    Physical Characteristics of ZnO nanorods synthesized by low power DC thermal plasma

    Study on synthesis and characterization of ZnO nanorods are reported. Low power DC thermal plasma was successfully employed to fabricate these ZnO nanorods. Several testing were conducted including X-ray fluorescence (XRF), particle size analyzer (PSA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The diameter of resulted ZnO nanorods varies from 43 nm to 200 nm which can be seen from SEM images and its length varies from 160 nm to 1000 nm. These nanopowders are in rod shape as can be seen clearly from TEM images. The XRD data shows a sharp peak at 36.21o which indicates a good crystal growth and agrees well with the standard data (JCPDS card no. 36-1451). Effects of electrical current variations of 20, 25 and 30 Ampereere to the size of ZnO nanorods are also indicated from aspect ratio of about 8.27, 8.44 and 8.81 respectively. The ultraviolet (UV) absorption test results show that the ZnO nanorods can absorb UV with the absorbance ranges are about 300 nm and 340 nm wave lengths as well as the peak is at the wave length of 311 nm. Photoluminescence test confirm that the ZnO spectra are in blue emission with the optimum excitation wavelength of 240 nm. It can be concluded that this method is well proven in synthesizing ZnO nanorods having perfect single crystalline size, high purity compound, UV-block ability and good luminescence characteristics by spending low electrical power

    Static Structural Analysis of Checking Fixture Frame of Car Interior Using Finite Element Method

    An inspection is the most important step for the manufacturers producing their cars. This ensures the seamless compatibility of each car part, as even minor errors can lead to user discomfort during operation. To achieve that goal, the utilization of inspection tools, such as a checking fixture is essential. In this research, we will study the structure analysis of a checking fixture with Ansys software. This study aims to examine the structural strength by analyzing the impact of various design variations on the overall strength outcomes. The requirement for checking fixture is that it must meet the datum tolerance of the car with value of ± 2mm. Due to that factor, a rigid checking fixture is needed for inspecting the part without experiencing significant deformation. In static loading, the result of the first variation frame has a stress of 5.71 MPa and deformation of 0.051 mm, the second variation frame has a stress of 6.16 MPa and deformation of 0.049 mm and the third variation frame has a stress of 5.63 MPa and deformation 0.042 mm. In terms of weight, the first variation structure has 2470.48 kg, the second variation structure has 2179.93 kg and the third variation structure has 2210 kg. The second variation frame has the highest stress but it has the lightest weight, and the third variation frame has lower stress and deformation but it has a heavier weight than the second variation model. The study results that the second variation model is superior because it has the lightest weight while the three designs have small stress and deformation that still satisfy the requirement of the fixture

    Abstract: The main task of education in the school system is learning. Improving the quality of school-based education does not occur without improving the quality of learning in schools. The effectiveness of a school in achieving its vision, carrying out its mission, meeting learning goals and targets, as well as in carrying out quality learning activities in a school, requires the existence of a principal who is able to display effective leadership, namely learning leadership. In addition, school principals need to improve their competence as learning leaders on an ongoing basis. The purpose of this activity is to increase the understanding of principals about: Principal leadership, learning leadership, religious leadership, and leadership change in superior schools in a sustainable, independent, and contextual way. Peningkatan mutu pendidikan berbasis sekolah tidak terjadi, tanpa peningkatan mutu pembelajaran di sekolah. Keefektifan suatu sekolah dalam menggapai visi, mengemban misi, memenuhi tujuan dan target pembelajaran, demikian pula dalam menjalankan aktivitas pembelajaran yang bermutu di suatu sekolah, mempersyaratkan adanya seorang kepala sekolah yang mampu menampilkan kepemimpinan yang efektif, yaitu kepemimpinan pembelajaran. Selain itu, kepala sekolah perlu meningkatkan kompetensinya sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan.     Analisis Kesiapan Mahasiswa dalam Mengikuti Pembelajaran Sistem Hibrid

    Abstract: This study aims to identify the factors of student readiness in participating in hybrid system learning. A quantitative approach, with an explanatory design, was used to answer the aforementioned research objectives. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Malang, with a total sample of 346 students, which were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the study, the factors studied, namely health conditions showed a tendency at the level of good criteria, understanding of the implementation of hybrid learning was in the criteria of understanding, the lifestyle of the majority of students living in boarding houses/rented and mobility using private vehicles during college, the application of health protocols was on the frequent criteria, students' perceptions of hybrid lectures are good, parental support shows a supportive tendency, and students' readiness to take hybrid lectures is on the supportive criteria.Keywords: Hybrid learning; higher education; student readiness; Covid-19Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor kesiapan mahasiswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran sistem hibrid. Pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan explanatory design, digunakan untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian yang telah disebutkan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Pendidikan, Universitas Negeri Malang, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 346 mahasiswa, yang dianalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor-faktor yang diteliti yakni kondisi kesehatan menunjukkan kecenderungan pada tingkat kriteria baik, pemahaman pelaksanaan hybrid learning berada pada kriteria paham, gaya hidup mahasiswa mayoritas bertempat tinggal di kos/kontrakan dan mobilitas menggunakan kendaraan pribadi selama berkuliah, penerapan protokol kesehatan berada pada kriteria sering, persepsi mahasiswa terhadap perkuliahan hybrid baik, dukungan orang tua menunjukkan kecenderungan mendukung, dan kesiapan mahasiswa mengikuti perkuliahan hybrid berada pada kriteria mendukung.Kata kunci: Hybrid learning; perguruan tinggi; kesiapan mahasiswa; Covid-1

    Swelling, Thermal, and Shear Properties of a Waste Tire Rubber Based Magnetorheological Elastomer

    In this study, the achievement of revulcanization, thermal stability, and rheological behaviors of waste tire rubber (WTR), based magnetorheological elastomers (MREs), were evaluated to convince their applicability as one of smart material possessing the field-dependent tuning capability of material characteristics such as complex modulus. The cross-linking density of the MREs was assessed through the swelling test to ratify the degree of reclaiming. The behavior of MREs to the temperature enhancement was evaluated via thermogravimetric analysis and thermomechanical analysis. Meanwhile, the alteration of shear stress depending on the magnetic fields was investigated at both steady and oscillatory states, measured using a rheometer. It has been shown that the increment of shear stress is proportional to the increment of the magnetic field. More specifically, it has been found that the WTR based MRE can achieve the maximum static stress ranging from 9 to 13 kPa (at 656 mT) with a linear viscoelastic (LVE) region above 3% strain amplitude. In addition, from the oscillatory test it has been determined that the highest MR effect of 24.71% can be achieved, which directly indicates the augmentation of both storage and loss moduli under ramped frequency and strain. Finally, it has been shown that the highest degree of reclamation based on swelling test can be achieved up to 54%, confirming the occurrence of the crosslinking during the reclamation process

    (B. Teknologi) Pengembangan Modul Cerdas Termoelektrik Berbasis Material Nano ZnO sebagai Peralatan Pemanen Energi dari Panas Terbuang pada Kondensor dan Kendaraan

    Potensi memanen energi dari panas gas buang kendaraan maupun kondensor AC sangatlah besar mengingat 40% lebih energi terbuang dari peralatan tersebut. Dengan jumlah kendaraan di Indonesia mencapai 18 juta berjenis roda empat/lebih dan lebih dari 52 juta berjenis roda dua (BPS, 2009) berarti potensi energi terbuang sebesar 530 ribu MWth. Termoelektrik merupakan pilihan yang tepat untuk mengolah potensi panas terbuang tersebut. Modul termoelektrik tersusun atas sambungan – sambungan tipe p dan n terbuat dari senyawa yang bersifat semikonduktor. Pada penelitian ini, senyawa ZnO digunakan sebagai material dasar untuk pembuatan semikonduktor tipe p dan n. Diawali dengan pembuatan material nano ZnO menggunakan metode DC thermal plasma yang sederhana dan praktis. Material yang dihasilkan dari proses tersebut berupa ZnO nanorods dengan diameter mulai 40 nm hingga 200 nm dan panjang 400 nm hingga 1000 nm. dimensi ini diketahui dari uji SEM dan PSA. Pengujian kemurnian material ZnO nanorods dengan XRF diperoleh bahwa kandungan senyawa ZnO lebih dari 98%. Struktur kristal ZnO nanorods dikategorikan dalam struktur wurzite yang memiliki nilai puncak sangat tajam dan sempit. Hal ini menunjukkan kualitas kristal sangat bagus. Pola – pola yang muncul dari hasil pengujian XRD tersebut sesuai dengan standar JCPDS No. 36-1451. Setelah berhasil membuat material nano ZnO, selanjutnya pembuatan semikonduktor tipe p dimulai. Ide awal pembuatan semikonduktor ini merujuk pada penelitian L.Q. Zhang dkk [51] yang telah mengembangkan semikonduktor tipe p yang mendoping unsur K ke dalam Zn1−xMgxO Pembuatan semikonduktor tipe p dilakukan dengan menggunakan material ZnO yang didoping dengan material MgO dan K2CO3. Tahapan yang dilakukan antara lain persiapan material dasar dengan kadar Zn0,95Mg0,05O:K, pencampuran senyawa – senyawa tersebut, pengeringan, pembuatan pellet dan proses sintering. Hasil yang diperoleh dari eksperimen tahap ini adalah hambatan semikonduktor masih terlalu tinggi sehingga perlu dilakukan revisi metode dan memastikan bahwa pada proses tersebut tidak terjadi kontaminasi mengingat material K dan Mg sangat mudah teroksidasi

    Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of entrepreneurship training, family support, achievement motivation and self-efficacy on students' interest in entrepreneurship. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach. The research population is students majoring in Educational Administration, FIP UM, with a sample of 203 students. Data analysis using SEM with the help of the AMOS 24.0 program. The results of this study are, (1) entrepreneurship training and family support have a partial and simultaneous effect on student achievement motivation, (2) entrepreneurship training and family support have a partial and simultaneous influence on student self-efficacy, (3) entrepreneurial training , family environment support, achievement motivation and self efficacy have partial and simultaneous influence on student entrepreneurship interest, and (4) entrepreneurship training and family environment support have indirect influence on entrepreneurship interest through student achievement motivation and self efficacy.Keywords: entrepreneurship training; family environment support; achievement motivation; self-efficacy; interest in entrepreneurship.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan kewirausahaan, dukungan lingkungan keluarga, motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian yakni mahasiswa jurusan Administrasi Pendidikan FIP UM, dengan sampel sebanyak 203 mahasiswa. Analisis data menggunakan SEM dengan bantuan program AMOS 24.0. Hasil penelitian ini yakni, (1) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap motivasi berprestasi mahasiswa, (2) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap self efficacy mahasiswa, (3) pelatihan kewirausahaan, dukungan lingkungan keluarga, motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy memiliki pengaruh secara parsial dan simultan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa, dan (4) pelatihan kewirausahaan dan dukungan lingkungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh tidak langsung terhadap minat berwirausaha melalui motivasi berprestasi dan self efficacy mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: pelatihan kewirausahaan; dukungan lingkungan keluarga; motivasi berprestasi; self efficacy; minat berwirausaha
