partes: i) el estudio en semiceldas, ii) el posterior paso a celdas completas...In this PhD memory, converge two of the most studied topics in
Materials Science in recent years, as highlighted by the prestigious
magazine Materials Today3. The Li-ion batteries are the most commonly
used energy storage devices in the consumer’s modern society of
information and technology. These batteries have replaced to the Cd-Ni
and Ni-metal hydride batteries in mobile devices. They are also arising as
the most promising option to provide energy for hybrid and electric
vehicles. The graphene and specially its properties are surprising to the
scientific community since the pioneering work of Geim and Novoselov
in 2004. Thousands of research articles4 have been published since then,
in different fields and applications. In this memory, graphene nanosheets
(GNS) are used as electrodes in Li-ion batteries, starting from the study
of this material obtained by different synthesis routes and the evaluation
of its electrochemical properties against Li metal (half cell configuration)
followed by its optimization to be used in full cell configuration against
commercial cathode materials. The latter is undoubtedly a significant
contribution since, to our knowledge, no reports have been published so
far on the electrochemical behavior of graphene in real Li-ion batteries.
The results obtained in the different studies that are part of this memory
have been divided into three parts: i) the study in half cells, ii) the
subsequent study in full cells and, iii) using graphene nanosheets in
combination with iron oxide.

Design of audio-visual resources for the work of contents on climate change in the bachelor degree in Primary Education
The educational legislation establishes as one of the contents to be treated and to work in the curriculum of Primary Education "Climate Change: causes and consequences". Therefore, working on this subject in the Bachelor Degree in Primary Education is essential in the training of future teachers. This paper presents a project that has been carried out in the subject "Didactics of Experimental Sciences in Primary Education", in the third year of the Bachelor Degree in Primary Education, at Cordoba University. Basically it consisted in the elaboration of a short video of about 5 minutes of approximate duration, in groups (of 4-5 people). Previously, students had to document the subject sufficiently. Thus, at the beginning of the second quarter, they were given material to investigate and draw their own conclusions. Once, trained on the subject, they prepared the different videos, which were projected in class during the last practice session
Clonal chromosomal mosaicism and loss of chromosome Y in elderly men increase vulnerability for SARS-CoV-2
The pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19) had an estimated overall case fatality ratio of 1.38% (pre-vaccination), being 53% higher in males and increasing exponentially with age. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, we found 133 cases (1.42%) with detectable clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations (mCA) and 226 males (5.08%) with acquired loss of chromosome Y (LOY). Individuals with clonal mosaic events (mCA and/or LOY) showed a 54% increase in the risk of COVID-19 lethality. LOY is associated with transcriptomic biomarkers of immune dysfunction, pro-coagulation activity and cardiovascular risk. Interferon-induced genes involved in the initial immune response to SARS-CoV-2 are also down-regulated in LOY. Thus, mCA and LOY underlie at least part of the sex-biased severity and mortality of COVID-19 in aging patients. Given its potential therapeutic and prognostic relevance, evaluation of clonal mosaicism should be implemented as biomarker of COVID-19 severity in elderly people. Among 9578 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 in the SCOURGE study, individuals with clonal mosaic events (clonal mosaicism for chromosome alterations and/or loss of chromosome Y) showed an increased risk of COVID-19 lethality
