The Legal Doctrine and Legal Policy Aspects of the EU-Accession
The author deals with an important question of the Hungarian constitutional law, which plays a relevant role during the accession process of a state of the European Union (EU). It means that the question of legal haromization always arises, when a state is going to join the EU. The author focuses on the question, whether the international law-namely the law of the EU-or the national law should be privileged in given cases. The author introduces the possible conflicts between international law and domestic law with the help of several examples. He refers to the numerous solutions of member-states of the EU and also mentions the situation of some would-be member-states, too. The author highlights the point of view that the Community law precedes the constitutions of the member-states. As a result of this the Hungarian constitution has to be modified in order to meet the requirements of the legal harmonization process, which will emerge with the access of Hungary to the EU
The base of the Curionii Zone (Ladinian, Triassic) in Felsőörs (Hungary): improved correlation with the Global Stratotype Section
Abstract
Recent excavation and sampling in the upper part of the Felsőörs section (Balaton Highland, Hungary) yielded important ammonoid findings, identified as belonging to the genera Nevadites, Chieseiceras, Eoprotrachyceras and Falsanolcites. Several specimens of Chieseiceras chiesense were found in a dm-thick clay layer with limestone nodules, regarded as the equivalent of the “Chiesense Groove“ of the Bagolino and other sections in the Giudicarie area (North Italy). The immediately overlying limestone bed yielded Eoprotrachyceras cf. curionii and Falsanolcites cf. rieberi. Together these reliably prove the base of the Curionii Zone, corresponding to the base of the Ladinian Stage, the GSSP of which was recently established at Bagolino. The new data further improved the excellent correlation between the ammonoid records of the Felsőörs section and the Global Stratotype Section at Bagolino. Felsőörs may be considered the most important reference section for the Anisian to Ladinian boundary interval

A Lisszaboni Szerződés hatása a magyar jogrendszerre = The impact of the Lisbon Treaty on Hungarian legal order
A projekt cĂ©lja az Lisszaboni SzerzĹ‘dĂ©s hatásainak átfogĂł elemzĂ©se volt. A kutatás három fĹ‘ terĂĽlet vizsgálatára helyezte a hangsĂşlyt. Az elsĹ‘ tĂ©makörön belĂĽl (a SzerzĹ‘dĂ©s horizontális aspektusai) a kutatás Ă©rintette az EU-jog Ă©s a magyar jog viszonyát, az EU Ăşj hatásköri struktĂşráját, az alapjogok EU-jogon belĂĽli státuszát, valamint olyan aktuális intĂ©zmĂ©nyi jogi kĂ©rdĂ©seket, mint az EU Ăşj vezetĂ©si modell Ă©s az uniĂłs elnöksĂ©g. A kutatásunk második iránya (jogegysĂ©gesĂtĂ©s Ă©s a jogharmonizáciĂł egyes lehetĹ‘sĂ©gei) elsĹ‘sorban a nemzetközi magánjogi szabályozás fragmentáltságát, valamint az uniĂłs szabályozáson belĂĽl a jogegysĂ©gesĂtĂ©s esĂ©lyeit, lehetĹ‘sĂ©geit helyezte az elemzĂ©s közĂ©ppontjába. A harmadik tĂ©makörön belĂĽl (EU-politikák) nagy hangsĂşlyt kaptak a az uniĂłs kĂĽlkapcsolatok alapelvi, cĂ©l- Ă©s Ă©rtĂ©kstruktĂşráját, a közös kereskedelempolitika reformját Ă©s a fiskális Ă©s monetáris uniĂłs aktuális kĂ©rdĂ©seit Ă©rintĹ‘ elemzĂ©sek. A nĂ©gyĂ©ves kutatás legfontosabb eredmĂ©nye az eurĂłpai uniĂłs Ă©s magyar jog viszonyának tárgyában megjelentetett monográfia (Vörös I.: CsoportkĂ©p LaokoĂłnnal. | The aim of the project was a comprehensive analysis of the impacts of the Treaty of Lisbon. Within the first main topic (horizontal impacts of the Treaty) analyses were carried out on the relationship between EU law and Hungarian Law; the new competence structure of the EU; the fundamental rights in the EU legal order; as well as current institutional questions. The second aspect (new prospects in the field of legal unification and the approximation of laws) focused on the fragmentation of private international law, and the chances of a possible unification of the numerous EU provisions. The third topic (policies of EU) attached high importance to the aims, principles, and values of the EU external policies, the reform of the common commercial policy, as well as the current issues of the fiscal and monetary policy of the European Union. The most important result of our four-year research was a monograph on the relationship between EU and Hungarian Law (Vörös I.: CsoportkĂ©p LaokoĂłnnal. A magyar jog Ă©s az alkotmánybĂráskodás vĂvĂłdása az eurĂłpai joggal. [Tableau with Laokoon. Struggle of the Hungarian Legal System and of the Constitutional Courts with EU Law]), and a collection of essays (Az eurĂłpai uniĂłs jogfejlĹ‘dĂ©s irányai a Lisszaboni SzerzĹ‘dĂ©s után [Tendencies of the European Legal Development after the Treaty of Lisbon], Eds.: Vörös I. - Horváthy B.). Besides several articles were published during the research; we held three workshops and one international conference
