The basin approach to the anthropogenic impact assessment in oil-producing region
© SGEM2014 All Rights Reserved. Basin approach used to estimate impact of oil and gas industry on the environment and to develop solutions for natural resources optimization on the study territory. The main objective was to find effective methods of analyzing spatial and temporal patterns of geosystems functioning under strong anthropogenic pressure. The complexity of natural systems and the need to integrate large number of factors required the use of modern methods of geoinformatics, information technology, mathematical and cartographic modeling. 713 watersheds of 2-3 orders allocated in the region of JSC "Tatneft" for the purpose of spatial analysis. Weighted scores method with extensive involvement of GIS spatial analysis used for an integrated anthropogenic disturbance assessment within the elementary basins. As a result, "Map of cumulative anthropogenic impact" and "Integral environmental assessment map" were built. "Map of cumulative anthropogenic impact" allows through the selected parameters to identify the impacts caused by agricultural activity and "Integral environmental assessment map" – oil and gas industry impact on the environment. A technique for quantifying of different sectors of the economy contribution to human impact on the certain components of the landscape realized by the example of forest vegetation. Methods of forest separating fragmentation by road network (transport) and linear facilities of the oil industry study allowed evaluating of their contribution to overall level of human impact

What should be done for the transport in XXI century, in order that it meets more and more innovative expectations of consumers? Do you believe that in the near future there will be commuter trains- planes, intercontinental overland routes, and the speed of our travels over the ground steps over 1000 km per hour? On the pages of this not fiction book together with the authors we can try to answer the most daring questions, to broaden own attitudes, to get acquainted with breakthrough transport projects and everyday working hypotheses based on actual engineering and economic calculations. ABSTRACT OF THE REVIEW. The reviewer argues that the form of the presentation chosen by the authors allows to save a flexible boundary between dream-fantasy and a real prospect of development of terrestrial transport, that the book chapters are indeed solid sections, where in the first case five hypotheses (chapters) are put, the second subtitle «Philosopher’s vision for the future» indicates sixteen directions and profiles of the industry development in the global and national context, and in the third, «The future starts today» the innovative trends and future projects are assessed. In the third chapter (the final chapter), according to the authors, «only a few projects from the world of innovative collection are offered» (p. 178). But they, it should be immediately noted, will certainly be of interest to the reader, since they combine the past and the future of rail transport. The reviewer summing up his impressions, notes integrative and comprehensive features of the book. Written by two doctors of science, it drew the attention not only by uncommon construction of content and form, but also by a deep knowledge of the material. Evaluation of Erosion Intensity and Dynamics Using Terrestrial Laser Scanning
© 2018, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. A new method of instrumental measurement of the intensity of rill and linear erosion on slopes by the method of terrestrial laser scanning is proposed. This method was tested on four plots in 2012–2016 with the use of Trimble™ GX, Trimble™ VX, and Trimble™ TX8 laser scanners. The terrestrial laser scanning is characterized by a high precision and rapidity, which could not be previously achieved by other devices. It has a number of advantages: registration of various types of erosion of temporary water streams; measurements from a distance without the disturbance of the studied surface and providing the safety of works; and calculations of morphometric parameters of slope using a high-precision digital model of topography. The given examples show that this approach may be applied to assess the denudation-accumulative balance of the moved soil material on slopes, to determine the dynamics of amount of deposits on different parts of a slope as a result of different kinds of surface runoff, and to identify spatial regularities of the formation of the network of rills and gullies. In addition, laser scanning makes it possible to perform an integral assessment of the combined impact of the entire combination of exogenous processes developed on slopes and affecting the soil cover. The observations on test plots showed a rather great role of autumn rains in the total soil loss from erosion. The data obtained were used as the basis for the elaboration of practical recommendations concerning the survey organization and monitoring of erosion with the use of laser scanning
Assessment of impactson geosystems in oil production region

All rights reserved.This article presentsa sample assessment of contribution of several impact sources to the groundwater condition in the intensive oil production region (PJSC Tatneft) (Tatarstan, Russia). The method proposed is designed to minimize the subjectivity of the assessment and permits to derive the map of a man made impact on the groundwater. The use of river basins is argued as a main spatial unit for characterization of the anthropogenic impact and the environment state due to its scalability properties. Proposed combination of GIS technologies, spatial analysis and statistical approach makes it possible not only to quantify the human impact on the environment, but also to determine the contribution of individual industries as well as to evaluate the quality of the assessment
The basin approach and mapping to the anthropogenic impact assessment on the east of the russian plain
© Research India Publications. The given paper considers the methodological aspects of the Atlas mapping for the purposes of Sustainable Development in the regions of Russia. Requirements for the Atlas’s structure and content were outlined. The approaches to mapping of "an ecological dominant" of Sustainable Development conceptually substantiated following the pattern of a large region of Russia. The Atlas proposed to be developed, can be considered by its spatial scope as the regional one and by the content as the fundamental complex science-reference mapping guide which characterizes the environment situation in the east of Tatarstan, the conditions and factors that determine it, the tendencies to the change of the ecological state in the territory and in the centers, the measures to reach an ecological equilibrium. Assessment of the intensity of slope erosion using terrestrial laser scanning

Despite the fact that there are a number of methods of studying exogenous processes,such as assessment of intensity by rill wash,pins method,radioactive tracer method,the problem of quantitative assessment of erosion intensity in various sections of a temporary hydrographic net remains still unsettled. Terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) allows overcoming the difficulties associated with low productivity and accuracy of traditional methods. Operations on erosion intensity assessment were carried out on two key sites within the city of Kazan in 2013-2015,and on two sites in Vysokogorsky district of Kazan in 2015. The results of the measurements show the predominance of erosion (-37.69 m3/ha on the first and -86.53 m3/ha on the second key site) on the slope in Kazan and the predominance of accumulation (53.45 m3/ha on the first and 71.66 m3/ha on the second key area) in Vysokogorsky district of Kazan. The results obtained suggest the possibility of applying the TLS for a quantitative and qualitative assesment of the intensity of denudation,and determination of the process flow patterns. The method allows evaluating integrally the cumulative effect of the entire complex of exogenous processes,flowing on the slopes
