Regional differentiation of human potential indicators

The purpose of the study presented in this article is an interregional analysis of human potential. The quality of the population proper is investigated at the regional level far less than the quality of the population life. The article provides an extended characteristic of human potential in seven directions: economic activity, demographic processes, physical health, the cultural potential of population, social health, educational potential, the attitude of population to the environment. On the basis of official statistics for 2008–2012, there were selected 63 indicators characterizing human potential in all these directions. In the final result, the correlation analysis has led to the substantiation of the system of indicators for the level of human potential development, consisting of 10 indicators. The system included 3 economic indicators and 7 social indicators characterizing human potential. Upon these indicators the Russian regions were divided in two types of regions by means of hierarchic agglomerative (combining) methods of cluster analysis: the regions with economic indicators and without them. The performed calculations provided the typology of regions by the human potential indicators being stable over time and covering 74.4 % of the Russian population. A substantial interpretation of breaking down regions by groups, identification of both strong and weak aspects of each cluster were made, finding out specific features of the regions falling under the clusters. The obtained results can be used when working out measures for reducing the interregional inequality in the levels of human potential development. To find out what measures can be effective, it is possible to examine the strategic directions of regions’ development in the cluster that is the most successful with respect to the human potential characteristics under investigation

Quantum Algorithmic Gate-Based Computing: Grover Quantum Search Algorithm Design in Quantum Software Engineering

The difference between classical and quantum algorithms (QA) is following: problem solved by QA is coded in the structure of the quantum operators. Input to QA in this case is always the same. Output of QA says which problem coded. In some sense, give a function to QA to analyze and QA returns its property as an answer without quantitative computing. QA studies qualitative properties of the functions. The core of any QA is a set of unitary quantum operators or quantum gates. In practical representation, quantum gate is a unitary matrix with particular structure. The size of this matrix grows exponentially with an increase in the number of inputs, which significantly limits the QA simulation on a classical computer with von Neumann architecture. Quantum search algorithm (QSA) - models apply for the solution of computer science problems as searching in unstructured data base, quantum cryptography, engineering tasks, control system design, robotics, smart controllers, etc. Grovers algorithm is explained in details along with implementations on a local computer simulator. The presented article describes a practical approach to modeling one of the most famous QA on classical computers, the Grover algorithm.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:quant-ph/0112105 by other author

Fast quantum search algorithm modelling on conventional computers: Information analysis of termination problem

The simplest technique for simulating a quantum algorithm - QA described based on the direct matrix representation of the quantum operators. Using this approach, it is relatively simple to simulate the operation of a QA and to perform fidelity analysis. A more efficient fast QA simulation technique is based on computing all or part of the operator matrices on an as needed current computational basis. Using this technique, it is possible to avoid storing all or part of the operator matrices. The compute on demand approach benefits from a study of the quantum operators, and their structure so that the matrix elements can be computed more efficiently. Effective simulation of Grover quantum search algorithm as example on computer with classical architecture is considered

Tunnelling series in terms of perturbation theory for quantum spin systems

    Get PDF
Considered is quantum tunnelling in anisotropic spin systems in a magnetic field perpendicular to the anisotropy axis. In the domain of small field the problem of calculating tunnelling splitting of energy levels is reduced to constructing the perturbatio n series with degeneracy, the order of degeneracy being proportional to a spin value. Partial summation of this series taking into account ''dangerous terms'' with small denominators is performed and the value of tunnelling splitting is calculated with allowance for the first correction with respect to a magnetic field.Comment: 7 pages, REVTeX 3.

Some evolutionary aspects of the binary stellar systems containing neutron star

The obvious lack of the binary stellar systems that contain neutron stars (NS) is observed at present. Partly it is caused by the fact that it is very difficult to detect neutron star in a binary system if this relativistic component does not manifest itself as a radio pulsar. Among 1879 pulsars that are listed in the ATNF pulsar catalogue, only 141 pulsars are known to be the companions in binary systems. Only 81 objects having median mass estimation of more than 0.2 MM_{\odot} constitute the binary systems with pulsars. Nevertheless, such systems should be much more numerous and their investigation is of the great interest because thier structure and evolution can certainly help in our understanding of many unique properties that are seen in some stars.Comment: Accepted to published in the Odessa Astronomical Publications, 2012, vol. 25/1, p.35-3
