    Dynamical generation of interwoven soliton trains by nonlinear emission in binary Bose-Einstein condensates

    We propose a method for the generation of trains of alternating bright solitons in two-component Bose-Einstein condensates, using controlled emission of nonlinear matter-waves in the uncoupled regime with spatially-varying intra-species interaction and out-of-phase oscillations of the ground states in the trap. Under this scheme, solitons are sequentially launched from the different components, and interact with each other through phase-independent cross-coupling. We obtain an analytical estimation of the critical condition for soliton emission using a geometric guiding model, in analogy with integrated optical systems. In addition, we show how strong initial perturbations in the system can trigger the spontaneous generation of supersolitons, i.e. localized phonon-like excitations of the soliton trains. Finally, we demonstrate the controllable generation of slow and fast supersolitons by adding external localized potentials in the nonlinear region

    Survey on Encryption Techniques in Delay and Disruption Tolerant Network

    Delay and disruption tolerant network (DTN) is used for long area communication in computer network, where there is no direct connection between the sender and receiver and there was no internet facility. Delay tolerant network generally perform store and forward techniques as a result intermediate node can view the message, the possible solution is using encryption techniques to protect the message. Starting stages of DTN RSA, DES, 3DES encryption algorithms are used but now a day\u27s attribute based encryption (ABE) techniques are used. Attribute based encryption technique can be classified in to two, key policy attribute based encryption (KPABE) and cipher policy attribute based encryption (CPABE). In this paper we perform a categorized survey on different encryption techniques presents in delay tolerant networks. This categorized survey is very helpful for researchers to propose modified encryption techniques. Finally the paper compares the performance and effectiveness of different encryption algorithms

    OXIDATIVE STRESS IN ACNE VULGARIS

    Objective: Acne vulgaris is a common dermatological disease characterized by sebaceous hyperplasia, follicular hyperkeratinization, Immune reactions, and Inflammation. Our study aims to determine the role of oxidative stress in the pathogenesis of acne vulgaris. Methods: 35 acne patients and 35 healthy people were selected and their serum levels of superoxide dismutase SOD and Malondialdehyde MDA were estimated and the results are compared with the control group. Also, the relationship between the duration and severity of acne with the parameters is assessed. Results: The activity of SOD is found to be decreased and the level of MDA is found to be increased in acne patients compared to healthy people, suggesting increased oxidative stress in Acne vulgaris patients. Conclusion: Our study concludes that oxidative stress plays a role in the pathogenesis of Acne vulgaris and antioxidants can be used as a part of treatment.

    Empirical Analysis on Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP): Puberty and Menstrual Hygiene

    Puberty and menstruation bring major physical and mental changes in a girl’s life; they mark the beginning of procreation. In many countries lackof knowledge and poor hygienic practices during menstruation lead to serious illness ranging from genital tract infections and urinary tract infections to bad odor. This study on Knowledge Attitude and Practice (KAP) aims to understand the awareness level of menstrual health and hygiene among adolescent girls, and the study also focuses on identifying the average age of attaining menarche among early adolescent girls and the problems associated with menstruation. To meet the above objective, a sample of 187 responses was collected by using questionnaires. The various statistical tools that have been used are Reliability Test, Correlation, Chi-square, and Linear Regression analysis. According to the study, most early adolescent girls attain menarche at an early age, and so it is necessary to educate school children about health and hygiene practices during menstruation. Mothers and teachers should educate adolescent girls about hygienic practices and remove the social stigma surrounding menstruation. This paper also covers the feminist view on menstruation which affects women, girls, and non-binary and transgender people across the world. It is an issue that intersects with race, class, culture, and religion and therefore has the power to engage us in a global effort towards equality

    Photorefractive polymeric solitons

    We show the existence of photorefractive polymeric solitons in a bulk photorefractive polymer. We also show the existence of incoherently coupled two dimensional soliton pairs under steady state condition. The soliton pairs can exist under the condition that the two beams are mutually incoherent and have the same wavelength and polarization. The system was studied using the variational method and the result so obtained was analyzed using the finite-difference Beam Propagation method. Stable propagation of the soliton beam through the medium was observed

    Integration of Multitargeted Polymer-Based Contrast Agents with Photoacoustic Computed Tomography: An Imaging Technique to Visualize Breast Cancer Intratumor Heterogeneity

    One of the primary challenges in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment is intratumor heterogeneity (ITH), i.e., the coexistence of different genetically and epigenetically distinct malignant cells within the same tumor. Thus, the identification of ITH is critical for designing better treatments and hence to increase patient survival rates. Herein, we report a noninvasive hybrid imaging technology that integrates multitargeted and multiplexed patchy polymeric photoacoustic contrast agents (MTMPPPCAs) with single-impulse panoramic photoacoustic computed tomography (SIP-PACT). The target specificity ability of MTMPPPCAs to distinguish estrogen and progesterone receptor-positive breast tumors was demonstrated through both fluorescence and photoacoustic measurements and validated by tissue pathology analysis. This work provides the proof-of-concept of the MTMPPPCAs/SIP-PACT system to identify ITH in nonmetastatic tumors, with both high molecular specificity and real-time detection capability

    Evaporation residue cross-section measurements for O 16 + Tl 203,205

    Evaporation residue cross sections for the 16O+203,205Tl reactions were measured at laboratory beam energies in the range of 82–113 MeV using a gas-filled separator. Transmission efficiency of the separator was estimated using a calibration reaction 16O+197Au and by simulating the evaporation residues angular distributions. Statistical model calculations were performed for both the measured systems. These calculations overestimate the experimental evaporation residue cross sections. This could be attributed to the presence of noncompound nuclear fission. An estimation of noncompound nuclear fission contribution was carried out. Comparison with neighboring systems shows that a slight change in the entrance channel or the compound nucleus properties makes a large difference in evaporation residue cross sections

    The India brain infections guidelines project: Global evidence for local application.

    Background Brain infections are a major cause of morbidity and mortality globally. India lacks systematically evidence-informed guidelines for brain infections. Methods We had set up a group of experts in brain infections, evidence synthesis and guideline development to produce guidelines for hospital clinicians diagnosing and treating patients with suspected and confirmed brain infections in India. Questions are being drafted and prioritised, and a plan for GRADE-informed evidence synthesis and guideline development is in place, using methods to increase efficiency of the process where possible. Dissemination and outputs The guidelines will be disseminated through publication as well as on a dedicated website. Training of clinicians in evidence synthesis and guideline development, and setting up a network of institutions and professional societies, will provide lasting impact in terms of national capacity strengthening
