Operation of Symmetrical and Asymmetrical Two-Phase Induction Motor by Using 3-Leg Voltage Source Inverter
The importance and demand of renewable energy have increased rapidly, especially due to the fact that the fossil fuels are reducing at an alarming rate. Out of the existing sources of renewable energies, solar energy has been very popular due to obvious abundance and convenience. The predominant use of electrical energy is heating, ventilation and air conditioning in residential and industrial sector. Single phase induction motor is widely used for such low-power appliances like pumps, compressors, agriculture equipment’s and blowers. In order to avoid losses and low-starting torque, we intend to use the single-phase induction motor as an asymmetrical two-phase induction motor, which will run on a two-phase supply yielding better efficiency, speed control and power factor. If a three-phase supply is available, Scott-T transformer can be used to get two-phase supply. However, if there is only single-phase supply available, two-phase inverter with Sine Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) technique can be used. This paper presents the method for two-phase supply using the 3-leg voltage source inverter (VSI) which is used to supply asymmetrical and symmetrical two-phase induction motor. The 16 bit microcontroller dsPIC is used for SPWM signal generation.Citation: Umredkar, S. V., Junghare, A., and Renge, M. (2018). INTELLIGENT SCADA FOR LOAD CONTROL
This paper presents the use of intelligent system with Supervisory control and data acquisition system (SCADA) Software and hardware components platform like PLC considered as the main contents of this project. SCADA software enables us to monitor, record data whenever required from the hardware installed and gives the status of the main power system components like motors, relays, panels, feeders, furnaces, etc. Feature of the design intends load control, distribution and history readings. A small hardware model shows the conveyer application which interface with SCADA and PLC. The application implemented on ladder logic simulation with KGL_WE simulator and SCADA helps to shows real time information about the system

Transabdominal ultrasound features and limitations in diagnosis of intra- and extra-uterine pregnancy: A pictorial essay
Transabdominal ultrasonographic examination is the imaging modality of choice in the diagnosis and confirmation of intra- and extra-uterine pregnancy. Still, it has its own limitations as the imaging appearances may vary. In this article, we present a pictorial review of ectopic pregnancy at different sites and intrauterine pregnancy associated with uterine malformations during which we experienced diagnostic dilemma regarding the origin of ectopic pregnancy and type of uterine malformations
Contrasting behavior of glio-ependymal cysts: A report of two cases and literature review
Cystic lesions of the brain may present with seizures or headache due
to raised intracranial pressure. These cysts when associated with
developmental brain anomalies may turn out to be pathologic surprises.
In the present communication, two patients with glio-ependymal cysts
were described with contrasting symptomatologies and surgical
management. Non-enhancing cystic lesions of the brain, without mural
nodule, may turn out to be glio-ependymal cysts, requiring total
surgical excision or marsupilization
Vertebral body hyperostosis as a presentation of Pott's disease: A report of two cases and literature review
Vertebral body tuberculosis has numerous forms of presentations. We
present two patients of Pott′s disease, in whom vertebral body
hyperostosis was the radiological presentation. Both the patients had
massive hyperostosis of vertebral bodies leading to the obliteration of
the spinal canal and neurological deficits. The first case had
associated lupus vulgaris, while the second patient had milliary
mottling of lungs and calcified bilateral psoas muscles. Surgical
decompression, followed by full-dose chemotherapy, remains the hallmark
of management of this disease
