With this project, it was aimed to determine the effects of industrial pollution on sheep tissues, their parasites (cyst hydatic) and their feedstuffs, soil and water samples. No differences were detected in the dry vegetation, soil and water cadmium levels among the locations. Average level of Copper (Cu) in dry vegetation and soil samples collected in the areas 20 km far from industrial region was found to be higher when compared with the samples collected from 5. ve 3. km far from industrial areas. However, Cu level was found to be under detectable limits in the water. Mean lead concentrations of the green vegetation samples collected from the closest location was twice as high as those of samples collected from other areas, however, there was no significant difference. It was determined that accumulation of lead in soils collected from 3 consecutive areas close by the plants were significantly higher than that of control area (p<0,05). Zinc concentrations in vegetation samples in industrialized area were similar. In contrast, zinc levels of soil samples in the closest and farest area were significantly higher than those in the middle (p<0,05). In response to the analysed data, it was determined that Cu, Pb and Zn concentrations in tissue and cyst hydatic were significantly related

The sulfonamide functional group has aroused interest in both medicinal and bioorganic chemistry. In this study, some new phenylselanyl-1-(toluene-4-sulfonyl)-1H-tetrazole derivatives (2a-f) have been synthesized using dicyclohexylcarbodiimide/dimethylaminopyridine (DCC/DMAP). The structures of the presently synthesized compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic methods [Fourier-transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), (13)C nuclear magnetic resonance-attached proton test ((13)C NMR-APT), and mass spectrometry (MS)]. In addition, the antimicrobial activity of the synthesized compounds and two antibiotics [sulfamethoxazole (SMX) and sulfamerazine (SRZ)] were investigated against some microorganisms
