Methods to ensure optimal off-bottom and drill bit distance under pellet impact drilling

    Get PDF
The paper describes pellet impact drilling which could be used to increase the drilling speed and the rate of penetration when drilling hard rock for various purposes. Pellet impact drilling implies rock destruction by metal pellets with high kinetic energy in the immediate vicinity of the earth formation encountered. The pellets are circulated in the bottom hole by a high velocity fluid jet, which is the principle component of the ejector pellet impact drill bit. The paper presents the survey of methods ensuring an optimal off-bottom and a drill bit distance. The analysis of methods shows that the issue is topical and requires further research

The influence of amplitude and phase perturbations of antenna array sensors on direction finding of narrow-band signals efficiency

    No full text
The amplitude and phase perturbations (APP) of antenna array sensors are the basic sources of the errors arising while estimating the narrow-band signals direction arrival (DOA). The analysis of the APP influence on the quality of estimation is performed by statistical simulation technique as a rule. The given method has broad capabilities, however, when simulating the array with a large number of sensors the using of this one requires essential computing costs. In this connection there is a necessity in obtaining analytical representations connecting the DOA estimation errors with the APP parameters of array sensors. The aim of the given paper is the getting of canonical representations for mean value and variance of DOA estimation errors as well as the matching of obtained relations with statistical simulation results

Rated Power Determination for Autonomous Micro Combined Heat and Power and Rechargeable Battery System

    No full text
An autonomous micro combined heat and power (Micro-CHP) is usually installed to increase energy efficiency and reduce energy costs in areas remote from large power systems. The main goal of autonomous Micro-CHP is to provide residential and industrial areas with electricity and heat. By designing an autonomous Micro-CHP, one of the key issues is the determination of rated power, since the energy efficiency of equipment and the costs of fossil fuels depend on the rated power. The mathematical model can better calculate the necessary rated power for an autonomous Micro-CHP in the case of operation with rechargeable batteries. Overall, the results have shown that the engine characteristics, operation process of three-phase synchronous generator and statistical information on loads are the criteria for improving energy efficiency

The aim of the paper is theoretical and experimental research of processes during the single-phase ground faults in electrical distribution grids of 10/06/35 kV with isolated neutral mode. The mathematical method of rationing is used for the analysis of the spectral composition of currents and voltages increasing the information content of the allocated higher harmonics of current and voltage. The paper show a comparison of the results of spectral analysis with and without taking into account the mathematical rationing obtained on the simulation model. Field experiments have demonstrated the effectiveness of using of the method of mathematical rationing of the higher harmonic components of current and voltage for various types of single-phase ground faults. The results of field experiments provided an opportunity of improving the methodology of yearling detection of single-phase ground faults in electric grids of 6-10-35 kV with an isolated mode of neutral. The conclusion of the research is the possibility of a significantly more accurate selection of the resonant frequencies of the spectrum of currents and voltages obtained by using of the method of mathematical rationing. The possibility of earlier and more precise localization of the feeder with ground fault is shown on the base more precise selection of the resonant frequency currents and voltages

Social networks ecology: Socio-psychological phenomena and new means in communication system

Β© 2019 Kurbanov et al. The relevance of this article is to understand the ecology of the Internet space as a communication environment, which has many little-studied aspects, in which various processes are constantly taking place, new trends and phenomena are occurring that represent a rich field for research. Internet meme can be attributed to this new phenomenon. The aim of the study is to analyze the nature and communicative capabilities of the Internet meme, to determine the main approaches to the study of this phenomenon and its impact on the ecology of social networks; identifying the specifics of the Internet meme in different spheres of public life. The leading method for the study of this problem is the method of the questionnaire, which identifies units arranged in a logical sequence, which contributes to the effective identification of socio-psychological phenomena that affect the ecology of social networks. The article analyzes the concept of Internet meme. The influence of the Internet meme on the ecology of social networks is analyzed. The functions, language techniques and patterns of Internet memes are considered. The novelty and originality of the study lies in the fact that the phenomenon of the Internet meme is considered, which can be considered a multidimensional phenomenon of Internet culture that affects the ecology of social networks. It is revealed that it bears the imprint of personal experiences of the creators; reflects the events of reality; broadcasts the worldview of the authors to other users, thereby affecting the consciousness of the user and forms certain values in it. It is determined that the Internet meme plays an important role in the ecology of social networks through the production and reproduction of a certain Internet culture. It is established that the emotional response that memes cause is an important factor for memorizing a meme, as well as a stimulus for its dissemination. Emotions often carry a negative, provocative connotation. These emotions Express mockery, sarcasm. It is revealed that in the most positive way youth evaluates absurd memes and memes with high originality. It is determined that in everyday life memes perform the function of communication (connection of words in sentences). Young people allocate local memes that are distributed within small groups, respectively; so, there are those that can be called common ones. It is established that the use of memes in marketing communications should be very differentiated and competent, because the sincerity of the meme is extremely important for young people, and too popular meme causes irritation. The data obtained in the work can be used in environmental psychology, marketing psychology, labor psychology, age psychology, social psychology, as well as for further theoretical development of this issue
