TEACHER TRAINING FOR THE TECHNICAL SECONDARY EDUCATION

This paper analyzes in detail the school system in Hungary and the situation of the teacher training for the general education. We have the need to introduce the curriculum system of the teacher education. We will also show the autonomy of training institutions concerning the national core curriculum for teacher education. In our paper the teacher training in the Department Technical Education (DTE) will be introduced

GPS AS THE DEVICE OF JUNCTION OF TRIANGULATION NETWORKS

Conversion between Hungarian and Austrian map projection systems is presented in this paper. The conversion may be performed in two steps: at first any kind of map projection systems should be transformed into WGS-84 ellipsoidal co-ordinates in one country, and then from WGS-84 ellipsoidal co-ordinates should be transformed into the desired system of the other country. An algorithm and a computer program have been developed to carry out this transformation

THE MANIFESTATION OF HEALTH-CONSCIOUSNESS IN FOOD PREFERENCE AND CONSUMPTION AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE ACCORDING TO AN EMPIRIC STUDY

In our study we set out to find answers to the question of how today’s secondary schools students in Hungary assessed certain food products. We examined in the target group also the development of relationship between the preference of a certain product and its assessment from the health point of view. We assumed that both the preference and assessment of food for its effects on health were not only influenced by the gender of consumers but also by the type of the school attended and to a large extent by the development level of the region of domicile. In conclusion, young people had shown some signs of awareness of what is healthy eating and they had been able to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy foodstuffs, but their consumption was still significantly dominated by what they considered to be pleasant food. A possible consequence of this finding is that nearly a quarter of young people and a third of boys consider themselves suffering from overweight. XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Kutatásunkban arra kerestük a választ, hogy a mai magyar középiskolások körében milyen a megítélése az egyes élelmiszeripari termékeknek. Vizsgáltuk, hogy az élelmiszerek kedveltsége és annak egészségesség megítélése között ho-gyan alakul a kapcsolat a vizsgált csoport esetében. Feltételezésünk volt, hogy mind a kedveltséget, mind a különbözÅ‘ élelmiszerek megítélését az egészségesség szempontjából nemcsak a fogyasztók neme, de az iskola típusa és a lakóhely sze-rinti régió gazdasági fejlettsége is nagy mértékben befolyásolja. Összességében megállapítást nyert, hogy bár a fiatalok mutattak olyan jeleket, hogy ismerik az egészséges táplálkozás alapjait, illetve hogy különbséget tudnak tenni egészséges és egészségtelen élelmiszerek között, mégis fogyasztásukat ma még sokkal inkább az élvezeti jellemzÅ‘k dominálják. Morphometric age and sex identification of Eurasian Collared Doves (Streptopelia decaocto friv.)

In this research, our main goal was to test, if there is an effective, yet economical way to perform native sexing on Columbidae species in field conditions. Since molecular sexing is not available among field conditions, a morphometric method was aimed to be used. After morphometric measurements, autopsy was performed to determine the sex of collected birds. The novelty of the method is that we added a new measure point to improve age and sex determination. The method was tested on Eurasian Collared Doves (n=18). Our result showed that the gap of pubic bones is highly correlated to age and most of the main morphometric data, despite the low sample number

CONVERSIONS BETWEEN HUNGARIAN MAP PROJECTION SYSTEMS

\Vhen different map projection systems are applied simultaneously over a given area, the need for conversion permanently arises in the overlapping areas of these systems. Conversions, however, cannot always be made by closed matnematical formulas and in these cases it frequently raises serious problems to apply a correct transformation method. Hence such an algorithm and program package was developed for all combination conversion between Hungarian map projection systems and their reference surfaces which does not cause any difficulties even for users having no deeper knowledge in map projections
