Method for obtaining ingots of the A34 solder based on an investigation into the relation between the structure and properties of liquid and solid metals
A comparative analysis of the influence of the modifying method on the structure and phase composition of the ingots of the A34 solder is performed. Modification is performed by force of heating the melt to 1000°C and introducing the fine-crystalline remelt in an amount of 5% of the charge amount into the melt. The investigation is performed using DTA and metallographic analysis. The structure of the ingot of the A34 solder is additionally investigated at elevated temperatures (150 and 300°C) by the sc-AFM method using the NTEGRA Therma probe nanolaboratory, and recommendations are given to optimize the modes of casting and thermal treatment. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc
On Possible Measurement of Gravitational Interaction Parameters on Board a Satellite
The recently suggested SEE (Satellite Energy Exchange) method of measuring
the gravitational constant , possible equivalence principle violation
(measured by the E\"{o}tv\"{o}s parameter ) and the hypothetic 5th force
parameters and on board a drag-free Earth's satellite is
discussed and further developed. Various particle trajectories near a heavy
ball are numerically simulated. Some basic sources of error are analysed. The
measurement procedure is modelled by noise insertion to a ``true''
trajectory. It is concluded that the present knowledge of (for
m) and can be improved by at least two orders of

THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF LIVING LIVER FRAGMENT DONORS
Quality of Life is a new promising area of clinical medicine that provides the opportunity to assess the state of health of the patient using the data stored across a joint professional approach of physicians and subjective point of view of patients. Review of the data of foreign and domestic literature on quality of life of living donor liver transplantation is done. A method for evaluating quality of life of the most commonly used questionnaires in the study of quality of life is described. The article deals with the history of the study of the quality of life in medical practice. Research results into the quality of life of living donor liver transplantation conducted in different countries are presented. Factors affecting the change in the quality of life of living donor liver transplantation are shown
Hall helps Ohm: some corrections to negative-U centers approach to transport properties of YBaCuO and LaSrCuO
For broad oxygen and strontium doping ranges, temperature dependences
(T-dependences) of the normal state resistivity \rho(T) of YBa_2Cu_3O_x (YBCO)
and La_(2-x)Sr_xCuO_4 (LSCO) are calculated and compared to experiments. Holes
transport was taken in the \tau-approximation, where \tau(T,\epsilon) is due to
acoustic phonons. Besides, T-dependence of the chemical potential \mu(T) and
effective carrier mass m* ~10-100 free electron masses, obtained by negative-U
centers modelling the T-dependence of the Hall coefficient, were used to
calculate \rho(T). In addition, it is demonstrated that anisotropy of the
cuprates does not affect the calculated T-variation of neither Hall coefficient
nor \rho, but only rescale their magnitudes by factors depending on
combinations of m_ab and m_c.Comment: 4th International Conference Fundamental Problems of High-Temperature

Experimental study of direct photon emission in K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay using ISTRA+ detector
The branching ratio in the charged-pion kinetic energy region of 55 to 90 MeV
for the direct photon emission in the K- --> pi- pi0 gamma decay has been
measured using in-flight decays detected with the ISTRA+ setup operating in the
25 GeV/c negative secondary beam of the U-70 PS. The value
Br(DE)=[0.37+-0.39(stat)+-0.10(syst)]*10^(-5) obtained from the analysis of 930
completely reconstructed events is consistent with the average value of two
stopped-kaon experiments, but it differs by 2.5 standard deviations from the
average value of three in-flight-kaon experiments. The result is also compared
with recent theoretical predictions.Comment: 13 pages, 8 figure
