The Study of the Method of Fight Against Formation of Polarizing Layer at the Process of Ultrafiltration Concentration of the Skim Milk

The description of experimental set and the method of processing of the results of the study of the method of fight against formation of polarizing layer in the process of ultrafiltration concentration of skim milk raw material were presented. The results of experimental studies relative to the sparging method application for the prevention of polarizing layer in the process of membrane processing of the skim milk and its influence on the capacity of ultrafiltration membranes were offered. The mathematical models were constructed on the base of regressive equations of factorial experiment using the method of the raw material sparging above the membrane surface for selection of technological parameters of the process of ultrafiltration concentration of the skim milk. The rational working parameters of the process of ultrafiltration concentration of the skim milk using the sparging of the skim milk by the gas bubbles in the direct closeness to the membrane surface were determined. Such working parameters are: pressure– 0,4...0,5 MPa, temperature of skim milk– 40...50 ºС, frequency of sparging of skim milk– 0,10...0,15 min-1, pressure of sparging must be 0,56...0,58 MPa

The Seventh International Olympiad in Cryptography: problems and solutions

The International Olympiad in Cryptography NSUCRYPTO is the unique Olympiad containing scientific mathematical problems for professionals, school and university students from any country. Its aim is to involve young researchers in solving curious and tough scientific problems of modern cryptography. In 2020, it was held for the seventh time. Prizes and diplomas were awarded to 84 participants in the first round and 49 teams in the second round from 32 countries. In this paper, problems and their solutions of NSUCRYPTO'2020 are presented. We consider problems related to attacks on ciphers and hash functions, protocols, permutations, primality tests, etc. We discuss several open problems on JPEG encoding, Miller -- Rabin primality test, special bases in the vector space, AES-GCM. ОЦЕНКА ЭФФЕКТИВНОСТИ ПЛАСТИКИ ЛЕВОГО ЖЕЛУДОЧКА ПО DOR’У У ЛИЦ МОЛОДОГО ВОЗРАСТА

The purpose: to study the effectiveness of patch of the left ventricle according to the method of Dor in young people (up to 45 years).Materials and methods: The study was conducted on the basis of the Cardiosurgery Unit No. 2 of the RRCH for 10 years. 38 patients with left ventricular aneurysm and reduced left ventricular function were included in the prospective study. A functional class of heart failure and quality of life before surgery was determined, after surgery before discharge of patients from the hospital and 12-24 months later (on average 20 months later) after discharge from the hospital by questionnaire method. The quality of life was assessed using the Medical Outcomes Study 36 Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). The questionnaire consists of 36 questions, the results are presented in the form of scores from 0 to 100 and are distributed over 8 scales, the higher the ball, the better the patient's quality of life. The functional state of the patients was assessed based on the dynamics of the NYHA functional class of heart failure.Results: This study showed that, after the Dor method, left ventricular function increased from 39.3 ± 1.40% to 45 ± 2.2%. According to the SF-36 questionnaire, the overall scores of physical functioning improved significantly 12-24 months after the operation (+ 29% p <0.05). Mental health scores also increased (+ 20%, p <0.05) at the end of follow-up.Conclusions: Patch of the aneurysm of the left ventricle by the method of Dor together with mammary-coronary or aorto-coronary bypass allows to significantly improve the quality of life of patients under 45 years old, restore the ability to work, improve the psychological state of patients.Цель: изучить эффективность пластики левого желудочка по методу Дора у лиц молодого возраста (до 45 лет)Материал и методы: Исследование проходило на базе отделения кардиохирургии №2 ГБУ РО РОКБ в течение 10 лет. 38 больных с аневризмой левого желудочка и сниженной функцией левого желудочка были включены в проспективное исследование. Были определены функциональный класс сердечной недостаточности и качество жизни перед операцией, после операции перед выпиской больных из стационара и через 12-24 месяца (в среднем через 20 месяцев) после выписки из стационара методом анкетирования. Качество жизни оценивалось с помощью методики Medical Outcomes Study 36 Item Short Form Health Survey (SF-36). Опросник состоит из 36 вопросов, результаты представлены в виде баллов от 0 до 100 и распределяются по 8 шкалам, чем выше балл, тем лучше качество жизни пациента. Функциональное состояние больных оценивали на основании динамики функционального класса сердечной недостаточности по NYHA.Результаты: Данное исследование показало, что после операции по методу Дора функция левого желудочка возросла с 39.3±1.40% до 45±2.2%. По опроснику SF-36 общие баллы физического функционирования существенно улучшились через 12-24 месяца после операции (+29% p<0.05). Баллы психического здоровья также увеличились (+20%, р<0,05) в конце наблюдения.Выводы: Пластика аневризмы левого желудочка по методу Дора совместно с маммарно-коронарным или аорто-коронарным шунтированием позволяет значительно улучшить качество жизни пациентов до 45 лет, вернуть способность к труду, улучшить психологическое состояние пациентов

Analysis of microbial populations in plastic-soil systems after exposure to high poly(butylene succinate-co-adipate) load using high-resolution molecular technique

BACKGROUND: Bio-based and biodegradable plastics are considered as plastics of the future owing to their ability to decompose under various environmental conditions. However, their effects on the soil microbiome are poorly characterised. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effects of an important bio-based and biodegradable plastic, polybutylene succinate-co-adipate (PBSA), on soil microbial diversity and community composition using high-resolution molecular technique (Illumina sequencing) targeting all three microbial domains: archaea, bacteria, and fungi. RESULTS: Adding high load of PBSA to soil (6% (w/w)) caused a significant decline in archaeal (13%) and fungal (45%) richness and substantial changes in both bacterial (Proteobacteria, Actinobacteria, and Acidobacteria) and fungal (Eurotiomycetes, Sordariomycetes, Leotiomycetes, and Dothideomycetes) community composition compared with no PBSA addition to soil. The combined effects of PBSA and (NH₄)₂SO₄ fertilisation on the soil microbiome were much greater than the effects of PBSA alone. We only detected opportunistic human pathogens in low abundance on PBSA and in the surrounding soil. However, some plant pathogenic fungi were detected and/or enriched on the PBSA films and in surrounding soil. Apart from plant pathogens, many potential microbial control agents and plant growth-promoting microorganisms were also detected/enriched owing to PBSA addition. Adding high load of PBSA together with (NH₄)₂SO₄ fertilisation can either eliminate some plant pathogens or enrich specific pathogens, especially Fusarium solani, which is economically important. CONCLUSIONS: We conclude that high load of bio-based and biodegradable PBSA plastic may negatively affect soil microbiome

Magnetoelectric ordering of BiFeO3 from the perspective of crystal chemistry

In this paper we examine the role of crystal chemistry factors in creating conditions for formation of magnetoelectric ordering in BiFeO3. It is generally accepted that the main reason of the ferroelectric distortion in BiFeO3 is concerned with a stereochemical activity of the Bi lone pair. However, the lone pair is stereochemically active in the paraelectric orthorhombic beta-phase as well. We demonstrate that a crucial role in emerging of phase transitions of the metal-insulator, paraelectric-ferroelectric and magnetic disorder-order types belongs to the change of the degree of the lone pair stereochemical activity - its consecutive increase with the temperature decrease. Using the structural data, we calculated the sign and strength of magnetic couplings in BiFeO3 in the range from 945 C down to 25 C and found the couplings, which undergo the antiferromagnetic-ferromagnetic transition with the temperature decrease and give rise to the antiferromagnetic ordering and its delay in regard to temperature, as compared to the ferroelectric ordering. We discuss the reasons of emerging of the spatially modulated spin structure and its suppression by doping with La3+.Comment: 18 pages, 5 figures, 3 table
