The liberating Christian troops after the almost 150 years long Turkish occupation found the Hungarian fields in an exasperating state at the end of the 17th century. The restart and reorganization of life on the reoccupied areas seemed almost hopeless. Entire counties became unpopular and desolated, huge areas lost their cultural landscape character. Through the example of Fejér County, this study present that enormous work of reorganization that led to the successful integration of the former occupied areas into the Hungarian Kingdom by the end of the 18th century. It presents the process of re-establishment of Fejér County, the ethnic and denominational relations, population growth tendencies, the resurgent urban structure. The study analyzes the property and social status of the nobility returning to the county, and also the role of the nobility in the reorganization of the county. It presents in details the institutional system of the county, its operation, and names the noble families who took the leader role in the reorganization of the county. At the end of the study, it covers all the economic and cultural achievements that underlie the national uprising in the 19th century

Decs-Ete mezőváros komplex régészeti kutatása II. 2004-2007 Tolna megyében, a történelmi Sárközben található az egykori Ete nevű mezőváros, amelynek vizsgálatára 1996-ban indítottunk komplex kutatási programot. A pályázati ciklusban egyrészt a program különböző fázisában előkerült tárgyi anyagok a tervezett monográfiához való előkészítését, másrészt egyes programrészek további folytatását és lehetőség szerinti befejezését tűztük ki célul. Sor került az un. fazekasház és egyéb objektumok nagy mennyiségű kerámia leletanyagának, valamint a jelentős mennyiségű fémtárgy restauráltatására. Folytattuk a leltározást. (Jelenleg több, mint 6500 kerámia- és fémtárgy van beleltározva.) A leletadatokat digitális adatbázisba töltöttük fel. A leltározás után a tárgyak jelentős részéről fotót és rajzot készíttettünk. A tárgyi anyag kezelése, a feldolgozás megkövetelte a már korábban létrehozott számítógépes adatbázisrendszer folyamatos fejlesztését. Folytattuk a mezőváros területének további légi megfigyelését, fényképezését, amelynek egyik szomorú megfigyelési eredménye a településmaradványok további folyamatos pusztulásának dokumentálása. Az intenzív topográfiai munkák kapcsán megismételtük a mezőváros keleti területének bejárását kedvezőbb talajviszonyok között. Elkészült a 15-16. századi kályhacsempeanyag komplex elemzése, térinformatikai feldolgozással együtt. Részeredményekről konferenciákon számoltunk be, valamint publikációkban közöltük ezeket. | Complex archaeological research of country town Decs-Ete II. 2004-2007 The one-time country town Ete can be found in the historical region Sárköz in Tolna County. The complex research of it was started in 1996. The objective of the application was the preparation of the findings found in different phases of the programme for the planned monograph as well as the continuation and the possible finishing of the programme parts. The restoration of the pottery house and significant number of metal objects were finished. We continued the inventory. (At the moment more than 6,500 ceramic and metal objects are in the file.) After accomplishing the inventory photos and graphics were made about a large number of the objects. The handling of the found objects and the processing of the data required the further development of the IT database. We continued the aerial observation and taking photos of the area of the country town, as a result of which further decay of the remains of the settlement was ascertained. Related to the intensive topographic work we made tours of inspection again at the east side of the country town when soil conditions were favourable. The complex analysis of the 15th-16th century stove tiles was accomplished together with the spatial informatics processing. OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION OF POLE MOUNTED DISTRIBUTION TRANSFORMERS

The failure rate of pole mounted distribution transformers due to lightning is relatively high even if arresters are installed on their primary side. Dangerous voltage stresses resulted from the operation of the arrester connected to the primary terminals may appear in the transformer insulation. To clarify this phenomenon, a computer simulation has been undertaken. The authors have performed a sensitivity analysis in order to determine the main parameters influencing the stresses. It has been found that the most significant parameters affecting the voltage stresses in the transformer are the arrester current, the transformer connection and the transformer grounding resistance. The voltage stresses in the HV winding can be sufficiently reduced by means of spark gaps on the LV terminals besides the HV arresters
