Synthesis, characterization and phenol hydroxylation reaction of zeolite-Y encapsulated metal-salen complexes

    Get PDF
787-789Zeolite-Y encapsulated Mn-SALEN, Fe-SALEN and VO-SALEN complexes have been prepared and characterised by XRD, TGA, UV-Visible, IR and ESR spectra. They confirm the presence of complex inside the zeolite cages. These composites are found to be active redox catalysts. They hydroxylate phenol to the extent of 23-28 wt%

Synthesis and characterization of ALPO4-5 molecular sieve using triethanolamine as template

    No full text
375-376ALPO4-5 molecular sieve has been synthesised using triethanolamine (TEOA) as template in the gel composition TEOA. Al2O3• P2O5.4O H2O at 150°C in 16h. The material crystallizes in hexagonal system, with a = 13.37Å and c = 8.435 Å. Comparative study of as-synthesised AFI cell parameters indicates void filling role of the templates. From thermal studies it has been found that approximately one molecule of triethanolamine exists per unit cell composition. Ethylation of benzene as catalytic test reaction has been carried out

Mesoporous phases based on SnO2 and TiO2

A hexagonal mesoporous phase based on SnO2 is synthesized for the first time by using an anionic surfactant; hexagonal phases of TiO2 are prepared with neutral amine surfactants

Synthesis and characterization of titanium-aluminophosphate molecular sieves of AFI and AEL topologies

    Get PDF
920-924Titanium-aluminophosphate molecular sieves (TAPO4) of AFI and AEL topologies, free of anatase have been synthesised by modified procedure and characterised by XRD, TGA, DTA, Laser-Raman, DRS, FT-IR, 27AI, 31P and 13C MAS-NMR, SEM and chemical analysis. The synthesised TAPO4.s are crystalline and pure. The unit-cell constants are found to decrease on substitution of titanium, which occupies tetrahedral position. The chemical analysis and 31P MAS-NMR show the presence of traces of P2O5 in the channels

Evidence for supramolecular organization of alkane and surfactant molecules in the process of forming mesoporous silica

    No full text
Investigations of the pore expansion in mesoporous silica in the presence of n-alkanes suggest a cooperative organization of the surfactant and alkane molecules, involving additivity of chain lengths

Mesoporous phases based on SnO2 and TiO2

A hexagonal mesoporous phase based on SnO2 is synthesized for the first time by using an anionic surfactant; hexagonal phases of TiO2 are prepared with neutral amine surfactants

Synthesis and catalytic properties of cobalt- and molybdenum-containing mesoporous MCM-41 molecular sieves

    No full text
Mesoporous MCM-41 type silicas containing molybdenum and cobalt have been prepared with pore sizes in the range 30-38 Angstrom and 54-59 Angstrom. Catalytic properties of these materials have been examined with respect to the oxidation of cyclooctene and aniline
