    A Survey Paper on Ontology-Based Approaches for Semantic Data Mining

    Semantic Data Mining alludes to the information mining assignments that deliberately consolidate area learning, particularly formal semantics, into the procedure. Numerous exploration endeavors have validated the advantages of fusing area learning in information mining and in the meantime, the expansion of information building has enhanced the group of space learning, particularly formal semantics and Semantic Web ontology. Ontology is an explicit specification of conceptualization and a formal approach to characterize the semantics of information and data. The formal structure of ontology makes it a nature approach to encode area information for the information mining utilization. Here in Semantic information mining ontology can possibly help semantic information mining and how formal semantics in ontologies can be joined into the data mining procedure.     Iron oxide nanoparticles fabricated by electric explosion of wire: Focus on magnetic nanofluids

    Nanoparticles of iron oxides (MNPs) were prepared using the electric explosion of wire technique (EEW). The main focus was on the fabrication of de-aggregated spherical nanoparticles with a narrow size distribution. According to XRD the major crystalline phase was magnetite with an average diameter of MNPs, depending on the fraction. Further separation of air-dry EEW nanoparticles was performed in aqueous suspensions. In order to provide the stability of magnetite suspension in water, we found the optimum concentration of the electrostatic stabilizer (sodium citrate and optimum pH level) based on zeta-potential measurements. The stable suspensions still contained a substantial fraction of aggregates which were disintegrated by the excessive ultrasound treatment. The separation of the large particles out of the suspension was performed by centrifuging. The structural features, magnetic properties and microwave absorption of MNPs and their aqueous solutions confirm that we were able to obtain an ensemble in which the magnetic contributions come from the spherical MNPs. The particle size distribution in fractionated samples was narrow and they showed a similar behaviour to that expected of the superparamagnetic ensemble. Maximum obtained concentration was as high as 5 % of magnetic material (by weight). Designed assembly of de-aggregated nanoparticles is an example of on-purpose developed magnetic nanofluid.     Cytological detection of microfilaria in unsuspected clinical scenario

    Filariasis is a major public health problem in tropical countries, including India. Fine needle aspiration cytology plays an important role in prompt recognition of disease. Aim was to highlight the role of fine needle aspiration cytology as a simple and cost effective tool to detect microfilarial infestation. A retrospective study of 10 cases in which fine needle aspiration cytology was done and was useful in detecting microfilaria. Patient’s age were ranging from 19-62 years. M:F ratio being 7:3. Out of ten cases, maximum cases of microfilarial detection was reported in soft tissue swelling (four cases), followed by lymph node swelling (three cases), thyroid swelling (two cases) and breast swelling (one case). Careful screening of fine needle aspiration cytology smears is helpful in detecting microfilaria even in asymptomatic patients living in endemic zone which plays a significant role in recognition of disease and obviating severe manifestations of filariasis if treated in time

We follow the general approach of extracting the Green's matrix from the Green's matrix of the corresponding first order system.     Pattern of mortality in sickle cell disease: an autopsy study

    Background: Sickle haemoglobin is highly prevalent in western India. Sickle cell disease (SCD) is the generic term for the group of haemoglobinopathies caused by the occurrence of haemoglobin S (Hbs) in the homozygous form –sickle cell anaemia (Hbss) or as the heterozygous combination of Hbs with another abnormal haemoglobin such as Hbsc or beta –thalassaemias (Hbs b-thal). While doing autopsy in case of death with no apparent cause, the possibility of death may be due to vaso-occlusive crisis in sickle cell disease should be kept in mind. The findings at autopsy are variation of features which may or may not be directly connected to death. The goal is to draw awareness among physicians and relatives on need of autopsy as to minimize future unexpected death from complication or crisis and to enhance knowledge on both parties.Methods: This was a study of autopsy specimens received between January 2015 to December 2015 at tertiary care hospital.Results: Total of 679 autopsy cases were received, out of which sickled erythrocytes were detected in 25 cases. The mean age at death was 30 years, a male/female ratio of 1.5:1 and peak mortality was in the 2nd to 4th decades of life. The commonest presentation was sudden death. The cause of death in middle aged patients were vaso occlusive crisis, in paediatric patients were infection and in older patients were chronic organ damage.Conclusions: Early diagnosis, prompt treatment and extended screening programme are necessary in prevalent tribal belt of western India to reduce morbidity and mortality. we should also introduce awareness programmes in tribal belt of western India

    Endoscopic Proximal Adductor Lengthening for Chronic Adductor-Related Groin Pain

Various tenotomy techniques have been described including open, partial, and percutaneous approaches. Current techniques help most athletes return to sport; however, many develop adductor weakness. Moreover, the procedures lack full visualization of the tendon and do not allow for return to athletes’ preinjury level of play. We describe an endoscopic z-lengthening of the proximal adductor tendon with the potential to minimize complications associated with open procedures such as incisional pain and neurovascular injury while affording a more complete tenotomy than current percutaneous techniques. This is a safe and reproducible technique that allows for release of tension as a result of pathologic adductor tendon pathologies

    Cardiac diseases in pregnancy and its feto-maternal outcome

    Background: Cardiac disease complicates 1-3% of all pregnancies. Of this Rheumatic heart disease constitute 74% and congenital heart disease 26%.Methods: A retrospective study of all patients with cardiac diseases delivered was conducted. A tabulated representation of the data was done. The various cardiac diseases were categorized according the severity, NYHA classification, type of pathology, the maternal and perinatal outcome was assessed, and the maternal mortality and perinatal mortality was recorded.Results: 84% patients belonged to age group 20-29 years. 8% were teen aged and 4% patients were elderly. 64% patients were either P0+0 or P0+1. 8% patients were P0+3 and 2% patient were P3+0. 74% patients had RHD. 26% had grade I, 40% had grade II, 20% patients had grade III and 14% had grade IV heart disease. The associated complications were anemia 46%, Respiratory tract infection 12%, pregnancy induced hypertension 2% and recurrent rheumatic fever 2%. 48% had normal vaginal delivery, 20% had forceps delivery and 32% had caesarean delivery. One mother died of heart failure. All patients of grade I (100%) had term delivery. 23.07% of grade I, 30% of grade II, 60% of grade III and 100% babies of grade IV mothers were of low birth weight (˂2.5 kg). Babies weighing ˂1.5 kg were seen in 5% grade II, 10% grade III and 42.85% mothers with grade IV disease. 2 of grade IV and each of grade I, II and III died.Conclusions: Feto-maternal outcome can be improved with close supervision of obstetrician and cardiologist throughout the pregnancy by antenatal care, early diagnosis and management

    Carbon nanospheres mediated delivery of nuclear matrix protein SMAR 1 to direct experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis in mice

    Owing to the suppression of immune responses and associated side effects, steroid based treatments for inflammatory encephalitis disease can be detrimental. Here, we demonstrate a novel carbon nanosphere (CNP) based treatment regime for encephalomyelitis in mice by exploiting the functional property of the nuclear matrix binding protein SMAR1. A truncated part of SMAR1 ie, the DNA binding domain was conjugated with hydrothermally synthesized CNPs. When administered intravenously, the conjugate suppressed experimental animal encephalomyelitis in T cell specific conditional SMAR1 knockout mice (SMAR-/-). Further, CNP-SMAR1 conjugate delayed the onset of the disease and reduced the demyelination significantly. There was a significant decrease in the production of IL-17 after re-stimulation with MOG. Altogether, our findings suggest a potential carbon nanomaterial based therapeutic intervention to combat Th17 mediated autoimmune diseases including experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis
