    A new chlorine-free method for the synthesis of 8,9,12-Cl3-1,2-C2B10H9, including autoclave heating for 12 h in carbon tetrachloride in the presence of aluminum chloride at 140-150 °C has been suggested. The presence of 8-CHCl2-9,12-Cl2-1,2-C2B10H9 in the reaction mixture has also been detected by GLC. Deborination of 8,9,12-Cl3-1,2-C2B10H9 and 8-CHCl2-9,12-Cl2-1,2-C2B10H9 by alkali alcohol solution leads to nido-structures isolated as salts Me4N+[1,5, 6-Cl3-7,8-C2B9H9]- and Me4N+[1-CHCl2-5,6-Cl2-7,8-C2B9H9]- with yields of 41% and 39%, respectively.Предложен новый метод синтеза 8,9,12-Cl3-1,2-C2B10H9 в автоклаве в среде четыреххлористого углерода в присутствии хлористого алюминия при температуре 140-150 °С без использования хлора за 12 ч. В результате реакции методом ГЖХ зафиксировано соединение 8-CHCl2-9,12-Cl2-1,2-C2B10H9. Деборирование 8,9,12-Cl3-1,2-C2B10H9 и 8-CHCl2-9,12-Cl2-1,2-C2B10H9 в щелочном растворе спирта приводит к нидо-структурам, выделенным в виде солей Me4N+[1,5,6-Cl3-7,8-C2B9H9]- и Me4N+[1-CHCl2-5,6-Cl2-7,8-C2B9H9]- с выходом 41 и 39% соответственно

    Application of FT-IR spectroscopy for determination of clarithromycin in pharmaceuticals

    Method for the qualitative and quantitative assessment of clarithromycin – macrolide antibiotic – in pharmaceutical formulations was developed by using Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) transmission spectroscopy for quality control. The calibration model was developed based on simple Beer's law using the FT-IR carbonyl region (C=O) from 1,750 to 1,675 cm ?1 . Statistical analysis of the results was developed by using TQ Analyst program and based on the least square method. The good coefficient of determination was achieved R 2 = 0.9973. Recovery was achieved from 98 to 106%. The method based on the FT-IR spectroscopy for the quantitative analysis of clarithromycin in pharmaceutical formulations is a fast and promising technique

    Single plant selection using complex of seed quality traits requires development and optimization of the methods, which allow qualitative and quantitative analysis applying minimum quantity of seeds. The proposed evaluation scheme of seed composition enables optimal use of seed material for individual plant analysis: oil percentage (Rushkovsky’s extraction method), fatty acid composition (vaporliquid chromatography), protein and ash content (dynamic thermogravimetry), elemental composition (electron probe X-ray fluorescence method). Reproducibility of analytical methods used was assessed by the coefficient of variation, the reproducibility index (ARI) and the convergence of data on seasonal cultivation
