Field dependent nilpotent symmetry for gauge theories
We construct the field dependent mixed BRST (combination of BRST and
anti-BRST) transformations for pure gauge theories. These are shown to be an
exact nilpotent symmetry of both the effective action as well as the generating
functional for certain choices of the field dependent parameters. We show that
the Jacobian contributions for path integral measure in the definition of
generating functional arising from BRST and anti-BRST part compensate each
other. The field dependent mixed BRST transformations are also considered in
field/antifield formulation to show that the solutions of quantum master
equation remain invariant under these. Our results are supported by several
explicit examples.Comment: 25 pages, No figures, Revte
QIP = PSPACE
We prove that the complexity class QIP, which consists of all problems having
quantum interactive proof systems, is contained in PSPACE. This containment is
proved by applying a parallelized form of the matrix multiplicative weights
update method to a class of semidefinite programs that captures the
computational power of quantum interactive proofs. As the containment of PSPACE
in QIP follows immediately from the well-known equality IP = PSPACE, the
equality QIP = PSPACE follows.Comment: 21 pages; v2 includes corrections and minor revision
Impact of remittance on poverty and inequality in Nepal: Evidence from three rounds of the NLSS survey
This research paper addresses the question: How much of a role has the increase in migration and remittance played in the reduction of poverty and in the rise and subsequent fall in income inequality in Nepal
Dependence of dielectric constant and loss tangent on electric field in antiferroelectric squaric acid crystal
The double-time thermal Green function method with the symmetric and antisymmetric decoupling scheme and modified pseudospin model proposed by Li and Qin for squaric acid have been used in present study to discuss the effect of electric field on some dielectric properties. Expressions for shift, width, soft mode frequency, dielectric constant, loss and transition temperature have been evaluated. By fitting model values of physical quantities in the theoretical expressions thermal dependence of antiferroelectric mode frequency, dielectric constant and loss have been calculated in presence of electric field in the vicinity of transition temperature. Theoretical results are similar to other antiferroelectric crystals
Autonomous Robotic Arm Manipulation for Planetary Missions using Causal Machine Learning
Autonomous robotic arm manipulators have the potential to make planetary
exploration and in-situ resource utilization missions more time efficient and
productive, as the manipulator can handle the objects itself and perform
goal-specific actions. We train a manipulator to autonomously study objects of
which it has no prior knowledge, such as planetary rocks. This is achieved
using causal machine learning in a simulated planetary environment. Here, the
manipulator interacts with objects, and classifies them based on differing
causal factors. These are parameters, such as mass or friction coefficient,
that causally determine the outcomes of its interactions. Through reinforcement
learning, the manipulator learns to interact in ways that reveal the underlying
causal factors. We show that this method works even without any prior knowledge
of the objects, or any previously-collected training data. We carry out the
training in planetary exploration conditions, with realistic manipulator
models.Comment: 8 pages, ASTRA 2023: 17th Symposium on Advanced Space Technologies in
