 1996 to 1 May 1997. In total, 518 medical examinations of sick and injuried workers were conducted. At the first place in morbidity, there were injuries and poisonings (26.7% of all registered cases). Then followed musculo-skeletal (17.5%), respiratory (14.2%), gastrointestinal diseases (12.1%), mental disorders (10.3%), nervous system (9.2%), skin (6.5%), urogenital (2.9%) and circulatory system diseases (0.6%). Out of all cases, the hand and finger injuries (48.3%) were most frequent, followed by injuries of the leg (13.4%), eye (11.3%), head and neck (10.1%), arm (7.9%), foot (6.7%) and trunk (2.3%). To reduce the incidence of diseases and injuries, special attention should be paid to the workers' basic medical education, to protective measures and providing first aid at the work site

Higijensko-epidemiološki nadzor - koncept proaktivnog pristupa

U skladu s vizijom, misijom   i ciljevima za redizajn naše ustanove od 2003. godine, i u Epidemiološkom odjelu pristupilo se provedbi novog koncepta higijensko-epidemiološkog nadzora. Glavni cilj bio je postići višu razinu kvalitete u smislu bolje dostupnosti kontinuiteta javnozdravstvene skrbi iz područja epidemiološke djelatnosti, proaktivan pristup u iznalaženju rizika i prijetnje zdravlju, veći obuhvat i bolji compleance od strane korisnika.   Uz tehničke i kadrovske preduvjete, za dinamično funkcioniranje u praksi učinjene su i organizacijske preinake. Prema temeljnoj zakonskoj regulativi od strane Hrvatskog zavoda za zdravstveno osiguranje (HZZO), ugovorom su za pružanje higijensko-epidemiološke zdravstvene zaštite za skrb nad 40.000 stanovnika, financirani higijensko-epidemiološki timovi (u nastavku HE tim) u sastavu: liječnik specijalista epidemiolog te stručni suradnici - jedan sanitarni inženjer i jedan sanitarni tehničar

RETROSPECTION ON HYGIENE CONGRESS ORGANISATION IN OPATIJA 1950

U prvim godinama nakon završetka Drugoga svjetskoga rata zbog sveopćih nestašica bilo je velikih tehničkih problema u organizaciji kongresâ. Tijekom 1950. godine u Opatiji su organizirana dva kongresa zdravstvenih radnika s tematikom vezanom uz preventivnu medicinu. Organizator na terenu bio je Oblasni higijenski zavod Rijeka (OHZR). Uvidom u dopise u pismohrani OHZR-a može se pratiti tijek priprema. U želji da sudionici budu zadovoljni ravnatelj OHZR-a je, među ostalim, zatražio od lokalnog poduzeća da u svojim prodavaonicama osigura dovoljnu količinu razglednica i cigareta.In years following to the second world war the convention organisator was faced with major technical difficulties due to universal shortage of resources. During the 50’s, two conventions of health workers with topics related to preventive medicine were held in Opatija. On both occasion Sanitary Bureau of Rijeka (Institute of Hygiene) was the main organisator. Reviewing the correspondance in Institute of Hygiene archive, one can monitor the preparations for the congress. In order to meet the participant’s expectation, director of Institute of Hygiene, requested from the local entrepreneur adequate supply of postcard and cigarettes

Determination of Enzyme Matrix Metalloproteinases-9 and Immune Status as Indicators of Development of the Environmental Diseases

The majority of environmental diseases are multifactorial airway illnesses, including genetic background and exposure to different kind of airborne irritants and allergens. Altered lifestyle and changes in environmental exposures contribute to the occurring of these diseases. The term of environmental illnesses includes the disease primarily caused by pollution of air and water, chemical and physical agents, radiation, contaminated food and direct contact with the toxins we are exposed to natural and/or working environment. The members of the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) family are involved in the pathogenesis of COPD. MMPs comprise a large family of structurally related zinc metalloendopeptidases with different substrate specificities and possibilities to degrade protein constituents of the extracellular matrix. We investigated immunological status and level of MMP-9 in workers occupationally exposed to volatile aromatic hydrocarbons compared to urban residents and rural areas. The phenotypic profiles of peripheral blood lymphocytes were done by flow cytometry. The method of enzyme immunoassay (ELISA) was used to determine enzyme expression of matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9). The occupationally exposed group had a significantly elevated level of enzyme MMP-9 in the urine, accompanied with augmentation of cells of innate immunity in peripheral blood, which could contribute to the monitoring, early detection of environmental diseases and consequent earlier and more effective treatment

Epidemiological Study of Sun Exposure and Visual Field Damage in Children in Primorsko-Goranska County – the Risk Factors of Earlier Development of Macular Degeneration

The aim of this study was to examine the possible harmful effects of solar exposure on visual field damage in children living in Primorko-Goranska Country. Our previous work has shown noxious influence on visual field in children with anamnesis long term exposure to sunlight. This is an extended study, including children in Novi Vinodolski and Gorski kotar. We measured possible defect in isopteric visual field and macular-meridian thresholds. In the area of island of Rab these changes were the biggest, subsequently is Novi Vinodolski and at least Gorski kotar with the smallest range of eye complicates according to exposure to sunlight. These damages correlate with the areas of great solar emission. Damages in periphery isopters of visual field have shown the characteristics of periphery defect invagination, while increased macular thresholds in complete visual field was from 5 to 15 Asb. We can conclude that there is direct connection between increased sunlight and long-term exposure to sunlight on one side, and on the other side, damages of retinal perception. Increased sun exposure may represent very important factors in early occurrence and develop of Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD). It is recommended the children protection in summer months, as well as taking derivates of vitamin A and antioxidants. Nowadays, AMD is one of the most important causes of damaged visual field, pretend to be national problem if we don’t use the adequate prevention. World Health Organization has to begin with prevention of AMD, including these risk factors
