Variation in the morphological pattern of coronary arteries and their major branches is an important factor in the assessment and treatment of coronary heart disease. Detailed knowledge of the blood supply of the heart is necessary today because of the wider practice of cardiac surgery, and also for better understanding of the anomalous branches, anastomosis and dominance pattern in circulation caused by coronary vasculature. We utilized 80 human heart specimens and found right dominance in 69 specimens, left dominance in 9 specimens and balanced type of circulation in 2 specimens. We observed anastomosis between the major arteries in arteriogram but in vascular corrosion method we did not found because cast substance interpretation to minor vessels is too difficult. The present study acknowledges about Coronary vascular pattern, circulatory dominance of the arteries and by using the vascular corrosion method

FPGA based solutions become more common in embedded systems these days. These systems need to communicate with external world. Considering high-speed and popularity of Ethernet communication, developing a reliable real-time Ethernet component inside FPGA is of special value. To that end, we present a new solution for FPGA Gigabit Ethernet communications with timing analysis. The solution deals with "Gigabit Media-Independent Interface" in its physical layer. Network protocol is implemented from physical to transport layer which is UDP. In this Project using LAN connection various data will be captured by FPGA and will be sent on a serial line. Read the data from UART Receive and transform the data in it. On FPGA logic is implemented to read data from serial port. Write data in to memory location and transmitted data out put The FPGA module takes data from serial port and sends to PC in Ethernet form. In PC application will be developed to read data from Ethernet

Background: Congenital heart defects (CHD) remain the most prevalent congenital malformations, with an estimated prevalence of 6-8 per 1000 live births. Routinely, fetal echo is performed around 18-22 weeks among high risk cases. A dedicated early fetal echo (EFEC) performed by experts between 11-16 weeks is emerging as an excellent screening tool among high risk cases. However, feasibility of obtaining such cardiac views during routine Nuchal Translucency scan by trained obstetricians, is yet to be known as there is limited time available with high patient turn over. Present study aimed to know the feasibility and accuracy of EFEC in unselected obstetric population in a tertiary maternity centre with high patient turnover. Methods: This was an observational cohort study from March 2015 to April 2017 at a tertiary maternity referral hospital. Singleton pregnant women undergoing routine 11-13+6 weeks scanning (NT scan) were recruited in the study including both high and low risk pregnancies. Possibility of obtaining 4 basic cardiac views within this limited time was assessed. Results: A total of 180 early fetal ECHO’s were performed during the course of this study. The 4-chamber view (79.44%) of the heart was the easiest parameter to visualize. RVOT (28.88%) was the most difficult view to be obtained. Complete visualization of all the cardiac views was possible in only 34 women (18.88%). The visualization rates of the cardiac views improved as the gestational age increased. TVS was essential to obtain cardiac views in 5 cases out of 138 (3.6%) in 12-13+6 scans. Whereas, TVS was essential to visualize cardiac views in 34 cases out of 42 (80.95%) between 11 weeks to 11 weeks 6 days. A total of 7 cardiac anomalies were detected during this study. There were 3 major and 4 minor cardiac malformations. Out of the 3 major anomalies, 2 were AVSDs which were diagnosed by EFEC. Minor defects were undetected. Conclusions: It is feasible to get the basic cardiac views in the limited time available to perform NT scan among unselected obstetric population in a tertiary maternity centre with a high turnover. Gestational age of 12 weeks and above seems to increase the accuracy. TVS is a useful adjunct throughout 11-14 weeks scan

Background: There is a growing incidence of extended-spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBL) infections worldwide. ESBL bacteremias have been associated with poor outcomes, higher costs and increased durations of hospital stay. The objective of the study was to identify the risk factors in these patients along with antibiotic susceptibility patterns to help identify the patients with poorer prognosis and in guiding treatment decisions more effectively. Methods: An observational case-control study conducted in a tertiary care hospital in south India over a duration of 18 months. Cases were defined as an adult in-patient who had infection with blood cultures showing growth of ESBL-producing bacteria. A total of 70 patients were included in the study group and subjected to evaluation to determine the risk factors, prognostic indicators and the antibiotic susceptibility. Results: The major risk factors for ESBL-bacteremia identified were prior admission, prior antibiotic usage, prior Foleys catheter and the presence of a vascular catheter. Pneumonia as the source of bacteremia and requirement of mechanical ventilation were identified as indicators of poor prognosis. Carbapenems, cefoperazone-sulbactam and piperacillin-tazobactam showed excellent sensitivity against ESBL-bacteremia.Conclusions: The findings of this study emphasizes the importance of recognizing ESBL-bacteremias in patients with risk factors, so that patients who are at risk to have a worse prognosis can be promptly started on a susceptible antibiotic

Fine Grained Approach for Domain Specific Seed URL Extraction

Domain Specific Search Engines are expected to provide relevant search results. Availability of enormous number of URLs across subdomains improves relevance of domain specific search engines. The current methods for seed URLs can be systematic ensuring representation of subdomains. We propose a fine grained approach for automatic extraction of seed URLs at subdomain level using Wikipedia and Twitter as repositories. A SeedRel metric and a Diversity Index for seed URL relevance are proposed to measure subdomain coverage. We implemented our approach for \u27Security - Information and Cyber\u27 domain and identified 34,007 Seed URLs and 400,726 URLs across subdomains. The measured Diversity index value of 2.10 conforms that all subdomains are represented, hence, a relevant \u27Security Search Engine\u27 can be built. Our approach also extracted more URLs (seed and child) as compared to existing approaches for URL extraction

Identity-Based Blind Signature Scheme with Message Recovery

    Get PDF
Blind signature allows a user to obtain a signature on a message without revealing anything about the message to the signer. Blind signatures play an important role in many real world applications such as e-voting, e-cash system where anonymity is of great concern. Due to the rapid growth in popularity of both wireless communications and mobile devices, the design of secure schemes with low-bandwidth capability is an important research issue. In this paper, we present a new blind signature scheme with message recovery in the ID-based setting using bilinear pairings over elliptic curves. The proposed scheme is unforgeable with the assumption that the Computational Diffie-Hellman problem is hard. We compare our scheme with the related schemes in terms of computational and communicational point of view

Objective: To study the biosynthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using the aqueous leaf extract of Achyranthes aspera and check the antimicrobial and free radical scavenging activity of the biosynthesized AgNPsMethods: 20 ml of aqueous leaf extract of A. aspera was added to 80 ml of 2 mM silver nitrate and the reaction solution was heated at 55-60 °C for 20 min and incubated. Biosynthesized AgNPs were characterized by different spectroscopic measurements including UV-Vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and Dynamic light scattering (DLS). Antimicrobial activity of AgNPs was checked against Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis (Gram+ve bacteria), Klebsiella pneumonia, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Gram-ve bacteria), Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans and Candida nonalbicans (Human pathogenic fungi) by employing disc diffusion method. The free radical scavenging activity of AgNPs was checked against 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) radicals. Results: After 1 h of incubation, the light yellow color of the reaction solution was turned to dark brown. UV-Vis spectra showed the absorption peak at 445 nm and confirmed the synthesis of AgNPs. FTIR spectra revealed the functional groups plausibly involved in the biosynthesis and stabilization of AgNPs. XRD pattern revealed that the synthesized AgNPs were crystalline in nature with face-centered cubic (FCC) phase. TEM revealed that the synthesized AgNPs were spherical in shape with 20-40 nm in size. DLS analysis revealed that the average size of AgNPs was 24.5 nm. Biosynthesized AgNPs were highly stable due to their high negative zeta potential value of-28.1 mV. AgNPs showed effective antimicrobial activity against S. aureus (16.4 mm), B. subtilis (14.5 mm), K. pneumonia (13.2 mm), P. aeruginosa (12.4 mm), A. niger (12.2 mm), C. albicans (11.5 mm) and C. nonalbicans (11.8 mm). AgNPs showed effective free radical scavenging activity with IC50 values of 77.73 and 90.53 µg/ml respectively against DPPH and H2O2 radicals. Conclusion: Successful and rapid synthesis of AgNPs was achieved using aqueous leaf extract of A. aspera. Biosynthesized AgNPs were proved to be excellent antimicrobial agents and free radical scavengers. Keywords: Achyranthes aspera, Silver nanoparticles, TEM, DLS, Antimicrobial and Radical scavenging activit
