The clinical method of functional diagnostics the cervical radiculopathy by a manual muscle testing has been proposed. The relationship between the anatomical level of cervical radiculopathy and the muscles of body and upper extremities were described. Objective - the aim of the work is to analyze the experience of rendering medical and psychological assistance to servicemen who were and are involved in armed conflicts.At present, the problem of moral and psychological support, in general, and the issue of psychological rehabilitation, in particular, acquire special significance.The main problems of organization of psychological rehabilitation of combatants with post-traumatic stress disorder are investigated and ways of their solution are offered.Conclusions. In the conditions of high physical stress and psychological experiences of different combat situations, commanders of military units must perform a number of measures to ensure emotional and volitional stability of personnel and to prevent military injuries.Β Soldiers returning from the antiterrorist operation zone have not only physical trauma, but also mental trauma, which is often a more serious problem. Various types of case technologies are analyzed in the article, the features of implementation of them in the educational process are highlighted. Professional preparation of highly skilled specialist during studies is sent not only to the accumulation of theoretical knowledge but also on forming of the clinical thinking and ability of acceptance of the self-weighted decisions in the conditions of stress for the short interval of time that will assist the increase of competitiveness in the conditions of modern labor-market. Therefore task of modern teacher to adapt to the new requirements of educational environment which requires an interactive approach in teaching the material. Problem of introduction of interactive methods in the educational process of higher educational establishments, absence of single approach near creation of case-study, in particular from "Premedical aid in extreme situations" predetermines actuality of this research. The purpose of the study is to select and characterize the requirements and methodology for the formation of cases within the subject "Premedical aid in extreme situations" on the basis of working with scientific sources and results of empirical analysis. The varieties of case-technologies of are analyzed in the article, lighted up features of introduction of them in an educational process. The example of forming thematic case is resulted at the study of educational discipline of "Premedical aid in extreme situations". The advantages of the case-method are possibility to demonstrate academic theory from the point of view of real clinical cases, interest students in the study of a particular discipline, in the context of other subjects and phenomena, promotes the active mastering of knowledge and skills in the collection, processing and analysis of medical information. It is necessary to note the fundamental difference of the case-situation from the method of situational modeling. The base of situational modeling method is the situational problem, and the case is based on real events and contains a package of additional information. When deciding a case-study, the student not only uses the knowledge gained, but also demonstrates a level of understanding of the situation. Only after introduction of case-study in an educational process, the necessity of revision and editing of certain moments of case will become obvious. The process of improving the case depends on the creative collaboration of the teacher and students, which provides the interactivity of this technique. Research methods are experimental, observational, historic-theoretical. Conclusions: 1. Learning by the case-method helps students to acquire the skills in assessment of the clinical situation, analysis of the solutions and decision making with regard to the given circumstances. 2. The requirements for cases are based on processing research data and empirical study results. 3. The article analyzes the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to the Strategic Defense Bulletin of Ukraine, the purpose of defense reform in Ukraine is the acquisition and maintenance by the defense forces of the required combat readiness level and ability to fulfill the tasks of defense of the state (defense capabilities), effective response to emerging military threats and military-political challenges to national security, the level of interoperability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with units of the armed forces of NATO member states and the EU to fulfill common tasks in international peacekeeping and security operations. Purpose of the study. Conduct a scientific analysis of world and domestic sources of information on modem views on the organization and conduct of defense planning activities and assessing the capabilities of the medical service in the armed forces of the leading countries of the world. Research methods are descriptive, bibliosemantic, statistical, system analysis, conceptual modeling for the analysis and synthesis of defense planning data based on the capabilities and assessment of the capabilities of the armed forces medical service. The scientific novelty lies in the analysis and
justification of the direction of further research to improve the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Conclusions: Capability-based defense planning is the next stage in the development of the strategic planning system, which greatly improves the quality of planning, enhances the ability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to perform its intended tasks, in particular, introduces a mechanism for identifying and correcting risks. The directions of improvement of the methodology for assessing the capabilities of the medical service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are analyzed. The identification of risks occurs through an assessment of opportunities, but the process requires development and adaptation. The lack of effective approaches to capacity assessment, as well as the need for developing new or improving existing algorithms and assessment methods are highlighted
