Lower Mass Bound on the mass via Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay in a 3-3-1 Model
The discovery of neutrino masses has raised the importance of studies in the
context of neutrinoless double beta decay, which constitutes a landmark for
lepton number violation. The standard interpretation is that the light massive
neutrinos, that we observed oscillating in terrestrial experiments, mediate
double beta decay. In the minimal 3-3-1 model, object of our study, there is an
additional contribution that stems from the mixing between a new charged vector
boson, , and the Standard Model W boson. Even after setting this
mixing to be very small, we show that tight constraints arise from the
non-observation of neutrinoless double beta decay. Indeed, we derive bounds on
the mass of the gauge boson that might exceed those from collider
probes, and most importantly push the scale of symmetry breaking beyond its
validity, leading to the exclusion of the minimal 3-3-1 model.Comment: 16 pages, 5 figure
Doubly-periodic array of bubbles in a Hele-Shaw cell
Exact solutions are presented for a doubly-periodic array of steadily moving
bubbles in a Hele-Shaw cell when surface tension is neglected. It is assumed
that the bubbles either are symmetrical with respect to the channel centreline
or have fore-and-aft symmetry, or both, so that the relevant flow domain can be
reduced to a simply connected region. By using conformal mapping techniques, a
general solution with any number of bubbles per unit cell is obtained in
integral form. Several examples are given, including solutions for multi-file
arrays of bubbles in the channel geometry and doubly-periodic solutions in an

In order to carry out their orders of shoe soles, this company has a number of tasks T_1, ..., T_n of different lengths to be assigned to groups of machines.
Each group is operated by one worker (two in one case), and an operation cycle corresponds to injection, cooling, and removal of the sole. The time taken at each step varies from one order to another, and when starting a new task a machine needs to be tuned, which takes some extra time. Machines are working in parallel. At the moment the assignment is carried out empirically, and the problem proposed is to optimize the procedure
