Spin rotation and oscillation of high energy particles in storage ring

Phenomena of rotation and oscillations of particle spin are discussed for particles rotating in storage ring. The fact that these effects are described by spin-dependent part of zero-angle scattering amplitude allows to use them for the measurement of this amplitude at different energies of colliding particles. It is shown that effect magnitudes are large and they can be observed at the existing accelerators.Comment: Late

Ramond sector of superconformal algebras via quantum reduction

Quantum hamiltonian reduction of affine superalgebras is studied in the twisted case. The Ramond sector of "minimal" superconformal W-algebras is described in detail, the determinant formula is obtained. Extensive list of examples includes all the simple Lie superalgebras of rank up to 2. Procedure to research characteristics of finely dispersed coal bearing sludge

Розглянута методика досліджень властивостей тонко дисперсних осадів, що впливає на процес фільтрування. Приведені дослідження процесів, які відбуваються в порах осадів на мікрорівні. За результатами досліджень визначено максимальний час,необхідний для зневоднення вугільних осадів шламової крупності. Одержані залежності необхідного часу зневод-нення від проникності осадів,перепаду тиску та товщини осадів.Рассмотрена методика исследования свойств тонкодисперсних осадков, которые влияют на процесс фильтрования. Приведены исследования процессов, которые происходят в порах на микроуровне. По результатам исследований определено максимальное время, необходимое для обезвоживания угольных осадков шламовой крупности. Impact of double-logarithmic electroweak radiative corrections on the non-singlet structure functions at small x

In the QCD context, the non-singlet structure functions of u and d -quarks are identical, save the initial quark densities. Electroweak radiative corrections, being flavor-dependent, bring further difference between the non-singlets. This difference is calculated in the double-logarithmic approximation and the impact of the electroweak corrections on the non-singlet intercepts is estimated numerically.Comment: 17 pages, no figure

Can one see the fundamental frequency of a drum?

We establish two-sided estimates for the fundamental frequency (the lowest eigenvalue) of the Laplacian in an open subset G of R^n with the Dirichlet boundary condition. This is done in terms of the interior capacitary radius of G which is defined as the maximal possible radius of a ball B which has a negligible intersection with the complement of G. Here negligibility of a subset F in B means that the Wiener capacity of F does not exceed gamma times the capacity of B, where gamma is an arbitrarily fixed constant between 0 and 1. A new Wiener-Hopf approach for the solution of impenetrable wedges at skew incidence is presented. Mathematical aspects are described in a unified and consistent theory for angular region problems. Solutions are obtained using analytical and numerical-analytical approaches. Several numerical tests from the scientific literature validate the new technique, and new solutions for anisotropic surface impedance wedges are solved at skew incidence.
