Synthesis, characterization and antimicrobial studies of novel quinazoline derivatives of sydnone
1462-14673-[2-Substituted-4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-6-yl]sydnones
10a-i have been synthesized from 2-(acetylamino)benzoic acid 1 by
conventional route. The newly synthesized compounds 10a-i have been characterized by IR, NMR
spectroscopy as well as by elemental analysis. Compounds 10a-i have also been screened for their
antimicrobial activity against four important species of bacteria. Some
compounds are found active against these species.

Synthesis, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal activity of sydnone-based aromatic compounds
93-102In order to
investigate the biological importance of sydnone ring system, two new series viz. 4-(<i style="mso-bidi-font-style:

synthesized. They have been characterized by FT-IR, 1H and 13C
NMR and elemental analysis. The final compounds have been screened for their
antibacterial activity against S. aureus and S. pyogenes from a
Gram positive group of bacteria and E.coli and P. aeruginosa from
a Gram negative group of bacteria and antifungal activity against C. albicans, A. niger and <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:

activity against all tested strains of bacteria, while compound YB6
exhibits good activity against Gram positive bacteria S. aureus and YB7
displays good activity against both Gram negative bacteria E.coli and P.
aeruginosa.

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 2-Substituted-3-((3-(6-Nitrobenzo[<i>D</i>]thiazol-2-yl)-4-oxo-3,4-Dihydroquinazolin-2-yl)Methyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-3-ium-5-thiolate
<div><p> </p><p>A new series of 2-substituted-3-((3-(6-nitrobenzo[d]thiazol-2-yl)-4-oxo-3,4-dihydroquinazolin-2-yl)methyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-3-ium-5-thiolate <b>6(a–j)</b> was synthesized starting from anthranilic acid <b>1</b>. The structures of the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, mass spectra, and elemental analysis. The final compounds were tested for their antimicrobial activity against several microbes. </p><p>[Supplementary materials are available for this article.
