    AbstractThe fundamental information, in the current world, is one of the main elements for decision making among governments, banks and individual investors. The paper discussesuseof basicfundamentalindicatorsin the trading strategycreation. The main goal and researchideaisto testthe ability, sensitivity and reaction rate of markets on the information. The idea was to research how quickly market absorbsanannounced value of the fundamental information andconverse them intothe desiredchanges inthe price movements. Research offersan unconventionallook at the instrument price movement, taking into consideration comparedvalue changes of fundamental information and different timedelaysapplied to the entrypositions. The approach is applied to the majorstock indexS&P 500representing the widest scope of the market. The lengthof the time series,on whichthe strategies could be tested, together with the impact of information, served us as determinantsof the stock indexes selection. In the development phase the maximumpossible combinations of strategiesfordecision-makingalgorithm,were tested. The results were used for the selection of the most efficient strategies taking into account the smallest drawdown. At the end of the paper the results and strategies are discussed, and selected strategies are back-tested ontheunderlying assets ETF, SPDRS&P500 (SPY)

    The phenomenon of Internet everyday affects individuals on the one side, but on the other side also the whole economy through activities of companies. Companies mainly in European Union’s “old” member states have realised advantages of Internet, or other computer networks, in their manufacturing processes and everyday business. Exploitation of Internet and other computer ne- tworks for commerce are generally used by the EU companies. Companies in Slovak republic are still lagging in electronic commerce using, and to ensure expansion in this field, is necessary cur- rent status identification and moreover comparison with advanced states of EU. This article is focu- sed on description of selected areas in Slovak chemical and machinery sectors, which are Gross Domestic Product main contributors, especially production of automobile, and activities in these sectors are crucial for future economic development of Slovak republic. In this article the survey of ICT usage based on European eBusiness w@tch methodology was conducted with special focus on most perspective areas. Based on questionnaire survey, the results in the field of on-line buying and selling adoption and related activities of mentioned sectors are presented and current status is compared with percentage average of electronic business exploitation among companies in the “old” member states. Together with current status also some positive trends in using electronic buying and selling within chemical and machinery sectors, in a period of three years, are identified. One of the most important and relatively positive issues is that, although Slovak companies has big gaps in e-procurement and e-selling adoption, in the case if the company already use such a solu- tion, they use this on very high level of complexity and functionality. At the summary some critical factors that could influence results together with relevant findings are described

    European SMEs can hardly access optimized transport solutions and normally generate a scattered demand producing a large number of transport means. The paper shows how the approach taken within the KASSETTS project based on proposed operational scenar-ios, developed in the Central Europe and ena-bled Central Europe manufacturing SMEs to jointly and effectively participate in the dynamic construction of efficient transnational transport solutions by means of knowledge and intelli-gent ICT services provided by the EU wide network of intermediary organizations acting as logistic coordinators. The proposed concept proved to have a positive impact on the effec-tiveness of transport routes.Europejskie małe i średnie przed-siębiorstwa mają niewielki dostęp do zoptyma-lizowanych rozwiązań transportowych. Niniej-szy artykuł pokazuje w jaki sposób zapropono-wane scenariusze w ramach projektu KAS-SETTS rozwinęły się w Centralnej Europie i pozwoliły na dynamiczne tworzenie skutecz-nych rozwiązań w transporcie dla małych i średnich przedsiębiorstw za pomocą wiedzy, inteligentnych usług IT dostarczanych przez organizacje Unii Europejskiej, które funkcjonują jako koordynatorzy logistyki. Zaproponowana koncepcja okazała się mieć pozytywny wpływ na efektywność w działaniach transportowych
