Quality of the drug is basic need of the era, Analytical tests are helpful to overcome the impurity or substandard of drugs. By following these tests we can ensure the qualities of drugs and promise the good result in treating the disease. Materials and methods: Physico‐chemical studies like Refractive index, Acid value, Saponification value, Iodine value and moisture content were carried out as per the WHO guidelines, Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia and Indian Pharmacopoeia. Conclusion: Standardization tests done on Tangashri Ghrita are useful in authentication and ensuring the quality of the same

Arka kalpana is the unique formulation mentioned in Arka Prakasha. Nimbadi Arka is mentioned in Talurogaadhikara as Taluroganashaka Arka. Its ingredients are Nimba (Azadiracta indica A.Juss), Vacha(Acorus calamus L), Rasna (Pluchea lanceolata L), Paatha (Cissampelos pareira Linn), Ativisha (Aconitum heterophylum Wall.ex.Royle) and Katurohini (Picrorhiza kurroa Royle ex Benth). Aims and objectives: To assess the quality and fix the standard method of preparation of Nimbadi Arka. Materials and Methods: In this study, the Arka is prepared according to the method described in the Ayurveda Formulary of India, Sharangadhara Samhita, Arka Prakasha, Text Books of Bhaishajya kalpana, Ayurveda sara samgraha and Ayurveda Pharmacopoeia of India. The Nimbadi Arka is prepared by 4 different methods. To assess the quality of the Arka, a physiochemical analysis is done. Result: From the Arka prepared by four different methods, the high-quality Arka obtained is the one manufactured according to the method described in the Ayurvedic Formulary of India (AFI)

Background: Stability studies are the test to assess the shelf life of the Ayurvedic proprietary medicines. Govt. of India made mandatary test for licencing and renewal of licencing of the proprietary medicine. Accelerated stability studies, testing interval of 0,3 and 6 months.  Kailas Jeevan is a proprietary semisolid dosage form prepared in GMP approved Ayurveda Sumshodanalaya (P) Pvt. Ltd. Dhayri, Pune. It is indicated in Constipation, Cracked heels, Wounds, Pimples, Burns etc. Aims and Objectives: To evaluate the shelf life of Kailas Jeevan through accelerated stability study. Materials and Methods: The formulation was prepared in the GMP approved pharmacy. Shelf life of product was evaluated by assessing in changes in physicochemical, Microbial and quantification profiles, after keeping it in stability chamber at specific temperature (40±2°C) and relative humidity (75±5%). Analysis was carried out at the intervals of 0, 1, 3, 6, 9,12, 18 and 24 months. Average 25% degradation time was calculated to find the shelf life as per the Ayurvedic Pharmacopoea of India, Part I Vol ix guidelines. Results and Conclusion: The parameters assessed in accelerated study of Kailas Jeevan, was shown under limits till 24 months. Based on multiplication factor shelf life of Kailas Jeevan is 7.02 year.
