The bidual unit ball BX∗∗ of a Banach space X∗∗ in its weak star topology is a uniform Eberlein compact if and only if X admits a weakly uniformly rotund norm. In this case X admits a locally uniformly rotund and Fréchet differentiable norm. An Eberlein compact K is a uniform Eberlein compact if and only if C(K) admits a uniformly Gˆateaux differentiable norm

A note on lattice renormings

summary:It is shown that every strongly lattice norm on $c_0(\Gamma)$ can be approximated by $C^\infty$ smooth norms. We also show that there is no lattice and G\^ateaux differentiable norm on $C_0[0,\omega_1]$

Cílem projektu byla kritická edice (komentovaný přepis) německého popisu liberecké stavby Božího hrobu z roku 1772 (Gruendliche Beschreibung ...in der Stadt Reichenberg Buntzlauer Creyses neuerbauten Heiligen Grabes, Prag 1772), dále překlad tohoto textu do češtiny a historický komentář ve formě studie. Doprovodnými materiály se měl stát soubor dobových i současných vyobrazení Božího hrobu, soupis pro téma relevantních archivních pramenů a regionální i odborné (obecné) literatury

Dendrochronological data from twelve countries proved definite growth response of black alder (Alnus glutinosa [L.] Gaertn.) to climate courses across its distribution range

Black alder (Alnus glutinosa [L.] Gaertn.) is an important component of riparian and wetland ecosystems in Europe. However, data on the growth of this significant broadleaved tree species is very limited. Presently, black alder currently suffers from the pathogen Phytophthora and is particularly threatened by climate change. The objective of this study was to focus on the impact of climatic variables (precipitation, temperature, extreme climatic events) on the radial growth of alder across its geographic range during the period 1975–2015. The study of alder stands aged 46–108 years was conducted on 24 research plots in a wide altitude range (85–1015 m) in 12 countries of Europe and Asia. The most significant months affecting alder radial growth were February and March, where air temperatures are more significant than precipitation. Heavy frost and extreme weather fluctuations in the first quarter of the year were the main limiting factors for diameter increment. Within the geographical setting, latitude had a higher effect on radial growth compared to longitude. However, the most important variable concerning growth parameters was altitude. The temperature’s effect on the increment was negative in the lowlands and yet turned to positive with increasing altitude. Moreover, growth sensitivity to precipitation significantly decreased with the increasing age of alder stands. In conclusion, the growth variability of alder and the number of negative pointer years increased with time, which was caused by the ongoing climate change and also a possible drop in the groundwater level. Riparian alder stands well supplied with water are better adapted to climatic extremes compared to plateau and marshy sites

Monitoring of stability conditions of mine´s ČSA lateral hillsides

Import 01/09/2009Při hornické činnosti a těžbě nerostů docházelo vždy k nehodám a haváriím, kterým nelze zabránit. Tato skutečnost stále dodnes vyvolává potřebu předcházet neštěstím přijímáním různých bezpečnostních opatření. V podmínkách povrchové těžby na lokalitě ČSA se jedná především o problémy s předchozím hlubinným dobýváním a bezprostředním sousedstvím s masivem Krušných hor. Proto byl vybudován systém monitorovacích stanic a bodů, pro zjišťování potenciálních pohybů bočních svahů lomu. Práce je zaměřena na tento monitorovací systém. Popisuje primární důvody jeho zbudování a postupnou změnu jeho využívání až k přechodu automatizace sledování pohybů. Zaměřuje se rovněž na jednotlivé komponenty systému, jako jsou monitorovací body, stanice, výpočetní techniku a měřené hodnoty. Na závěr práce hodnotí dosavadní činnost, posuzuje další rozmístění monitorovacích míst a hovoří o budoucnosti systému s předpokládaným ukončením těžby.During mining activities and minerals extraction always happens incidents and disasters that can´t be inhibited. This fact to the present days induces need to prevent disasters by accepting various protective arrangements. In conditions of strip mining on ČSA locality it concerns first of all about problems of past underground extraction and direct proximity of Krušne Mountains massif. That´s why the network of monitoring stations and points has been built for detection of mine lateral hillsides´ movements. The disertation is focused on this monitoring network. It describes primal reasons for its building and progressive change its usage till transition to automation in observing movements. It´s also focused on particular components of network as are monitoring points and stations, computer technology and datas outputs. Analysis and Optimization of Websites Using Google Analytics

Import 02/11/2016Diplomová práce se věnuje důkladnému popisu služby pro správu a vylepšení webového obsahu – Google Analytics. Následným metodám využití a uplatnění tohoto nástroje při analýze a optimalizaci webové stránky. V první části je kladen důraz na pochopení a význam využití. Navazuje část, která je zaměřena na aktivaci a správné nastavení služby. Především podrobnější úpravy procesu měření a dalších funkcí. V práci jsou použity aktualizované informace o asynchronní syntaxi. Také přináší vlastní pohled na využití Google Analytics při online podnikání. Nejdříve je představena obecná rovina webové analytiky V praktické části je podroben web i-kvetiny.cz důkladné analýze obsahové a technické stránky. Následně se věnuje konkrétnímu nastavení měřícího kódu pro tyto internetové stránky. V poslední kapitole jsou navržena doporučení a opatření pro dosažení stanovených cílů firmy za správného použití tohoto nástroje.The thesis is devoted to a thorough description of the service to manage and enhance Web content - Google Analytics. Subsequent methods of use and application of this tool in analyzing and optimizing a website. In the first part the emphasis is on understanding the meaning and usage. Following part is focused on the activation and correct settings. Particularly detailed adjustment process measurement and other functions. The work uses updated information on asynchronous syntax. Also brings its own view on the use of Google Analytics in online business. First, it introduced a general level web analytics In the practical part is subjected to a thorough analysis i-kvetiny.cz web content and technical aspects. Subsequently deals with the particular setup of the code for the site.
