Results of a search for 2-decay of Xe with high-pressure copper proportional counters in Baksan Neutrino Observatory
The experiment for the 2-decay of Xe search with two
high-pressure copper proportional counters has been held in Baksan neutrino
observatory. The search for the process is based on comparison of spectra
measured with natural and enriched xenon. No evidence has been found for
2(2)- and 2(0)-decay. The decay half lifetime limit
based on data measured during 8000 h is Tyr for
2-mode and Tyr for 0-mode (90%C.L.).Comment: 9 pages, 8 figures; talk at the NANP'05 Conference; submitted to

Influence of carbon and nitrogen on electronic structure and hyperfine interactions in fcc iron-based alloys
Carbon and nitrogen austenites, modeled by Fe8N and Fe8C superstructures are
studied by full-potential LAPW method. Structure parameters, electronic and
magnetic properties as well as hyperfine interaction parameters are obtained.
Calculations prove that Fe-C austenite can be successfully modeled by ordered
Fe8C superstructure. The results show that chemical Fe-C bond in Fe8C has
higher covalent part than in Fe8N. Detailed analysis of electric field gradient
formation for both systems is performed. The calculation of electric field
gradient allow us to carry out a good interpretation of Moessbauer spectra for
Fe-C and Fe-N systems.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, IOP-style LaTeX, submitted to J. Phys. Condens.

Culural parameters effect of biosynthesis of proteolytic enzyme complexes from Yarrowia lipolytica
It was established, that production of proteolytic enzymes from yeasts is effected by sources of Carbon, Nitrogen and energy. The impact of different organic substances to proteo-, fibrino-, gelatine- and haemoglobinolytic enzyme activity from Yarrowia lipoytica 2061 is established. Positive effect of addition galactose and gelatin with glycine in cultural liquid is revealed. Optimal temperature, pH and other physical parameters for getting proteolityc enzyme complexes is defined
Next stage of search for 2K(2)-capture of Kr
A technique to search for 2K-capture of Kr with large low-background
proportional counter filled with an enriched in Kr up to 99.8% sample of
Krypton at a pressure of 4.51 is described in this paper. The results of first
measurements are presented. Analysis of data collected during 159 hours yielded
new limit to the half-life of Kr with regard to 2K-capture
(T yr (90% C.L.)). Sensitivity of the facility to the
process for one year of measurement was evaluated to be
yr (90% C.L.).Comment: 4 pages, 5 figures; talk at the NANP'05 Conference; submitted to

First Results from the AMoRE-Pilot neutrinoless double beta decay experiment
The Advanced Molybdenum-based Rare process Experiment (AMoRE) aims to search
for neutrinoless double beta decay (0) of Mo with
100 kg of Mo-enriched molybdenum embedded in cryogenic detectors
with a dual heat and light readout. At the current, pilot stage of the AMoRE
project we employ six calcium molybdate crystals with a total mass of 1.9 kg,
produced from Ca-depleted calcium and Mo-enriched molybdenum
(CaMoO). The simultaneous detection of
heat(phonon) and scintillation (photon) signals is realized with high
resolution metallic magnetic calorimeter sensors that operate at milli-Kelvin
temperatures. This stage of the project is carried out in the Yangyang
underground laboratory at a depth of 700 m. We report first results from the
AMoRE-Pilot search with a 111 kgd live exposure of
CaMoO crystals. No evidence for
decay of Mo is found, and a upper limit is set for the
half-life of 0 of Mo of y at 90% C.L.. This limit corresponds to an effective
Majorana neutrino mass limit in the range eV
