IstraΕΎivanje Ξ³-RASPADA sloΕΎene JEZGRE 168Er nastale reakcijom (n, 2Ξ³)
The information derived from the spectra of two-step Ξ³-cascades proceeding between the compound state of 168Er and its low-lying (Ef < 1.1 MeV) levels is analysed. The data on the most intensive cascades resolved experimentally were used to verify and make more precise the already known decay scheme of this nucleus and to extend it to higher excitation energies. The degree of its completeness was estimated numerically for a decay scheme of 91 levels with Eex < 3.14 MeV. Total intensities of all cascades (including those unresolved experimentally which form continuous parts of the experimental spectra) were used for testing the models which attempt to explain and describe the cascade Ξ³-decay process in the excitation energy diapason up to the neutron binding energy Bn.Analiziramo podatke o spektrima dvojnih gama kaskada izmeΔu stanja sloΕΎene jezgre i nisko-leΕΎeΔih stanja (Ef < 1.1 MeV) 168Er. Metal vapor lasers with increased reliability
Results of investigation and development of an excitation pulse generator with magnetic pulse compression by saturation chokes for pumping of active media of CuBr, Sr, and Ca vapor lasers are presented. A high-power IGBT transistor is used as a commutator. The generator can operate at excitation pulse repetition frequencies up to 20 kHz. The total average power for all laser lines of the CuBr laser pumped by this generator is ~6.0 W; it is ~1.3β1.7 W for the Sr and Ca lasers
Dynamics of cellular immunity indicators in the complex treatment of acute optic neuritis
An increase in the incidence of optic neuritis among the working-age population, as well as an unpromising prognosis for vision due to the development of optic nerve atrophy, determines the high social significance of this problem. The aim of the work is to analyze the effect of Imunofan at the parameters of cellular immunity and clinical symptoms of the disease in the complex treatment of optic neuritis associated with herpes virus infection. The study involved 37 people (37 eyes) with acute optic neuritis associated with herpes infection. The treatment regimen included the appointment of a dexamethasone solution according to a decreasing scheme, a 1% solution of the drug Emoxipin 0.5 mL and a 12.5% solution of the drug Dicynone 0.5 mL through an irrigation system implanted in the retrobulbar space, in combination with the neuroprotection drugs (Pikamilon and Semax) for 10 days. All patients were divided into 2 groups. The main group consisted of 20 patients who received Imunofan to the treatment regimen in addition. The comparison group included 17 patients who were treated only according to the method described above. The course of treatment lasted 10 days. The analysis of the data showed a more significant positive dynamics of cellular immunity parameters in those who received immunotherapy. Our studies showed the effectiveness of this drug in the complex treatment of optic neuritis associated with herpes infection, what is confirmed by the acceleration of inflammation relief, a more significant increase in visual functions of patients treated with Imunofan, and a lower percentage of optic nerve atrophy. In this group of patients, changes in the parameters of the cellular link of immunity occurred earlier and remained stable throughout the entire period of observation. According to our data, an intergroup assessment of the immunoregulatory index showed its faster increase in patients of the comparison group who received Imunofan, and reached normal values already 6 months after treatment. The clinical effectiveness of Imunofan in the complex therapy of optic neuritis associated with herpes infection was characterized by a reduction in the period of relief of signs of inflammation in the optic nerve by 2 times or more, by an increase in the maximum corrected visual acuity by 4.5 times, and by a decrease in the incidence of recurrence of optic neuritis by 2 times over a 12 months observation period
Partial level density of the n-quasiparticle excitations in the nuclei of the 39< A <201 region
Level density and radiative strength functions are obtained from the analysis
of two-step cascades intensities following the thermal neutrons capture. The
data on level density are approximated by the sum of the partial level
densities corresponding to n quasiparticles excitation. The most probable
values of the collective enhancement factor of the level density are found
together with the thresholds of the next Cooper nucleons pair breaking. These
data allow one to calculate the level density of practically any nucleus in
given spin window in the framework of model concepts, taking into account all
known nuclear excitation types. The presence of an approximation results
discrepancy with theoretical statements specifies the necessity of rather
essentially developing the level density models. It also indicates the
possibilities to obtain the essentially new information on nucleon correlation
functions of the excited nucleus from the experiment.Comment: 29 pages, 8 figures, 2 table

Objective: to evaluate the changes in perception of body image in patients with dorsopathies after restorative procedures (with the example of massage).Materials and methods. The study involved 50 patients with spinal diseases (of which 13 had intervertebral disc hernias, 13 patients had protrusions, 22 had scoliosis, 46 had osteochondrosis and 8 patients had spinal traumas). To assess the dynamics of the psychoemotional state and the attitude toward the body, we used the eight-color version of LΡscher color test and the color metaphors technique offered by I.L. Solomin and modified for the research task. Each patient was treated by a course of medical massage (10 sessions). Assessment of psychological parameters was conducted before and after the course of medical massage with the aim to establish the changes in the psychological state. The methods of descriptive statistics, the Studentβs test for dependent samples and the procedure of tree clustering were used.Results. The average and elevated levels of non-productive neuropsychic tension after treatment of patients either significantly and statistically significantly decreased or completely normalized. Exhaustion and lethargy in most cases were replaced by higher levels of activity and mobilization of physical and psychological resources. Psychosemantic analysis indicates that after massage sessions, important life values related to health and perception of oneself as more necessary and attractive are allocated in clusters. There is a reason to conclude that a person ceases to βindulge in illness,β and opens up to the external environment, thus family and romantic relationships improve.Conclusion. After a course of medical massage, in addition to the therapeutic effect, patientsβ overall psychoemotional state and attitude toward their own bodies improve.Π¦Π΅Π»Ρ:

Mitochondria-Targeted Antioxidant SkQ1 Improves Dermal Wound Healing in Genetically Diabetic Mice
Oxidative stress is widely recognized as an important factor in the delayed wound healing in diabetes. However, the role of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species in this process is unknown. It was assumed that mitochondrial reactive oxygen species are involved in many wound-healing processes in both diabetic humans and animals. We have applied the mitochondria-targeted antioxidant 10-(6β²-plastoquinonyl)decyltriphenylphosphonium (SkQ1) to explore the role of mitochondrial reactive oxygen species in the wound healing of genetically diabetic mice. Healing of full-thickness excisional dermal wounds in diabetic C57BL/KsJ-dbβ/dbβ mice was significantly enhanced after long-term (12 weeks) administration of SkQ1. SkQ1 accelerated wound closure and stimulated epithelization, granulation tissue formation, and vascularization. On the 7th day after wounding, SkQ1 treatment increased the number of Ξ±-smooth muscle actin-positive cells (myofibroblasts), reduced the number of neutrophils, and increased macrophage infiltration. SkQ1 lowered lipid peroxidation level but did not change the level of the circulatory IL-6 and TNF. SkQ1 pretreatment also stimulated cell migration in a scratch-wound assay in vitro under hyperglycemic condition. Thus, a mitochondria-targeted antioxidant normalized both inflammatory and regenerative phases of wound healing in diabetic mice. Our results pointed to nearly all the major steps of wound healing as the target of excessive mitochondrial reactive oxygen species production in type II diabetes

Objective. Evaluation of the psychological well-being and hardiness in adolescents with cardiac symptoms.Materials and methods. The study involved 80 people aged 18β24 years, a relatively healthy sample. To assess the existential characteristics, the scale of psychological well-being of Π‘. Ryff in the adaptation of N.N. Lepeshinsky. To assess the psychological quality of hardiness, the S. Maddi questionnaire was used in adaptation D.A. Leontiev, E.I. Rasskazova. To assess the psychosomatic component of cardiac symptoms the Giessen questionnaire of psychosomatic complaints was used. Descriptive statistics methods, the Mann β Whitney test for independent samples, a one-way analysis of variance with a posteriori pairwise comparison using the Newman-Keuls test were used.Results. For members of the healthy sample at the age of 18β24 years, the severity of psychosomatic cardiac complaints is relatively homogeneous by sex and age; the most significant differences in existential characteristics and hardiness in connection with the severity of psychosomatic cardiac symptoms fall on indicators of βcommitmentβ, βcontrolβ, βenvironmental managementβ. Conclusion. The most significant and discriminating contribution to the prevention of psychosomatic cardiac complaints is such existential and stress-coping characteristics of personality as the ability to effectively use life situations to achieve oneβs own goals, to fight for success and get results from their actions, to strive for maximum involvement in the activities of interest for the reflected, conscious meaning in life.Π¦Π΅Π»Ρ β ΠΎΡΠ΅Π½ΠΊΠ° ΠΎΡΠΎΠ±Π΅Π½Π½ΠΎΡΡΠ΅ΠΉ ΠΏΡΠΈΡ

ROLE OF ANGIOGENIC FACTORS FOR TRANSPLACENTAL TRANSFER OF THE MEASLES ANTIBODIES
Angiogenesis factors (VEGF, Ang-1, TGF-Ξ²) influence production, development and functioning of vascular endothelium that are part of the placental barrier structure and are involved into transplacental transfer of different substances. The aim of this study was to study the relationship between VEGF, Ang-1, and TGF-Ξ² concentrations, and the levels of transplacental IgG-antibodies to the measles virus in cord blood of children born to mothers with placental insufficiency. Patients and methods: venous blood was taken from 32 women with uncomplicated pregnancies, and 34 samples from pregnant women with placental insufficiency, as well as umbilical blood of their newborns, the level of IgG-antibodies to measles and the concentration of some angiogenic factors (VEGF, Ang-1, TGF-Ξ²) examined by ELISA techniques. The following results were obtained: in a cord blood of infants seronegative for the measles virus, born to women with placental insufficiency, showed uniformly low VEGF levels, decreased Ang-1 concentration (1.6) and increased TGF-Ξ² concentration (2.7) as compared to seropositive newborns. In a similar group of children from mothers with physiological pregnancy, the level of these factors did not differ from those in newborns with protective antibodies to measles. Conclusion: in physiological pregnancy, transplacental transmission of IgG-antibodies to the measles virus is directly dependent on the presence of specific antibodies in a woman; in case of placental insufficiency, an imbalance in the system of angiogenic factors may promote disturbances of transmission mechanisms for IgG measles-specific antibodies from mother to the fetus
