Supertraces on the Algebras of Observables of the Rational Calogero Model with Harmonic Potential
We define a complete set of supertraces on the algebra , the
algebra of observables of the -body rational Calogero model with harmonic
interaction. This result extends the previously known results for the simplest
cases of and to arbitrary . It is shown that admits
independent supertraces where is a number of partitions of
into a sum of odd positive integers, so that for . Some
consequences of the existence of several independent supertraces of are discussed such as the existence of ideals in associated -
type Lie superalgebras.Comment: 22 pages, LATE
Higher Spin Conformal Currents in Minkowski Space
Using unfolded formulation of free equations for massless fields of all spins
we obtain explicit form of higher-spin conformal conserved charges bilinear in
4d massless fields of arbitrary spins.Comment: LaTeX, 10 pages. Corrected typo
Higher Spins in AdS and Twistorial Holography
In this paper we simplify and extend previous work on three-point functions
in Vasiliev's higher spin gauge theory in AdS4. We work in a gauge in which the
space-time dependence of Vasiliev's master fields is gauged away completely,
leaving only the internal twistor-like variables. The correlation functions of
boundary operators can be easily computed in this gauge. We find complete
agreement of the tree level three point functions of higher spin currents in
Vasiliev's theory with the conjectured dual free O(N) vector theory.Comment: 23 pages. v3: minor errors fixed, added comments and reference
Multi-field approach in mechanics of structural solids
We overview the basic concepts, models, and methods related to the
multi-field continuum theory of solids with complex structures. The multi-field
theory is formulated for structural solids by introducing a macrocell
consisting of several primitive cells and, accordingly, by increasing the
number of vector fields describing the response of the body to external
factors. Using this approach, we obtain several continuum models and explore
their essential properties by comparison with the original structural models.
Static and dynamical problems as well as the stability problems for structural
solids are considered. We demonstrate that the multi-field approach gives a way
to obtain families of models that generalize classical ones and are valid not
only for long-, but also for short-wavelength deformations of the structural
solid. Some examples of application of the multi-field theory and directions
for its further development are also discussed.Comment: 25 pages, 18 figure
Master Higher-Spin Particle
We propose a "master" higher-spin (HS) particle system. The particle model
relevant to the unfolded formulation of HS theory, as well as the HS particle
model with a bosonic counterpart of supersymmetry, follow from the master model
as its two different gauges. Quantization of the master system gives rise to a
new form of the massless HS equations in an extended space involving, besides
extra spinorial coordinates, also a complex scalar one. As solutions to these
equations we recover the massless HS multiplet with fields of all integer and
half-integer helicities, and obtain new multiplets with a non-zero minimal
helicity. The HS multiplets are described by complex wave functions which are
holomorphic in the scalar coordinate and carry an extra U(1) charge q. The
latter fully characterizes the given multiplet by fixing the minimal helicity
as q/2. We construct a twistorial formulation of the master system and present
the general solution of the associate HS equations through an unconstrained
twistor "prepotential".Comment: 21 pages, minor corrections, version to appear in Class. Quantum Gra
Pluralism: A New Framework for International Criminal justice
This chapter introduces ‘pluralism’ as a framework for international criminal justice and provides an overview of the previous debates on (global) legal pluralism, fragmentation, and diversification of law as they have been framed in different legal disciplines. It then examines the interpretations of these concepts in those contexts and addresses the primary question of vocabulary choices. The pluralism language does not merely reflect a semantic change, but also comes with a paradigm shift. The chapter distinguishes between the dimensions of ‘pluralism’ in international criminal justice and identifies several underlying perspectives that may be valuable in explaining the nature and workings of the ICL project. Finally, it formulates the approach and research questions raised by the pluralism framework and provides an overview of the subsequent chapters
BTZ Black Hole as Solution of 3d Higher Spin Gauge Theory
BTZ black hole is interpreted as exact solution of 3d higher spin gauge
theory. Solutions for free massless fields in BTZ black hole background are
constructed with the help of the star-product algebra formalism underlying the
formulation of 3d higher spin theory. It is shown that a part of higher spin
symmetries remains unbroken for special values of the BTZ parameters.Comment: 31 pages, LaTeX; references correcte
Higher-Spin Theory and Space-Time Metamorphoses
Introductory lectures on higher-spin gauge theory given at 7 Aegean workshop
on non-Einstein theories of gravity. The emphasis is on qualitative features of
the higher-spin gauge theory and peculiarities of its space-time
interpretation. In particular, it is explained that Riemannian geometry cannot
play a fundamental role in the higher-spin gauge theory. The higher-spin
symmetries are argued to occur at ultra high energy scales beyond the Planck
scale. This suggests that the higher-spin gauge theory can help to understand
Quantum Gravity. Various types of higher-spin dualities are briefly discussed.Comment: 37 pages, no figures; V2: references adde
A String Model for AdS Gravity and Higher Spins
We construct a string sigma-model which low energy limit describes the anti
de Sitter gravity and spin 3 massless fields in Vasiliev's frame-like
formalism. The model is based on vertex operators generating vielbein and
connection fields in the Mac Dowell - Mansoury - Stelle - West (MMSW)
formulation of gravity. The structure of the vertex operators is based on the
hidden symmetry generators in RNS superstring theory, realizing the isometry
group of the AdS space. The beta-function equations in the sigma-model lead to
equations of motion in the MMSW gravity with negative cosmological constant
with the AdS geometry being the vacuum solution. Generalizations for the higher
spin fields are analyzed and equations of motion for spin 3 fields in in
frame-like formalism are obtained in the low energy limit of string theory.
These equations correspond to those of truncated Chern-Simons action
based on higher spin algebra .Comment: 21 pages typos corrected, few clarifications and references adde
